I'm in LatAm and I can say that the difference in quality of life compared to Canada is getting smaller and smaller very fast. Not because it's getting better here. It's Canada getting worse. I'm feeling the same. This country is running by bad managers who cannot be fired no matter how horrible their performance is. My friend from China visited me in Toronto about two months ago and he said he had zero interest in immigrating to Canada now because the streets look so trashy which I can totally relate. I came back from Japan last year and it was a bit culture shock to see how dirty the streets are in Toronto compared to Tokyo (not even the cleanest in Japan). I have to constantly remind myself I'm lucky to have a comfortable bed and a not too bad salary but my monthly savings after all the expenses are actually decreasing from year to year even I get a pay raise every year (I track all my spendings and income every month). Now it's time to consider other options before it's too late.

I am immigrant Canadian and so thankful for having this opportunity,BUT this does not look like Canada anymore,there are PLACES they look like third world. Diversity and all that nonsense does not serve Canada \nWe should NOT establish each our own country within Canada

I find it hard to believe that these migrants are having an easier time getting into Canada than the US. I've been to Canada 6 times as an American tourist and except for my recent trip up there to see the eclipse, the officers always asked at least 4 questions about my trip and plans like where I'm staying and one time how much money I had. One time when I went they did that 'secondary inspection' where they look through my luggage and enquire about items (in my case several electronics which most people travel with). These people who are going to Canada probably have enough money for a typical weeklong trip and probably have hotel reservations, etc. Other things immigration officers ask often is what kind of work you do and when you are due to report back to work, as well as who you live with. They want to be sure you have ties back home.

Hey! I live in Edmonton Alberta Canada,population around 1.2 million. We have a huge awesome river and river valley that is utilized year round. There are non stop festivals, right now we have the Cari West the largest Caribbean festival in western Canada. Our tap water is amazing, my daughter rents the main floor of a renovated house that includes a garage for 1,400 a month. Gorgeous south side neighbourhood within walking distance to anything. Lots of imperfections as it is a big city and yes there is crime but it does not define what I do and where I go except possibly late at night. The cold in the winter is tolerable for the most part but that doesn’t stop any one from outdoor activities. Just put your warm clothes on and just get out there. I get fed up with winter when it drags on but all of a sudden we’ve been having record breaking heat this summer so I am looking forward to Autumn. We’re 4 hours from the fabulous Rocky Mountains and the wonderful city of Calgary is about an hour 1/2 from there. Alberta is my province and Edmonton is my home. The rest of Canada varies from one province to another. PS. We’ve travelled to various locations in the U.S. and were always treated well and enjoyed our visits, just sayin!

This should not be legal. That's messed up. They're taking those jobs from people that actually need those jobs. It's not easy for people in South Asian middle class families to get these jobs as their English is not fluent so these jobs go to privileged and educated families. They're getting the airline blacklisted by doing this, reducing jobs for the poor in their home country. This is selfish. As someone from a 3rd world country, this is dangerous. I've heard so many cases of people ending up as slaves because some idiot conned them into doing this. Canada also needs to look into corrupted politicians getting PR cause they bought land there through money laundering schemes in the home country. And these issues have existed even before Trudeau came into power. Stop blaming just 1 person, blame the entire system.

I know, what I am about to say isn't easy to swallow. Because I also understand how prevailing sentiments of fear are, when it's easier to blame another group for our shortcomings. Problem is we don't get to choose who comes into Canada, but we are perfectly accountable for whom we vote. Who we vote responsible in the end for policies that make or break a Country. I was doing some historical research on the Ark of the Covenant....revealed some evidence that the 'Sephardic Jewish' folks have been hiding for thousands of years....and part of this involves the location of the Ark of the Covenant and the REAL exodus lands of the Ashkenazi Jews. Because they shared European blood with the folks there. They took their cousins in. But only THEIR cousins. \n \nAfter the Sephardic Jews were pushed by Persians into Spain they were kicked out into Morroco / Africa when the Europeans took back this region. They had religious and cultural differences and these folks were not of European blood. \n \nThe Sephardic Jews turned around and moved slaves into the Americas and impersonated French and Spanish settlers creating slave plantations. They blamed Europeans for this. This is probably because they hated both Europeans AND Africans for displacing them. \n \nPlease note they DO NOT have European blood. They are 50-60% Middle Eastern. 10-25% African and 10-25% Asian blooded. Absolutely NO Norse or Celt blood in them. They can pass close enough apparently for Latin folks or Basques. \n \nAfter the Brits took the Americas they gaslit their Ashkenazi cousins (who DO have European blood) into taking territory in Turkey and Syria and pushed them into Europe creating the conflicts that created WW1 and WW2. \n \nThese folks are extremely anti-European. We see them impersonating Spanish in South America. They are impersonating French Canadians in Canada trying to push for separatism from Europeans. They are in Russia causing racial conflicts in Russia possibly as Ingush and Dagestan peoples. It is very likely these are the folks that are attacking us all for racial hatred. Its clear they don't like Africa. Its clear they don't like Europe. Canada has to start recognising degrees from other countries. Here in B.C. we have emergency rooms closing overnight due to lack of staffing. We need doctors and nurses yet the barriers for those immigrating to get their degrees recognised mean many never qualify.\n\nCanada also needs to look at who we are admitting in and to terminate the family unification policy. When immigration was helping the country grow there was a different demographic coming in. Often it was single men or young married couples. As they came by themselves they assimilated into the mosiac of the country. When you concentrate on immigrants from one country instead of assimilating they setup ethnic communities. \n\nLook into what study groups have said that is contributing to gang violence. It's ethnic groups that have the grandparents, parents and grand kids all living in one home. The grandparents want the grand kids to adhere to their native culture. Unfortunately by time you get to the grand kids they are Canadian. They speak English/French depending where they live with little interest in speaking their ethnic language. There is cultural conflict within the home hence street life is where they find love and caring.\n\nSome cultures are not as community minded. Part of the high cost of renting/housing is based on greed not need. In my own community I know of apartment units now renting at 2,500 - 4,000/month owned by the same people that even five years back you could have rented for 500 - 800. There is no justification for that percentage of increase other than greed.\n\nJob opportunities. Summer employment for school kids is going down yearly. You see local business that use to hire students over the summer month claiming they can't find any workers. They bring in TFW yet Canadian students can't find work. You can tell the owners nationality of a business by the nationality of the workforce. A local store bought by a east Indian two years ago which at the time had a diverse workforce is now entirely staffed by east Indians. Yet who screams racist? \n\nCanada definitely needs to reconsider its immigration policy and bring in major changes.

Canada doesn't need anymore people from india or alike. If Canada was allowing people in from countries with similar values and beliefs then it wouldn't be an issue. It's going to take a violent revolution to solve this problem. I'm not taking a side, but British Columbia needs 52,000 construction workers to meet the high demand for housing. The government plans to bring in 52% of these workers from outside Canada. For those questioning the need for more immigrants, look at the numbers: Canada would struggle without immigrants to support its economy. We just need better visa regulations to ensure only skilled workers are allowed in.

It’s crazy how most people think that Canada is importing an army of workers !!\nOnly a small percent of the million that come in every year have work visas (in the UK it is 15% and Canada is similar). The large majority are students from developing countries who are looking to immigrate to the first world but don’t have a job, education or any skills. Then it is family reunification and refugees. The final scene at the new Canadians rally is nice to see. But what you’re not seeing are the THOUSANDS of people who aren’t success stories. People who bring nothing to the party but still need a place to live. I’m fine with immigration, I think Canada is a better place for being diverse. But you can’t just keep the tap on when the glass is already full. We need to turn off the immigration spigot for a while, catch up to get our services and housing to a level that is workable, then look at turning it back on with a smarter outlook on the numbers to bring in.

I'm a Canadian citizen. And I think it's the time when Canadian & US governments must think to build a border wall on the Northern border. The strain on the public health care system is outrageous and the tables have turned. Canada is sliding into a third world country. Go to the E R department anywhere in your city and look around and see for yourself. Not many English or French speaking people crowded in the waiting rooms waiting double digit hours to seek medical aid. Very grim situation and that is the reality here folks.

Zero-net population growth or very slow growth is desirable for a host of reasons. Immigration is not inherently a virtue. Not inherently a vice either. Its value depends entirely upon the context in which it is taking place. Immigrants to Canada want to live like Canadians, as Canadians. The problem here is not that they will not assimilate to Canadian ways, but that they will. \n\n(2) Housing: with 500,000 new immigrants a year, housing starts cannot keep pace. The result: ever-inflating housing costs. Rich immigrants compound the problem. \n\n(3) Suburbanization: most of the new housing in Canada is in highway suburbs (over 80%), with their car-driven way of life. Once again, this is bad for the country’s ecological health. In addition, the result will be ever-growing geographies of nowhere. We will not be creating more Victorias or Quebec Cities. We will be creating more Surreys. \n\n(4) Downward pressure on the incomes of most people: the law of supply and demand is very simple: when there is a surplus of any commodity, that commodity becomes cheaper. When a commodity is scarce, its value rises. Labor is a commodity. Workers rightly do not want there to be a surplus of labor. Their livelihoods are threatened. \n\n(5) Future care of the old: the more people we add now, the more people we will have to take care of later, when their working lives are done. Adding immigrants now to pay for the care of the old is therefore a pyramid scheme. Eventually, in a generation or two, the population of the world is set to decline, and the well of immigrants will run dry. Canada should aim for fewer, rather than more, retirees – as preparation for that coming moment.

The thing is most of the people I know looking to leave or are bothered the most by the massive amount of immigrants or “students” are 1st generation Canadians with Indian or Asian parents. I really don’t think this is even a racial issue, it’s the fact Canada has these bogus colleges that accept basically unlimited amounts of foreign students, it’s pretty obvious they’re not here solely to study but to stay.
