Born and raised Canadian and lived 22 years of my life in Canada. Left Canada in 2005 and till this date, zero regrets. I went for an academic internship in 2004 during my Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering to University of Texas Austin. A professor offered me a position in his research lab for master's, so it was more like studying in US free of cost and earning monthly stipend for doing research. \nI never considered this as permanent move but quality of research I did in US, the opportunities and salary I received I could never imagine that in Canada. I am still in touch with my university friends in Canada work at low wages on obsolete tech stuff, with no innovation at work. Many of them want to move to the US, but for 10+ years they worked on outdated stuff, so they cannot compete with the talent pool in US. Even in 2004, I remember healthcare being bad and I keep hearing stories about how worse it has become. In US, I am covered by a good health insurance, I had surgeries for myself and my kids, and we never had any issues. Honestly, I can no longer trust Canadian healthcare with insane wait times for my kids safety.

I can see immigrants causing a housing problem, and maybe taking their jobs. The fact that these immigrants are attending school, getting diplomas, and doing as well as you say, tells me that the locals are NOT taking advantage of the available opportunities. I imagine they must contribute something to the local economy. It's easy to blame immigrants for your problems, but you have to consider multiple factors before you can do so. I didn't see a single homeless immigrant.

Bad management of our country courtesy of the Lieberals. Can you imagine any public or private corporation being run so badly to let things get so rundown. They would be out of business fast, as will we be if there isn’t a fast change in government.

It is so interesting how europeans whom have a notorious history for stealing people's lands, killing, raping etc. even till date, will come up on media to complain that some of their VICTIMS are migrating to a land (canada) which is not even originally european in the first place neither are the aborigines europeans. I am not indian, i don't support any evil done by any immigrant or any act of filth and disorderliness, i dont live in canada and never plan to live in canada but this is quite interesting. These immigrants are moving to canada without shedding no ones blood or raping anyone and it hurts you so called europeans like this. Now you europeans should put yourselves in their shoes to know how it felt when you entered their land uninvited, killed, maimed, raped, stole, oppressed, dehumanised etc. which you are even still doing till date systematically. Wear their shoes a little bit to know how it pinches. I saw some british people on another forum complaining that an indian is the prime minister. Just imagine a british man or woman whom are the most notorious for the crime against humanity called colonisation complaining that they have a foreigner leading their country. It is such a pity.

Now look around the rest of the world. I imagine you'll see the same major event occurring. must be the PM. Hot potato politics. You think Populist Pete will sweep it all away?

Imagine trying to do your job and you have to deal with racist people filming and verbally abusing you.

Imagine voting for a socialist liberal expecting a better future ???

Wholeheartedely agree with the content creator. We all see the measurable deprecation in our quality of life in almost all measurable areas. \nThe only burning question for me is whether we have already passed the point of no return and no matter what government is elected in future (regardless of party), will ever be able to revert the massive damage done over the last nine years to the country. If the damage cannot be reversed I would imagine that our brightest folks will simply leave the country. Seems to me we are already seeing that.\nRegardless of whether we are too far gone, I hope we carefully choose wisely next election. The fact we are where we are now, is a direct consequence of the party and the people we did elect. I also hope our collective memory is strong enough to never ever make the same mistake again.

Why leaving the country for this scum. Imagine him being far away from home and face something like that , and u cant go back to loved ones

Imagine 2050. Most people who are 65+ today will be deceased. Most of their children have 1 or no children. 100,000 per year dead from drugs (that's at least 2,600,000). Pizza delivery guy should carry change for 'small' denominations unless it only does card transactions.\n\nLaw requires businesses to carry change for small denominations. Imagine the price is 15 dollars and a few cents, and the customer has a 20 dollar bill; it is illegal to force the client into a nearly 5 dollar delivery tip because the business did not let delivery guy carry small change . As usual, shady business practices.\n\nNo doubt the verbal rant was over the top, but the business practice of not carrying small change and forcing customer's hand is also illegal !!\n\nThat is why his bosses may have told him to leave with his tail tucked between his legs rather than risk a costlier lawsuit.

Delivery guy is a saint. I've never wanted to see someone get punched in the face so bad. Could you imagine yelling at someone for like 10 minutes over like 4 dollars in change?

This started well before 2016. I lived in Brampton 2013 to 2015 and there were so many job agencies and Immigration companies that catererd to only Indians and they will turn you away if you are not Indian. I was surprised that the law did not intervene. It was a shit show then with so many racist Indians and Pakistanis, crime-ridden and just horrible so I can't imagine what it's like now. SO many mosques and barely any churches. Let's not even get into the shitty drivers that live there....smh

At Boquillas del Carmen in the Big Bend Natl Park in Texas, dozens of Mexicans vaqueros are wading across the river in either direction at any time, herding cattle and selling souvenirs. The river is so shallow there that even chihuahuas can wade across, and tourists can barely float down the river in their canoes. They do this under the very eyes of an American border patrol watchtower, having reached a tacit understanding that they would return to Mexico by the end of the day.\n\nI imagine the border patrol would be more concerned if a third country national does that, but it seems easy to blend in with the Mexicans.

Such a horrible, crazy person harassing this young man. This young man behaved so well and patiently with all the name calling. You have to be put in jail. I can only imagine you must be the loneliest man on earth waiting to pick on others. Shame on you psycho!!!
