I was born in Montreal and lived there for 64 years. I'm fluently bilingual. I speak English and French. My mother was French and my father was English. I was educated in English. Because of my work, I had travelled extensively and often throughout all of Canada and had seen it all except for Nunavut and the NorthWest Territories. Having stated that, I couldn't wait to get out of Quebec. Starting in the early 70's, I couldn't stand living in Quebec but I tolerated it because I was doing well financially and it didn't make sense to relocate. The Quebec government introduced stupid and restrictive language laws back then. That drove a lot of business and English-speaking people out of the province. There was a real economic decline in that province that lasted many years but luckily hadn't affected my business. Most of the people that left Montreal moved to Toronto. Toronto benefitted from that exodus as they became the financial capital of Canada. I have resided in BC's Okanagan Valley for the last 7 years. It's the best move I've ever made. I have never regretted moving here. This is by far, the #1 province in Canada.

This is also one of the very important aspects of the delusional Eugenicist billionaires NWO plan, they exploit and create chaos and deplorable living conditions in so called third world countries, then these people leave and come to the west or so called developed countries, they are so happy that they have food and no more war or that they no longer have to live in a refugees camp, they also get the privilege of many government programs, opportunities and money, so they will never speak out against things that the government does even if they disagree.

The cost of living is so high that both parents need to work to live. It's hard to have kids when mom and dad are both working full time jobs, barely getting by and day care is also expensive. We need to incentivize kids to pursue trade jobs instead of dancing on tik tok. We also need to protect traditional Canadian identity. Immigration at that rate will rapidly change our demographics with people from cultures very different from Canada's. We will no longer have common holidays that all Canadians celebrate. Unity will be over. Will any mainstream politicians actually speak up about this?

Canada is a beautiful place it's a place with 10 cities within. So is it people or is it just africans. If anyone wants to move or visit montreal, you can very well make it without speaking french. The very vast majority of montreal speaks english as their second language. However, I still strongly recommend you learn at least a bit of french as the further you get from montreal, the less english speakers you will encounter (this can be as low as 30km away). Also, even if people do speak english as their second language, no one likes to get forced to adapt their speaking to someone who doesn't even try to make an effort to speak in the local language. So it is best if you learn at least the basics like: Hello -> Salut; Do you speak english? -> Parlez-vous anglais?; I don't speak french -> Je ne parle pas français;... And other basic sentences you would expect to say. More likely than not people will still switch to english if you know nothing in french, but usually people are more than happy if you try to speak their language and it makes for a more enjoyable experience all around.

I am from Ontario and i agree Quebec is my favourite province . I struggle with the french language despite my efforts to learn it but people in Quebec are mostly bilingual and are happy to speak English if you cant speak french

Back home as divorce was taboo, I would have remained married n suffer. He moved on and left me and my child of 5 years old on the street but thanks to Canada, no one judged me, no one talked about me. I did not ask or took any help cause I worked 2 jobs for few years to make ends meet. With time things got better, now my child has graduated and working.\nHe worked n paid for his studies.\nI have not been discriminated or faced racism despite I come from African continent and of colour but my son has as he was young but he learnt from it.\nCanada gave me my freedom, my peace, my happiness and I am no longer discrimated by my own religion, culture and people who thinks if you are lighter you are prettier.\nWomen were and are still considered secondary compared to men.\nHere we are equal.\nHere they love and respect me for who I am and not based on looks.\nBack home my c-section was f up and I am still paying the consequences. After an accident, I had to go through a leg surgery. Back home hospital lost my file and made me wait for years.\nHere I was handled with love and care when the hospital staff learnt that I have no family here. Hi ladies. These are exactly the same situation here in the UK. I have been living in London since 1986 and surviving over here especially for those just arriving can be so frustrating. I often wonder why so many of our people are still struggling to come and live in these countries. I know you speak about the USA being better however I have a numbers of family and friends living in America and they are complaining about how hard you have to work in order to make ends meet. The answer to that could be the fact that many immigrants especially from Africa don't feel safe in their own home countries and bad leaders who continually fail to provide any opportunities for their youths and citizens. Thanks for sharing this vital information as many people think these western countries are paradise until they arrive and face the bare realities.

My friend called me yesterday. He said there is something important I want to ask you, but I can't talk over the phone. Let's meet at a coffee shop. I said ok, then we met and he told me he had just met a guy who runs an English school. He asked him for 1200 CAD for the complete package, which includes English level 4 and the Canadian citizenship test. Note (my friends don't speak English), so my friend accepted and left a deposit and was told he has to attend an English school for only 15 days and he will receive a level 4 English efficiency. THAT'S UNFAIR. I HAVE SPENT HOURS LEARNING ENGLISH AND STUDYING FOR THE TEST!!!!! Anyone has an idea how to stop these people??????? Who should I contact???? I live in Ottawa.

You both are so right. After speaking with countless immigrants in my area over the 12 years in Halifax, I have met so many perfectly qualified people even from the UK with English who couldn't work in their field without more credentials. Many I know left and are leaving. Plus, we need more doctors yet they make it so hard for newcomers. The government should make this better or at least be more honest especially if they want people to stay. Very informative even for someone who is a Canadian and born here.

I hope you don't underestimate Europe's existing problems when i went to London 4 years ago i was shocked that it wasnt the place i imagined it to be no need to explain im sure you understand what i mean. Im an Asian immigrant, but i wasnt expecting that i couldnt even see a caucasian in London mostly arabs, blacks, indians, some asians i do not hate it but im just confused i worked in the middle east for 10 yrs and i was hearing arabic speaking everywhere, also asian language its like im in Vancouver or Surrey area. Most racist type of people are Punjabis. They have no regard to other people, they don’t speak English and expect people to speak in Punjabi. They have zero respect for local customs and any place they immigrate to they try to write and speak in Punjabi and don’t adapt. Honestly, I don’t know how to describe and definite my experience. I came to Canada for my university education by the end of 2013 after I finished my high school in my hometown. That was my first time to go abroad, and living in a totally strange country all alone. New surroundings. New friends. New culture. English speaking. Everything is new for me, and I cannot figure out how I feel at that time, because it’s so complex. Both excited and afraid. In the next few years, I traveled among several different cities. Winnipeg. Vancouver. Toronto. I met many people and experienced lots of things. Some were good and warm, and some were not, and the worst thing was I found I cannot get used to my life in Canada. I don’t mean bad, but I still feel I’m an outsider. I cannot get in. Neither my life nor my schoolwork. So much loneliness. I left Canada and go back to my hometown by the August of 2017. There was nothing strange for me at first 2 years. Everything looks normal, but by the flying of time, I found myself cannot stop missing the old days and experience in Canada. Even the worst part looks so beautiful. I have no idea how could that happened.

Nice video but I don’t quite agree on what you have said about Manitoba. I can’t speak for Winnipeg because I live in a small town of 10,000 population in Manitoba about 1 hour down south of Winnipeg, full of nature and amazing friendly people. Living quality is hard to beat, plenty of jobs and lower cost of living and unbeatable real estate. We have many hiking and bike trails here. Water sports are very popular in summer. Fishing on rivers and lakes in summers and in winters are just so fun. Falls are the best season in southern Manitoba when trees everywhere turns into different vibrant colours and looks extremely beautiful. Crime and safety issue - most small towns in Manitoba safety or security is not at all a concern. I have been living here for 5 years and never heard of any major crimes except for some bike thefts in summer. Winter is cold but most of the time it’s sunny and bright. Just come and visit Manitoba and you wouldn’t regret a bit!

You are so correct. I'm in the suburbs near Houston and it's terrible here. Neighbors look the other way when you see them and never speak. I grew up in Houston and it was never like this in the past. It's as if people have lost their minds. I'm 65 but my wife and I will soon start traveling to the motherland and possibly move there. The U.S. is very large, and there are many different types of people and many different types of neighborhoods, cities, and communities. I have lived where neighbors knew one another very well, and their kids would play ball in the street or play baseball at the local park or playground. I have lived where there are walking trails where you would see the same familar faces time and again. I have lived where there were many community activities. There are places where you can find farmer's markets and where churches are large and hold events. Our town has many groups that you can join, and there is a local theater. There are cities of course, where you can find all sorts of things to do. People do have a tendency in many places to have their spaces, and as most people do have what they need within those spaces...and many are spending more and more time on computers and watching televisions, we are becoming more estranged than we once were. We have come to value privacy. But, again, there are many many people with many different lifestyles. Today I went to shop at two different stores and ended up in conversations with several people. One man invited me to visit his farm. One woman told me all about her home and garden. Another lady told me about her daughter and what was going on with their family. I did not feel like a stranger, and the people I saw working in different businesses today were talkative and interacting with many other people, including friends and neighbors and other familiar faces. it just takes a little effort to smile and to speak. That being done, I was very happy to return to my home and have my own space again, where I knew I could take a nap without anyone knocking unexpectedly on my door. So....it depends on what you want. I would hesitate to paint the U.S. with a very broad brush. \nThat being said, it is very difficult to leave your home behind. It can be very difficult to stop seeing differences because you did love so many things about where you grew up, though you might not realize how much you will miss them until you've gone. I feel that in myself, and I have to be very careful not to miss the potential and possibilities where I am, because I am always thinking about how I miss where I once was.

Working day and night never home. Stupid. I know a lot of people like my uncle always at work never home working 7 days a week like slaves and not ever home just to sleep. Ridiculous. \n\nMy Dad retired and went back to Mexico by Otay and I'm visiting my parents a lot here in Mexico more freedom and very friendly people friendly neighbors. \n\nNot horrible lonely America. In America too much cell phones nobody talks only text. Life is good, you keep watching even the awful movies from your country, connect with the friends back home and read every news bit longing and comparing the life at home…that is the life we lived\n\nSuddenly, after my husband’s death, the light bulb finally turned on and moved to India to raise my son 6 years back. The impromptu play dates, relatives and friends dropping in, the casual conversations with the milkman, newspaper guy, the screaming noise when the kids are getting out of school, friends volunteering to take your kids for a weekend getaway… these little people connections are so important. \n\nWestern countries economically developed. But hungry for love and connection..

I am Canadian and most Canadians think Quebec is the arm pit of Canada. If you are not a Quebecer and don't speak French the people will not be polite to you.

It takes me 3 months to get a doctor appointment in the US here in Seattle and I was just told several months to see my eye doctor. Depending on medical plan the insurance means you do not go to the specialist without a referral. So Canadians may not have as much to complain about. My parents were immigrants to Canada because it was easier (my father was in Danish Merchant Marine and was in China Sea when his appointment would come up in New York). They did not have it easy because they did not speak the language and worked hard to learn. Working as a housekeeper was the norm for females and my mother's education meant nothing when she expected to work in a bank. Danes stuck together and helped each other to get jobs, with carpentry (most had apprenticeships like brick laying), to socialize, etc. and this is normal for immigrants. Working multiple jobs was normal and having a great home was their American dream instead of a government apartment. It is true for all immigrants that their kids will do better than the parents. The kids will have no accent if they learn English by age 12. There are age cutoffs on learning a language in child development. During the hiring process the jobs are given to people the interviewer perceives as being like themselves. This is proven by psychologists (I am one). This puts immigrants at a disadvantage unless they have a rare skill without competition. Dad got his house and Mom took my sister and went back to Denmark because of health issues and the US has garbage medical care and social services for the elderly (poor sister didn't speak Danish because it wasn't allowed in case it impacted our English skill). As a daughter of immigrants I worked 20 hours days and weekends almost all my life. I put myself through school and have been successful despite being female and making much less than men. Immigrants need to realize that it will be their kids who make the big bucks and succeed while the parents who immigrated will struggle. As a cultural mix (US, Canadian and Danish citizen because of wacky sexist rules) I have had a lot of confusion over the years trying to fit in and figure out what my values are. I have had to ask my US husband is that behavior normal? Of course different states in the US or going 200 miles north to Canada means a different language to speak (Canadian or Spanish in the South) and different values, ways of dress, etc. so being an immigrant can mean just traveling 200 miles north or to an insane state like Texas or New York. Culture shock is everywhere but most of us move for the money. I am thinking of going back to Canada but my home was Vancouver and that now looks like a hell hole. My husband had over a million dollars in medical care and I really do not wish to lose all my assets to medical costs in the US. So now I am trying to choose between death by earthquake in BC somewhere or death by tornado or perhaps fire storm in Calgary due to climate change.
