What bothers me the most is how Canada prioritizes low skill workers over high skilled. Came here 2 years ago on work permit, both wife and I are tech professionals with over 10 years of work ex in global organizations. I honestly wouldn't mind going back to India or any other country once my visa expires as I know my skills are enough to land a job anywhere (got a job in 1.5 months here). Value add to the economy must also be kept in mind while choosing your permanent residence by the government, how it works in US.

Well, I can’t speak for Canada, Australia, or the UK, I know America isn’t banning Indians. I wish they would start banning the billionaires though and allow the American citizens to have a real democracy rather than the sham democracy, we currently have.

Unfortunately it is not true that a majority of the Indians are highly qualified. To be honest many of the Indian students here have poor communication skills and questionable qualifications. What is needed is a more careful selection process. I know of some Indians who are highly trained well educated and an asset to Canada especially in the health and tech fields. At the same time I see many who are not able to pass basic language tests let alone professional examinations.

The system is BROKEN. Tenants like this one are abusing the backlogs, landlords like this one want pitty when they are clearly MAKING INCOME on these rentals but are NOT paying taxes on those earnings yet, everyone else has to pay taxes on what little they earn. PLUS, there are landlords such as mine that has decided to take away my basement after renting the WHOLE house so he can build another unit so he can make more money but all he's offered is to keep my rent at the same price, no increase. I have to put up with losing space, parking, dealing with deathly noise for who knows how long just so he can make more money????? He should have made a clear contract around this plan he had to add another unit when he rented it to me. Sadly, landlords have become very greedy, I don't know where they get so much money to buy multiple homes but most families in Canada today can't afford the outrageous downpayments being asked to own a home!!!! I don't necessarily feel sorry for landlords. NOW pay taxes on your income from these homes and you have more of a right to complain I say.

If we, the United States, know how many Indians are crossing the Canadian border into the U.S. side, that must mean WE are letting them in. Why the heck not return them to Canada right there and then? They are surely not being persecuted in Canada, so why allow them in? And the same goes for all the undocumented people crossing over from Mexico. By making it so easy and allowing all illegals into the country, the United States is really at fault for the mess that it is in.

Canada was originally the most beautiful and richest G-d given gift to mankind. It was the genuine Garden of Eden. But then reality followed. Sounds to me like the Indian population has taken over housing and jobs in Brampton, that why the white people are on the street. I believe that lack of health care in the U.S. stops many Canadians from even considering moving and working in the U.S. It may take longer to get medical care and treatment in Canada, but everyone is entitled to it. About 30 yrs ago we all paid into it, at our jobs. Not anymore. I believe employers may still be paying into it, but I think now it is just paid for with our taxes. So even people that do not work or are retired, each and every person is allowed it - if you live here.\nThere is also some Dental Care provided for some Children. Very recently,free Dental care is provided for people over 65. It is very new, so I do not know a lot about it yet. Also some drugs too are free for those over 65 too.\n\nPersonally I do not even want to visit the U.S because it seems like a very dangerous place.

Anybody who knows anything about our immigration policy knows that it’s almost impossible to come into this country. It’s way easier to get into the states than it is to try and get into Canada.

I was born and raised in Canada and last august I left to move to the Czech Republic. If you’ve ever been there you’ll know it’s not the cheapest country and I live in the most expensive city. I still am able to afford to live off my not so high salary of an English teacher. I wouldn’t be able to afford living away from my parents in Canada, I’m not saying it’s been easy or cheap, I have 6 roommates and my rent is over 50% of my monthly salary. I had to take out a loan from my parents to afford all the visa fees and hidden costs of moving to another country. However if I had stayed in Canada I would have been earning less because I couldn’t find a job in my field. I am filled with rage about the governments decisions to mess up the country like they have. And yes we have an immigration problem but they are not the problem, it’s the government. My mother was an immigrant to Canada, and yes she’s doing okay right now but things have changed a lot since she immigrated and how Canada is now.
