Why do they keep showing Justin Trudeau? These problems have been building for decades. I sold my house 5 years ago for over 100% what I paid for it, and lived in it for about 5 years. The current government had been in power for two years at the time. We’re never going to solve these problems as a nation if we just use them for partisan election engineering instead of recognizing the real causes.

The liberal government has no control of the immigration. They are not focusing on the people who are currently here. They need to stop bringing people..

The current government is just ugh! They are losing the next election for sure unless people still buy in to their fake narratives and false assurances.

I feel the most important issue for discussion can be boiled down to one question: Are pro-environmental regulation beneficial to the people? Personally, I believe the regulations have gone too far because the current mindset of protecting the environment from growth and development is now showing to come at a cost to the people.

I really hate to say, but I'm glad that I made it out of my country because of the economy crisis.\n\nI'm currently living in Mexico now for a new life. I'm happy about it, but I do really miss my old routines that I do back in Montreal...\n\nIdeally I do want to go back to work 9 to 5 job while looking for my professional career as a video editor and videography... I'd love to move to Canada. Currently resident of UK and citizen of US, and Canada is better than both.

Ultimately if you don't like the conditions where you live, we all have 2 feet that we can use to walk away and leave an expensive city (or country). There are far, far cheaper places to live in North America (see nearly any Latin American country and most South American countries). You vote with your feet: literally just leave and move to a cheaper cost of living area. It's baffling how expensive homes in Vancouver are, yet they cost 20% as much if you move to a rural place in Manitoba or Saskatchewan. \n\nYou actually don't have to continue pay high prices; only if you choose to not act and stay in your current expensive city.

Canada is a disaster. Trudeau and Sigh are a disaster. Crime is rampant. Home prices are astronomical at one and two million dollars. Florida has brand new nicer homes for 25% of the cost at $350k. Does Trudeau think that home builders are going to build and sell for 25% of current prices? Then all those Canadians that paid $1 and 2 million would all be bankrupt having a mortgage at $1 and 2 million. Immigrants couldn't care less about Canada, and want their neighbourhood to look just like the one they left in the other country. Growing up in Brampton most of my life and now being able to travel for work I say let them have it. Brampton is over priced and over crowded. High crime rate. No night life. Only a handful of choices for cuisine. Canada is an enormous country and the real shame is not being able to move to another city as easy as it should be when a good for nothing one gets invaded the way Brampton has. I’m currently out in Woodstock and all the new houses in the north of the city is ALL Indians. On any nice day you’d think the neighborhood park is little India with all the aunties and uncles at the benches. The damage is done, this country’s immigration system needs a complete overhaul.

If I could move south to the states I would! Me and my wife both in our mid 20s and born and raised here make a combined income of over $150k a year and can’t afford to buy a home. However our rental expenses are pushing $3000 a month for a small 2 bedroom house yet we can’t get a mortgage…. Not to mention the absurd cost for food, gas and other day to day things. Whatever is happening currently with all the immigration, cost of living and job market. \nIt can't be coincidence, that exact same thing is happening is evey modern western country at once.\nIronically also after covid put the west into a lull. Made everyone broke and many jobless and many lose their business. \nThen bang...this happens.

A lot of people in this country don’t realize how much of a gift it is to be born in Canada, as a son of two immigrants who left their country, their family, their beliefs only for me to have a better life here in Canada. It’s mind boggling for me how people born here haven’t taken advantage of the infinite amount of opportunities. I have not finished high school but have worked on bettering myself since the day I dropped out, this life is not for the weak minded it’s for the risk takers. If the homeless who lived here their entire life couldn’t make it happen for them and are not happy with their current situation I would strongly advice them to seek help for their mental health, change their bad habits, quit their addictions and if that doesn’t suffice maybe move to a third world country just to experience true homelessness, true hopelessness..

Well, Justin is a huge problem, but I see him as a symptom of a much bigger issue.\nCanada has institutional, systemic and cultural problems that all compounded over the last 30 years to get us where we are today, JT just put it in overdrive.\n\nWe have very little competition in a lot of business areas many supported by government. \nWe have a government that doesn't care about the economy and intentionally makes our economy less productive. \nWe have always had a weak immigration system that gives the current government too much power to control without provincial support. \nFinally we have cultural inferiority complex, stoping us from imitating Americans, the path to mastery starts with imitation.\n\nI can go on, but fixing just half of these issues will be enough to be better than EU.

So if Trudeau wants million people a year in all categories of immigrants it must be economics 101 for him and his Ministers to consult Provinces in their areas of services what are the impacts and what do they need /when/$'s funding to welcome new people to Canada in a proper manner ( not make victims of them) and not make victims of current Canadians either. Be careful. British fascists currently in government count foreign students as migrants in annual stats, even though over 90% leave after they finish their studies. \nMigrant workers are the low skilled,low paid workforce who do the jobs that your citizens won’t do unless paid and employed fairly. Deport them and their families go too. \nHow’s your birth rate? Most Western capitalist countries are flatlining because they are all using migrant workers as excuses for their own failures in government and migrant workers tend to have children, who grow up and add wealth to the economy.

All immigrants including refugees from all countries need to be stopped. Focus on citizens and PR currently. Start a program to send back temp immigrants and refugees to their respective nations. Then focus on housing - remove red tape to enable more housing for 1st time buyers. These are somethings they need to start asap.

He will never do that until all current Canadians are impoverished.

He's cut back foreign students and foreign temp workers. But will new housing come to fruition in time to house the current year's newcomers? If any housing delays or shortages, bringing in to Canada another new group of 500K immigrants plus students/temp workers will further strain the temporary housing, infrastructure. The problem will accumulate. So if we thought it was bad after year #1, it could get worse. The two (available finished housing, newcomers) must be in balance. Housing costs will NOT stabilize UNTIL the necessary new supply comes into being.

When the immigrants are now asking to go back home, you know the economy is bad. Many of them are blaming Trudeau for their current suffering now. They are feeling like the Israelites begin brought into Egypt as slaves. They are looking for a deliverer. His name is Poilievre!

Trudeau and his then-minister Sean Fraser caused our immigration problem, which in turn caused our current housing crisis, which Sean Fraser has now as a portfolio since Trudeau appointed him last summer. Trudeau is the problem, period!

Canada is only a 1 or two years ahead of Australia in terms of decline of living standards due to mass migration. Indian migration has destroyed that country. Trudeau here is flat out lying that he cares about the problems immigration that he allowed has caused. He is one of the main proponents of the Century Initiative, Canadas version of the big Australia policy which hopes to see 100 million people in Canada by 2100. At their current rate of migration they will hit that number by the 2040's. Canada is basically doomed and Trudeau is 100% responsible. His legacy will be one of the destruction of Cananda.
