International students get 3 years of work permit after studies. Skilled students get a job in their profession, gather enough points for PR, and get the Permanent Residency. Students with no/less skills don't qualify for PR and they have to leave. This has been the law since always and hundreds of students return back home upon expiry of their temporary status in Canada, but now students from Punjab, India with no professional skills, want to get PR by protesting.

As a South Africa working in Germany on a skilled worker visa, it was not the easiest to get the visa even with a job offer and working remotely for the company for more than two years. \n\nI agree with the three points to improve.\n\nBut Germany is expensive, even if you get a cheap apartment and live on bread and one eat meat twice a week, it’s expensive, you keep on paying taxes or fines for things you don’t even know and or use.\n\nThe dream of living in a safe EU country is also becoming something of the past with increased violent crimes and the far right movement. \n\nMy plan was to save more money and buy a property in Germany, but on arrival I had to use my savings to pay for the massive deposit on an apartment and an over priced apartment at that. But housing is limited so you must take what you can get. \n\nThe “free” healthcare is pathetic in comparison to what I paid for private healthcare in South Africa, and I pay more for the healthcare in Germany than I did back home and you have less benefits.\n\nThe only reason I am here is as my home country doesn’t have employment for someone like me, and that makes me somewhat sad. But hence why I need to appreciate how privileged I am to be living in Germany.

Nothing wrong with International students as long as they are Not All from India. It's as if Indian government moles have penetrated the Canadian gov under Trudeau to only bring Indians to Canada and give only Indians all the work permits. I as a canadian citizen have suffered from those people in my work place. they dont know how to intiigrate and thry dont allow any person to work in the same place if the person is non-indian. so racist . its about time they leave this country for canadians.

My family came from Canada from India over 100 years ago we came over here legally we tried to assimilate I think what really bothers me now is that these new international students are giving all of us a bad name most of them cheat on their English exams back in India, and this is a known fact most of them can’t speak English and hence why they fail the colleges here expecting to be passed automatically. they work over 40 hours a week illegally and lie about it The government is subsidizing international students but they are taking jobs away from our students. We paid taxes my entire life and my son applied for over 100 jobs and got nothing because every single job is taken over by international students they are they are abrasive. They are entitled, they cannot seem to understand how assimilation works. They are so entitled and they feel they can protest out in the streets when they dont get PR. They came on a student visa and were expected to go home. They are now complaining and protesting at this point they all need to be sent home because this is ridiculous, PR should be handed out as needed not automatically and right now there are so many Canadians without jobs so we don’t need more workers. I also work in healthcare most of the students or their families come in don’t have appropriate healthcare and we end up paying millions of dollars in healthcare bills because of them, we have had families come visit their international students with no healthcare having strokes costing us healthcare workers and the government over $1 million. We don’t have the infrastructure for these students to stop. The government needs to stop subsidizing. The government needs to stop handing out PR like they’re handing out candyscamin India and here charged enough is enough. I will def be writing to my politician

They need to be sent home. Canadians are done. We are done. They are so entitled so obnoxious they come here as students but clearly want PR and hence are not going to school working full-time taking jobs away from our Canadian students. They can’t pass the courses because they can’t speak English properly there is so much scamming going on. They need to come in the right way not the entitled way , do not give out any more PR send them home. Everyone’s absolutely done.

When I was in college, Indian students were my nightmares for group work. Many of them kept silence until the previous day of deadline, and said they wanted to take part; some others would say at the beginning that they needed to work in the day so they had very limited time for the work and brazenly begged to slack off. I’m a proud Canadian citizen almost 50 years. I started to work at the next day I arrived to Canada.Despite my University degrees I did the job as janitor,shirt order cook,waitress,etc. till I found and learn a new profession in exciting photography business. I stopped working when I lost my eyes vision. Why the people who came from Middle East are mostly preferred being on Government benefits? They don’t wish to assimilate and accept our values!They covered their faces by hijabs and used all privileges as housings (all new affordable apartments and townhouses belong to them),free medical services and benefits -given to Muslim immigrants. Why it’s happened? I’m not a racist,and not against Muslims religious but I’m against that such a welcomed generosity of our Government.

Our kids can’t find summer jobs and this government is lost its direction s. As we know when our children when they are off school they used to work in gas station, Timhortons, Wal marts but at this time it isn’t available anymore.

Students are stealing Canadian's jobs. Our kids can't even find temporary jobs these days. Trudeau has really ruined this beautiful country. Students should not be allowed to work outside of Campus and should go back after completing their studies.

I am an immigrant essentially - finally got my PR after 3 years in 2012 (on a skilled worker application - IT Systems Manager), 10k in lawyers fees - I took exams to prove I can write read and speak English - I maintained a decent level of fitness to pass my medical (cost more money in gym memberships) (I was born and bred in the UK and privately educated there) I bought a house before I was a PR - I had to jump through hoops and I played by the rules to get my PR (I am now a citizen) - I do not understand how these people think that they can just demand what I had to work so very hard to achieve...?

Universities have lost all credibility. Why feed anything into a system designed to help proliferate wars and genocides abroad while increasing surveilance domestically and suppressing dissent from conscionable youth through militarized force? The system is cooked... bring in international students to financially support our failing insitutions, then put unreasonable limits on how many hours they can work. Who can survive this way and who would want to perpetuate a system designed against them?

Isn't this CLEAR EVIDENCE that a significant number of international students only come for work and immigration and not for education? I'm not saying they are doing anything wrong; people will do whatever based on the incentives available to them. Work and an eventual Canadian passport are just too good a deal to pass up for many international students.
