So Trudeau basically said that Canada hasn't been managed well, at all. And he's the Prime Minister and has been for years. Maybe he should try a little humility for a change and admit that he's a total loser.

Canadian I would say are the worst stereotypes I have encountered so far after being in Europe, USA, China, Middle East etc. once I tried to be Canadian resident and experienced a heart trenching straight behaviour from immigration, lawyers and officials. They don’t seem to possess a simple wisdom or foresight a progressive nation must have. They are stuck in a tunnel vision of being nicer or western or straightforward people without thinking out of the box incapable of accepting a little change or flexibility. Being a technical person I obviously got panicked to be a part of that system with hopeless outlook, so decided not to be part of it when millions were dreaming of Canada. Thanks God to guide me and escape from a torturous life of working mechanically for decades just to fulfill a foggy dream of owning a house and a car in a cold hell.

I remember visiting Canada and trying to get a cell phone data plan, it was imposible as a tourist without any Canadian documents. I ended up paying like $70 usd for 4GB of data with Roger which was insane. Now I just cross US/Canada border and bring my Starlink with me. The things I love about Canada is the dog friendly National Parks and the landscapes. Prices have gotten out of hand ?

Canada did exactly what China tried to do minus the industrialization. They tried to constantly prop up their housing market because Canada is such a uncompetitive economy because of all the trash and inneficient regulations. Lots of truth in this video. I lived in Canada for 28 years now. I was just in Germany for a 3 month long vacation and what a difference compared to Canada. So much cheaper and better food in Germany and rents are actually affordable with cheap public transport. Weather is also a lot milder and more comfortable in winter and summer. I think Canadians don't fully realize how incredibly inflated the prices for the necessities are here. I now realize that I live in a country that is shamelessly trying to suck their people dry. Canadians are just too subdued and are just letting it happen. Every day you wait will make it that much harder to turn this around.

I understand this is an economics channel, but saying that NO ONE wants to live in Canada because of 3 issues with the economy that most developed countries in the world are dealing w/ is kinda stupid (It's almost like most of the world is in a recession.?) I'm irish-finnish and my ancestors came here from a combination of 1900-1948 and they were very hard-working people and made an effort to put everything into trying to fit into the older canadian society, so I respect them. Sometimes they weren't treated well and were disrespected but they tried so hard to make an impact in our country, even if it might've costed them their lives. I respect anyone who comes to Canada and tries their best to be a hard worker and integrate. However I don't respect anybody who comes here and doesn't try to fit in and leech off being a student. My husbands sister is moving with her family to Canada this year. They wanted to before covid and we tried to talk them out of it. Now they have decided to do it. Applied and got visa very quick. I'm Canadian; lived abroad for several years (in Europe). I returned here a few years ago and one of the things I love about Canada, which I really noticed was contrasting to Europe, is that we are not afraid to be self-critical (even extremely so), to re-visit the injustices in our past, acknowledge them, and work to try to rectify them. Also, there is a strong sense of community: most Canadians want to help improve their communities and help our fellow citizens. There are indeed some serious problems, as there are in all other countries, and we hope to overcome them and improve our society by working together. For me, one of the beautiful things about a country, what makes its society really interesting and even attractive, is our ability to constantly recognizing our mistakes and faults and try to improve upon them.

The crazy thing is that some Canadians still have faith in Trudeau's party or just have too much trust in the government that they can turn this around. ( This is how they want to be the good guys when the conservatives need to cut costs to help resolve this mess)\n\nThe liberals are kind of like that guy in the family that takes a loan, pockets some money for corruption, then gives money away to charities saying I'm the good guy, and then doesn't know how to pay the loan back so asks for their family to help fund the debt.

May be it is not well illustrated in the video but it is hard to understand what the problem is. It appears that the fear of change is an issue. But change is inevitable. Canada is a multicultural society and that is protected by the constitution. I've wanted to move to Canada since my childhood. The first time I tried was when I was 22 years old; I received a scholarship for Humber College. Unfortunately, my dream was postponed because I broke my leg. I attempted again at 25 years old, but I didn't have enough money for a comfortable immigration process. So, I decided to accumulate more funds and try again.\n\nNow, at 30 years old, I find myself in a different situation. I've just bought a big house, and I'm living a simple, calm life in Eastern Europe. Here, I have everything I need: a safe environment, the freedom to travel wherever I want, and minimal taxes in my industry. Healthcare is excellent, with no waiting times, and the food is amazing.\n\nDespite these comforts, I still have the opportunity to move to Canada. But I find myself questioning why I was so obsessed with it since childhood. I realize that I earn more in my home country than the average Canadian, even after taxes and rent. Perhaps Canada nowadays is more appealing to individuals from India, the Middle East, and Africa. If I were from these regions, I might still consider moving there. In 2004 I wrote a somewhat famous article called 'Top 8 reasons not to immigrate to Canada'. In short, the Canadian authorities tried to destroy my life. They made it so that I could not be employable in Canada. So I moved to the U.S. in 2005 and then some years later I moved permanently to the Philippines. I am happy that so many years later videos like yours are saying essentially the same things that I did. I was ahead of my time. I will never go back to Canada. Not to live, not to visit, not even a connecting flight. Too cold, too expensive, taxes are astronomical, no culture, no freedom, no jobs, no opportunities, only modern slavery, worst healthcare system, unbearable political correctness, crime infested/drug infested, xenophobic people, too depressing. No the rent situation was not always high in Canada . Look at the rents in the mid to early 70’s in Toronto : 100-150 for a 1 bedroom. Try renting a one bedroom in Toronto for less than 2500 now not easy.\nIn 2001 I payed 425 for a bachelor apartment right now it’s around 1800-2000 a month . Did the salaries go up 5 times not even close .
