Housing costs are so savage right now and that's just one issue with them. I mean it when I say Most Canadians couldn't afford to have a house given to them... I make more than double the average income, and I'm just about ready to live in a camper. I actually see that being the future here, people will soon live on campsites. Financially it is the smartest move right now, it's just harsh due to the winters.

As a 3rd generation Canadian it is so hard to have confidence in my nations future. The politicians don’t care, and the country is rotting from the inside out. As someone about to graduate college soon, I've now become uncertain about my future and I have every right to point the finger at Trudeau. He's killed quality of life, financial freedom, safety, economy, job opportunities. Everything is fucked. Everything.

What is happening with migration from India, also happened with China from 2000s to 2015 ish. And a lot more in the numbers. The PR issue in NF was because of the province retroactively changing the PR law, which is a dick move. Overall immigration is kinda incontrollable from what I can observe. Most Canadians are not willing to do low paying min wage jobs. The labor market shortage will encourage this in the future. The real issues is with wages and tax, Canadians born here live more comfortably than the immigrants, it is not possible for many to sustain their lifestyle while working low paying min-wage jobs. Labor market shortage will be resolved when wages increase. If wages are good enough then more people will be willing to enter the labor market.

I'm wondering when we're going to make our ancestors proud and actually show some courage and stand for our country and children's future. We are watching the slow erosion of America and Europe.

I moved home to Canada after 20 years living and working in 5 countries. I am so grateful to be home. I am sorry some people leave but I can truthfully say that it is better here. Immigration to Canada should be from Europe, who shares the same culture and values, not the bulk from Asia or Middle East, who have absolutely nothing in common with Canada. I'm sick of this. Nobody wants to get a job which has elite future prospects. Earlier, people used to move only when they proved something on paper, with full credibility. Colleges introduced fake or low quality courses with no future and immigration office kept on accepting the visas. \nIf only they were vigilant enough to see what the courses were about. I was told that in many courses, students are just studying online and working for full time. Part was legal work and part was on cash. \nY was CRA not active about the cash activities going on around canada ? \nAnd now govr has again introduced this permanent visa on arrival for caregivers. Does govt think people are going to continue working in the caregiver field after getting there PR. Is govr going to keep a check on where the salaries are coming from in bank accounts of those who were given PR on arrival as caregivers ?\nThere are a lot of questions. Policies shouldnt be made on the basis of just trying to solve the recent problems, but rather with long sightedness to keep future similar problems at bay.

Essentially, they are finding ways to exploit their entry into the country, unlike my parents who had to wait patiently for years to come to Canada. I belong to an ethnic group. In the 1960s, when my parents immigrated to Canada, only a limited number of people from our ethnic group were allowed in. My parents were compelled to assimilate into Canadian culture to make friends. I had hoped to marry someone from my own ethnic group, but there were few eligible women. Therefore, both my brothers and I married Anglo-Saxon women. While I take pride in my parents' background, I do not live in a segregated community of my own kind. Instead, I reside in a mixed area and have no intention of bringing over 100,000 people from my village back home to Canada. Canada needs to restrict immigration until we get a handle on our housing and social services levels. Also, not all new immigrants should be allowed to move to Toronto or Vancouver. They should be sent to live in provinces such as Saskatchewan or Manitoba for the first 10 years. I am sure they need skilled workers. Also, would be forced to assimilate like my family did back in the 1960s because there would not be a massive enclave from their own culture in one area. Also, the reason my parents moved to Canada was their former country was Balkanized into different ethnic groups that exploded into a massive civil war. Canada might be in danger of that in the future. Certain ethnic groups don't tolerate certain policies that have happened in Canada. When they get to a large enough number all hell will break lose as they will have to culture and political power to fight back.

It's a myth that Canada needs massive immigration, especially when Canada doesn't have enough affordable housing for everyone. The average Canadians aren't benefiting from immigration, only the corporations, fake colleges and immigration consultants are. My partner have been in Canada since 2021 and he came there on study visa. While applying for the permit, every student promise to IRCC that they will leave Canada once they finish the study though everyone who comes on study visa aims to be permanent residents later. However both me and my partner think and accept that *PR is not a right that we could fight or protest for.* The Candian govt does not owe a PR promise to any international students. If we are lucky enough to get the PR, well, we are blessed and it's a favour offered by the Govt. of Canada. Anybody applying for any forms of temporary residence in the country are obliged to accept the rules and regulations and policies associated with their stay. If we will not get PR in the future, we will leave the country with All due respect to every opportunities and fortunes that this country has given us. No offense. Also when you move and settle in another country respect their culture and don't ever try to showcase the culture and practices of your home country if it will not be welcomed by the native people.

Canada's gdp depends on immigration which is so unfortunate but true. It also depends on dirty foreign money influx into Canadian real estate and businesses. We have extremely corrupt politicians and lawmakers who also allow many scams openly happening in the country that is openly talked about on the streets for the last 15 years I.e. LMIA scam, Visitor Visa Scam, Students visa is scam, of course the real estate scam. All happening under the protection of law. The lawyers are becoming rich in facilitating these scams.
