I'm Asian from Republic of Korea. I liked USA but since a few days I'm really hating that country because of racism against Asians, Black people, people who are different religious. I've not seen other countries being this racist as America. I'm not saying that everyone from USA is racist but sadly i'm sure majority of them are! American people think that every Asian is Chinese and they call us Virus, they tell us to go back to our country if an Asian visits. This is how many Asians are losing interest in USA nowadays.. \nsorry for my bad English, i'm still learning! ??‍♂️

I’m Canadian born but mums family is from Europe. \n\nIt’s seems like not a lot has changed since the 1960’s my grandfather had trouble finding a job for a while due to not having Canadian experience. \n\nIt took my friends 7years to become citizens here. As a born Canadian. They had to go back to school. Unless you are in the medical profession I don’t see why you have to go back to school. \n\nMost of our health care does come from taxes yes I can’t tell you how great it is that I don’t have to pay $80,000 per surgery. I have 17 over my life. In other places in the world that would make me homeless. \nBut the dental care has cost me a lot because of my condition. But even for me that is a fair trade off. (I rather drugs, dental would be covered) \n\nTaxes also include subsided things for the public, libraries, roads that fixed, reduced fares for public transportation, reduced health cost for low income families that’s not covered by the government. etc. Not all great but the health care coverage is great to not have to pay in full. I only pay $6000 in taxes at most a year. I have a low income. The more you make the more they will tax you because it helps get the services for everyone. That’s why you are taxed more if you make more.

Everyone want to sit in the office and earn money. Thousands of people graduate from schools every year and thousands come from foregin countries to work here in the office. Canada don't have so many companies like US and can't give everyone work in the office. And in the future so many office jobs will disappear due to the technology. Don't think to sit in the office and earn. There are so many jobs in construction and transportation and traits. Try them and become skillful and earn money.

Having 3 degrees including a MSc. I can confirm that it's hard to get even an acknowledgement from the employer. Lack of Canadian experience or education comes in way and almost feels like discrimination . So many people have to ditch their dreams for a survival job. It's a trade off not everyone is comfortable doing. It's a shame so much human capital is lost but it also provides cheap stable labour so I'm sure they won't complain.

Great video! I would like to share my personal experience so far: I came to Toronto in 2020 for a 2-year college program, met great friends that became family (flew back to my home country during the pandemic, graduated, and came back 3 months ago) and applied for my PGWP. However, I am planning on moving back home next year. Canada is a vast country, with friendly people in its majority, a rigorous taxation system, but what makes me mad is that some Youtubers portray that PR is the ultimate goal (which is not always granted) and even promote this toxic attitude that if you don't aspire to PR then you are wasting your time. Immigration is not for everyone, sometimes I think to myself if I should've invested that college money ($8k per semester) to buy a piece of land that over time will be more profitable. It leaves me with a bittersweet taste, but I will be forever thankful to Canada for the friendships that I made here and the experiences that I had.

You guys need to explain why Canada's waiting line is so long. Canada prioritizes the patients into the worst conditions first like cancer over a broken leg. Canada wants to save everyone and not leave any canadians behind, america is all about leaving americans behind to die to cant afford healthcare and to not being able to make a decent living. America is all about letting their own die. It wont change. Selfishness is america.

He is not talking about absolutely harsh weather…where you can not leave door without fully packed thats not 4 months or less you are talking about 8 months in canada…extreme weather, bad food, tasteless fruits and vegetables, no family support, kids living without cousins and relatives, if you want your children to be raised muslim you have to find good muslim school. Its not that easy not for everyone. Its for young people come earn save and go back. A small house in canada would cost you a million which is about 12 cror that loan you will be paying for the rest of your life. If you have a little bit of cash you would be so much better off in Pakistan. If there was a war going on in pakistan like syria palestine then yes right now it would be a stupid decision for majority of people to move here.

A compelling documentary, thank you. Why is it that black people continue to be so demonised and de-humanised? It is such a shame that follow Asians and even American Natives play such a role in perpetuating racism against African descent people, but I guess they have their issues of identity. STOP INSTITUTIONAL RACISM. We are real mothers, real fathers, real children who have a birthright to equal treatment, respect and human dignity, whether or not you choose to disagree.

Telling Asians to get out of America, Canada or any foreign countries is like saying “Goodbye Nurses, Doctors, Caregivers, Hotel Staff, Food Staff and all the other Asians trying to help the economy”. So please, treat everyone equally.

Racism huh? Many Filipinos have white blood in them, the Meztizos and Meztizas. What this creep doesn’t know is that many Filipinos who may not be too fair skinned, have grandparents who are white. What if Filipinos start discriminating guys like him then? Filipinos are a literal mixed blood and can be darker skinned. Skin color has never been a basis nor does it give a right to be a racist. We are all equal in the eyes of God, so why not see everyone and treat everyone equally? Under the law of course, that guy is accountable for his actions. Obviously, court action can only be taken if the family takes action against that guy.

Why is everyone surprised Canada has immigration laws??? We do not hate ppl who want a life in Canada but you need to inform yourself properly before actually showing up here.Canada’s immigration system is not unnecessarily strict like the us, but that doesn’t equate to anyone coming here. There is no false hope. Also Vancouver is literally the worst place for an immigrant/ refugee to start their lives; way too expensive.

This is almost exactly like Sweden, but with a few key differences.\n- Healthcare (including dental care) is free for everyone below the age of 18, after that it's really cheap compared to the U.S.\n- You're not expected to tip anyone, at any occasion.\n- Taxes are way higher, (30% mentioned in the video is roughly the amount the lowest income takers pay, rather than the highest, I know someone who pays a little above 60% in tax each month)\n- Although you come a long way with just English, the language is necessary for living long term.\n\nAnyhow, very informative video! There are illegals in canada but honestly I feel bad for them because they think it's like in the state where they are free to do what they want. Here it's very very difficult because everyone who is a resident has a medical insurance which is hugely important plus not a lot of places pay cash , unlike the US. Canada is kind of a half socialism and at the same time capitalism ( only for huge corporations)

I liked Sham he seemed cool, but the middle on has a chip on her shoulder. First of all regarding the Oscars, I didn't think US was that good and you don't really think I hope that you should be awarded just because you're black? that's very racist period. I see lots of videos like this and yes i agree that we have racism in Canada just like in every single other country around the world. I also notice that never once in one video have i seen one of these people mentioning the racism that is tough to children not just white children but all children as everyone knows racism is a tough behavior. To me, a democratic society is an equal and just society for each and every citizen. Freedom is where every citizen has all their civil rights in that democratic society. This means we should be valued and treated equally under every circumstance.\n\nI'm a Canadian and I can see we are not doing that by over-policing black and indigenous communities, by denying indigenous communities the ability to participate in Canadian society with their own culture in tact and by our biases about people with other ethnicities, like Asians and East and West Indians.\n\nWe may not be bad as the US, but we are still doing these things. It needs to be addressed and rectified if we ever want to be a truly self-aware, equal and just democratic society for every citizen.\n\nRegardless of the political party we support, I can't fathom why every citizen would not want an equal and just democratic society for themselves and their fellow citizens, as it improves everyone's lives.

I'm calling bs. I grew up in Scarborough, the schools in my area were mixed Caribbean, Canadian, European, Indian (and other South asain), Chinese (and other East Asian), middle Eastern, African, Latino, everyone went to the same school. Everyone's families were and are poor going through the same struggle. By the time I got to highschool I took the higher level courses, I went to class everyday, I wasn't a smart kid I didn't get to uni, I took a bridging program in college and got into uni. It's not hard to climb the latter in Canada if you work for it. Meanwhile at the same school a large percentage of Carribean and Somalian black students do not go to class, they skip, they dont care. In fact these same kids picked and made fun of the Asian kids that did go to school. They have zero respect imo. You can call me whatever you want I am just speaking my personal experience. School never seemed like a priority to them. I'm not Chinese or Indian but those 2 cultures always seemed like the hardest working. Those kids went to every class and got the best grades. Again Caribbean and Somalian black students in my area were more likely to be distruptive in class and get into fights. As were Greek kids and Canadian/Irish white kids. I am only pointing out the black students in relation to this video. Personal accountability is important, I don't disagree there is problems with the system but let's not act like there isn't a problem within black and even poor white culture itself. Sometimes you have to look in the mirror.

I’ve shockingly had the opposite, when I did cheerleading I was the palest girl on the entire team (and in the whole school). They liked to tease me about never being able to tan, that if I laid under sand with my ankles showing it’d blend in. I feel very bad for anyone and everyone that is discriminated wrongly against.

This is such a ridiculous video. Especially the implication that other races are less biased than whites. Asian folks largely stick with Asian folks. Muslims often times only marry Muslims. Most black people in America admit to racial bias and there is a large amount of hate crime against white folks that is not charged that way because of their white skin. Almost everyone has cultural bias. As a matter of fact I would make the argument that white folks are more likely to date and marry outside their race and Christians too.

My mother was German/Irish. My father was french/dutch. I tan quite well, enough time in the sun and I get Puerto Rican dark. I got my dad's curly hair. I spent 10 years on the south coast of of the US so when I moved back to Missouri I was quite dark, not really an issue on the cost as everyone is kinda dark lol Back in Missouri I got followed around stores, had my bags checked coming out of stores, had clears talk to me in slow broken English, and before I could open my mouth was told they didn't speak spanish. I have since lost my tan and all that with it. Stuff like that is a real wake up call.

Originally from the Philippines here and once a homeless man told me to go back where I came from. I'm actually surprised he said that, I’m just a passerby.\n\nIt hurts a bit but then I moved on. I think racism is everywhere. People just don’t have the time and mental energy to understand and know each other, I guess.\n\nThat is why I’m telling my son to have a good solid ground of resilience (aka not be to be a snowflake). Life is too short to wallow on this. We came to Canada as immigrants, do not except everyone to treat you like a first class citizen. But the way you act, the way you do, and how you treat people around you may earn you respect regardless of your color, race or creed.

There’s no racism nowadays. It’s an figment of everyone’s imagination. If you look at critically, like I have, you will soon see that if anyone is being taken advantage of it’s white males. Guess what? White males are kicking our asses.
