The worst part is that the healthcare has really gone down. Paramedics can take an hour to come. Wait in hospital 24 hours. Robot care. MRI you have to have a lethal disease to get a fast appointment. Most of the time you are just dead by the time your turn comes. Sad to see what this country has come to. It is garbage and comparing it to war torn countries still doesnt make it seem like a paradise.

I was born BC, Canada 40 years ago. In my 31 years of working, the minimum/general hourly wage has gone from $7 to $17/hour. In my 24 years of renting, a one bedroom apartment went from between $500-$600/month to $1700+/month if you're lucky. Most businesses make too little to pay a living wage and governments make too much off of people trying to get rid of questionably gained money to care about the lives/best interests of the average person.

Some of the places for rent you showed in this video are in my neighbourhood. My neighbourhood has been predominantly Indian since I first moved here 20 years ago, the the demographic shift isn't as noticeable other than the fact that its gone from mostly Indian Canadian families who are mostly Canadian citizens to now a lot of young Indian students who just arrived in the past few years. But I can imagine how rapid the demographic transformation might seem to someone who lived in a predominantly non-Indian neighbourhood that's now being flooded with Indians. The thing that confuses me is why India specifically has such a huge increase in immigrants since 2020 while before China and the Philippines had just as many if not more immigrants, but China and the Philippines stagnated while India just continues to skyrocket. Funny enough the people I hear who are most against this mass migration are Indians themselves who were either born here or have been living here a lot longer.

Theres no jobs here even with high education, this country has gone down bigtime.

the infrastructure of Canada cannot handle a million new people a year. the Liberal government has exploited international students and temporary workers too much and needs to be reigned in. these policies and practices do not benefit Canadians, only landlords and franchise owners and the tax collectors are getting the benefits. you and i get inflated demand on rent and food prices. overcrowded classrooms and hospitals. delivery drivers who can't understand english and drive like maniacs. this is exacerbating the housing crisis in such a way that a single person cannot compete for the cost of a one bedroom apartment when a group of indians will share the cost with as many as seven people in one unit. our infrastructure, housing and transit was never intended to have this many people. there isn't even any rapid transit outside a handful of cities. mass immigration is also leading to election interference and could be used to vote in WEF garbage that will ruin even more nice things we take for granted. our high trust society is gone. shameless life hacks and citizenship of convenience is all most migrants are coming for. mass immigration is bringing down the standard of living in Canada. poverty and homelessness are out of control. whether its the chaos of crime or the eyesore of encampments. whether its was just a package on your porch or your car stolen from your driveway, the government isn't handling the load that mass immigration is putting on society and Canada's legal system is a joke. its almost like the Liberals are actively recruiting an army of psychopaths just to vote for them. the drugs and the gangs and the organized crime isn't worth the hollow platitudes and desperate social programs.

A big part of this problem is the huge amounts of immigrants coming here. Our infrastructure and welfare, housing and job availability has been drained and taxes have gone crazy to support this nightmare!

Costs have gone to far average Canadians living on poverty I’m retiring soon but can’t afford to retire in my own country and must move to another country to live above the poverty level with taxes so high which will take 25% of my pensions if I move out of Canada ! Even though I will not be using in services of Canada !? One point is correct mainly to flood the labour pool and keep wages to low forcing many average Canadians living in poverty and of course the expansion of food banks for Canadians trying to keep up to the high cost of living including higher taxes and the foolish so called Carbon Tax another tax grab !

I grew up in Brampton since the early 80s and witnessed the massive cultural/demographic shift over a period of 20 years. Now, it has become the place to go for a lot of the newcomers, and that was what it was. However, with the recent illegal immigration there has been an unprecedented spike in crime. Firearms, drugs, pr@stitution, car theft, and home break-ins have all gone through the roof. I know that it still hasn't reached Toronto status yet, but we are very close considering the size of the population. We need to deal with home first before we take on the worlds problems.

As a Canadian citizen, I see that there are 3 major issues at play in this problem - \n\n1) Canadian colleges are starved off funds and do not have a sufficient, stable source of revenue. Hence they seek to attract international students who pay (at least) 4X the fee a Canadian citizen would pay. According to mainstream media such as The Globe and Mail, National Post and others, International students contribute some where between $15 to $18 billion per year in revenue to Canada. This is huge!\n\nSince this is a lucrative revenue stream for them, they have gone overboard and are providing strong financial incentives to education / immigration consultants to bring more international students here. Consequently, many existing as well as new colleges are encashing on this trend and diploma mills have mushroomed in Canada lately. This is ABSOLUTELY Canada’s fault and the accountability of fixing this lies with Canada alone.\n\n2. International students who come here often end up taking humongous debt or selling off their homes/ancestral property to be able to afford their education and hence they feel cheated when the dream they were sold doesn’t match the reality. \n\nHaving said that, International students do need to understand that they are here or a temporary visa and DO NOT get to dictate terms to Canada. It is Canada’s sole prerogative to extend their work visa or not, depending upon Canadians requirements.\n\n3. The Trudeau Liberal government benefits by giving these students extended work permits and a pathway to citizenship as it translates into votes for them. However this is an atrocious approach to winning elections and puts unnecessary pressure on the system. \n\nCanada needs to streamline this whole student visa process and take stringent action against these fake diploma mills, education and immigration consultants luring foreign students.
