As a Canadian myself, what I don’t understand is why the heck would you want more people in country when 1 some places in Canada don’t have clean water, 2 rent/taxes are just way to high to sustain two people for food. Even the indigenous population hasn’t even had proper help in a long time. Sucks that one moment the government was helping looking at old residential schools only to stop once media stop covering it. But as a Country Canada has a right to stop or slow down immigration if it is in the best interest of Canada and their economy. Australia, Singapore, USA all have done that. We cant call it hypocrisy.\n\nAlso once you leave your home and immigrate to another country for study, job or whatever, you cannot expect the governments of those counties to make decisions favorable to you. In Trump era, USA was very strict on Visa policies and many Indians moved out of USA. I was in Canada for 1.5 months and I can say them much better than India. They have flaws but compared to India they are not that major. Human life matters there a lot more than in India. We as Indian expect they should behave like India so that we will get any thing and do things the we are doing in India but we forgetting one thing we are in there country we need to adopt our self according to there standers. They might lack sometime in medical but native people have much better Health than Indians because since childhood we are taking tablet for any sickness.

While many points in this video strike true, most are exaggareted or outdated. I would take this with a grain of salt. I live in Vancouver, make far less than six figures and purchased an appropriately sized home 4 years ago. It will become more difficult with a higher rate down the line, but I also don't expect to live above my means and maintain a status for the Jones' while covering my bills and growing wealth when I can. 50% of the issues people experience are self-inflicted, barring unavoidable health issues, etc. If an immigrant like me can do it, surely people who grew up here, who have family and maybe even a partner, can learn to navigate this market successfully.

I live in Calgary with a spouse and two kids and what most people would consider successful and it is nothing what I would have expected. We are mid 30s with a high household income and still struggle. We are self made (no family help) and between the house, kids, and insanely high living costs (think food, taxes, insurance, transportation...ect) we just get by. We struggle and then I think of the families making the average income and it blows my mind. I don't know how all the parents out there do it. This country is broken. Housing is insane, every industry is dominated by one or two corporations putting the screws to everyone making the cost of living unsustainable, and the government taxes you into the ground...how long can it really last
