I have learned one thing over the past 5 years avoid Toronto like a plague stay in the cold miserable prairies but at least a home does not cost 1.8 million

People from all over Canada are moving to Alberta , Calgary in particular. The cost of living is less than Ontario, Quebec and BC. The proximity to the mountains is great. Calgary is a beautiful city with great neighborhood’s and parks. The technology sector is attracting a large number of companys to Calgary because of the reasons above but also because the work force is one of the youngest and most educated,mainly because of the training for the oil and gas sector. Being just over an hour from one of the most beautiful national parks in the world doesn’t hurt. Banff National park. Also with access to many summer vacation spots in south and central BC. All these things make Calgary a great place to live. Alberta also has many other cities and towns worth checking out. With a competent and caring provincial leader in Danielle Smith, Alberta’s future is looking bright.

One of the good thing about Canada they subsidized a family with children. 700 dollars per child.

There is no such thing as a Canadian resume format ? And the Canadian work experience hesitancy also comes from experience. Lots of very creative shcools and resumes and very creative interviews. One positve is about Canada is we don't suffer liars. You want someone who came from a fly by night school working for you, or operating as your doctor?

Did these people not do any research? Did they just jump a plane and immigrate to another county without knowing what it's like? If I decided to immigrate to India, you can be sure I would have investigated everything and made a visit or two to check things out first, lined up a job and then make my decision. In Canada you can make $300,000 in a couple of months. It depends what you’re into what you can do if it’s legal or not legal but legally you can make $300,000 $400,000 up to 1 million a year if you know what you’re doing and you have the opportunity to do it as a bottom of the food chain your rent is $1000 for one bedroom that you will be sharing with with complete strangers you have winter that it’s six months long it’s like you’re living in North India in the Himalayas mountains and then you have Ray schism all different type of race schism from all over Europe that came to this North American country. They don’t want you to take their job. and take their sister or their wives or anything like that. These people in this country cannot reproduce they’re not reproducing or doing anything they’re into the pronouns they’re not into normal normality otherwise than that the summers are great. They are some decent white people here we have lotta Caribbean people lotta Russians here it’s up to you to come and endure this country. It’s brutal winters there’s a chinook and the Chinook gives you headaches throughout the winter. It’s something different that if you’re from a tropical country. There are no fresh fruits in the winter time, here and fresh. Anything everything is a couple weeks old. The women over here are horrible. The longer you stay in this country, the lighter, your skin complexion becomes. If you were dark skin, you became light skin if you came here light skin you now you became white skin The food at the grocery stores are all GMO’s all these fat fast food joints G emoji they have chemicals in them that cause birth defects every single thing illegal in the real world. This place is a commercialize worksite.

This is missing SOOOO much of the actual story of what is going on over here. There is a lot of corruption in our housing market fueled by faked incomes just for starters. That's not including the massive supply and demand crunch we are facing on multiple fronts from having too much people suddenly, to having not enough housing suddenly. But there are some people from all sorts who are all doing their own dirty little deeds, and they are culminating into the gigantic pile of BS that the rest of us now get to deal with. \n\nAnd make no mistake, what I am saying is not even close to the full extent of the BS going on. This is just one facet of it. There still is the universities mentioned that we need to talk about, whom have been fleecing internationals for years now. Or our employers who have gotten real used to having access to basically almost slave labor by comparison the wages and employees they would have to normally deal with. \n\nAnd again, none of this is being said to blame those who come here looking for a better life. If anything, I want to apologize for the BS you found here as well, that was well hidden by the BS masters who got you to come here. \n\nBut just like how oxygen feeds a fire without necessarily meaning to... well... let's just say that a downturn in applications is a really good thing for us right now. \n\nCome if you want, but don't come unprepared. In this modern era of aging populations, it is mathematically impossible for socialism to continue. Every one before getting passport every thing ok but after getting Canadian passport they have so many reasons to leave canada this is human nature

Well. There are thousands of permanent residents from Canada who got stranded around the world in the pandemic. The travel restrictions Canada put in place for permanent residents are far out of line. I was at the airport the last week before airports got closed. I had even my return ticket printed out, checked online in. At the airport, I was told, with some other PR’s that as a PR we were not allowed to board the plane! Seriously? What country does this? For myself, I couldn’t return to Canada for 1.5 years! Panic in the first couple of weeks. Calling the Canadian embassy every week. Even asking if Canada had a way to extend the Permanent residency visa at the embassy available. No. If you are longer than 2 years away from Canada, you CANNOT RENEW YOUR PERMANENT RESIDENCY CARD! Well. Lucky me, I didn’t had to work. After 14 years of working and living in Canada, I just had enough from a country that is telling none Canadians that we are people of 2nd class. And no. I am not from India. I’m from Germany and we cannot have a 2nd passport like other countries. I just got rid of everything in Canada. I stayed in Panama. Renewed last year my German passport. Got a “lifetime” residency visa in Panama. Don’t have to be worried about heating costs anymore. It is warm year around. Maybe it was a good thing that Canada gave me the “2nd class human” feeling. That’s when you figure out in times of emergency what countries do for immigrants. Canada was one of a handful countries in the pandemic who blocked permanent residence card owners from returning!

This harms critical thinkers and innovators who often leave to the US or China, but also immigrants who have even larger barriers to working within the status quo. \n\nEven among better bosses I have had, I notice this tendency towards intense discomfort with ideas that come from outside of their direct experience. Though at least with my current boss and one other I had in the past, there is an intellectual curiosity and empathy which helps them gradually open up to unfamiliar things (and they're just awesome people in general). But I still notice this bias sometimes. It's definitely cultural.

I agree with all the points, as a Muslim that have been raised in Europe and living currently in Canada, I always thought that Islam was stronger here than in Europe, one of the reasons why I decided to move here, until I came to see with my own eyes scary things, mostly the indoctrination part ? omg. There is nothing better than a Muslim country, my husband and I too are moving from Canada in June inshalah ? As Canadian born raised here we've tremdious growth over the decades specially inside areas outside the GTA. One the biggest issues facing everyone here besides immigrants is taxes / inflation. Our government only looks at those coming from India as cash cow to keep things rolling economically more people more taxes are paid. Canada needs to start being more economic minded by reducing all taxes abroad to make cost of living more affordable.

Lived in same Canadian province my whole life, here’s a solution to immigrants complaining go home to your country. Canada has been ruined by immigration but to be more specific Indians, they are everywhere, in PEI every single service industry job has been taken over by them and so a stigma is created working in fast food, gas stations, ect. No other race works there but Indians, it’s easy to spot an Indian on the road too, if not a massive dumb Punjabi sticker on their door just look at the license plate, you will see their surname every time. It’s a joke. It’s worse when you go to the gym and are surrounded by 80% Indians as some smell Soooo bad. So please, just go home. Trust me nobody wanted you to come, it was a political thing and you are the one race that filed in like rats. You over stayed your welcome, you had your entire youth of a generation flood our community and leave their community behind, they don’t come to be Canadian,they come to be Indian and hang with other Indians and do Indian shit, eat Indian food, wave Indian flags, it’s honestly such an embarrassment for Canada but also an embarrassment for India, must be a pretty shit country when a generation flees to live abroad and then they have the nerve to complain about that country that let them in. ?

When there is more immigration than needed some will leave. Reverse immigration happens in every country. Do I care people leaving? No. We are getting lots of people to do jobs nobody here want to do. 500,000 X 0.825 = 412,500( left) every year(new immigrants). That is one percent of the population as it should be. \nOnly thing that is a problem is the rising rental costs in university towns because of these excess international students. That is making rentals unaffordable for local Canadian students and taking away mac & Tim Horton jobs. Cheers.

I started to watch how Canada is falling videos since 2020. At that time still indians are planning to move to Canada. And today this is the mainstream youtube news. \nBut one thing for sure is, once the dust is settling down, indians will move in large number in Canada once again.

I was just forced by my husband to come here in 2010. I never plan to live abroad but I went for the sake of the kids and dont want regret. My husband is mentally ill even before we got married(family took advantage of me when they saw I was an independent widow that time). Upon arriving here, nothing was prepared,no beds no nothing just the social housing and he was already orienting me to get food from food bank and simply convinced me to follow here for the child benefits,free education and healthcare. Let me just mention, the family of my husband is claiming they were rich and prominent in the Philippines. Fast forward....14 years after, he didnt get a house for us....I just ran after him for child support....he didnt finish the divorce process that I ask him to do upon arrival....now, that its time for him to pay tution fee for college, he is mad! He is so desperate that he brainwashed one of his sons to blame me and make me feel like the whole thing is my fault! My son almost killed me last time bec his dad getting sympathy and ranting that he has no money. This is the biggest regret of my life......I believe if my sons are educated and grew up in the Philippines, they are more happy and was able to tap all their talents and intelligence. I am done here! And for people telling me that the money we earn here we dont get in the Philippines....sorry, my peace of mind and dignity has no price tag. I am not materialistic too. Respect to humanity is all we need!

I think Canada is still one of the best countries in the world. Some of the countries that have high rankings of happiness have free university, humane incarceration, much better health care,m and everyone has a family doctor, and many amenities to make life more productive and healthy. I’m fine paying more taxes for those societal benefits but many aren’t. Society is what we make it to be honest. Staying put and digging in and contributing to good in your community is a great way to improve city life. I think you are far too concerned with what things cost to do that unfortunately. Thailand is cheap as hell but I could never tolerate the low wages paid to vulnerable, hard workers, and the profound poverty, not to mention sex tourism. Trashing cities and departing isn’t helpful. The time has come to hold accountable a crazy prosecutor who is running around trying to catch former President Donald, a DA who enjoys invading the border, and Biden who is turning the country into a chaotic hell. A civil war-like tragedy is occurring every day in the United States due to these three incompetent people who stand above the law. I dont see Toronto as a warm city. People are entitled to their view weither the liberals like it or not. One of the many faults of the liberal perspective is its facist tendency toward enforcing its own bias on everyone and thing.

Lucky you , you have the means to get out & adventure. Canada isn’t that bad compare to other poor countries. However, everything you said are very true. Rules Rules & Rules , tax after tax after tax that’s why health care isn’t really free. And you forgot one important thing, tho you’re successful during your prime age career wise, when you’re 65 & retired, ( without Private Pension ) government pension isn’t enough even to rent a decent bachelor apartment of your own. I for one do not agree at all with the indoctrination going on in schools pushing this LGBTQ agenda on kids I think its absurd! But to have someone convert to a different religion or they can not marry you is in my opinion another form of indoctrination and its definitely not tolerant of others beliefs. The thing about Canada is we truly dont mind others practicing what they believe, but ofcourse when it comes to kids and the LGTBQ thing I strongly disagree about this being in schools. But other then that we support different religions and cultures. I homeschool so there are ways around these kinds of things here in Canada and I do think the cost of living will go back down eventually and those that left will regret it.

That's 210,000 kcal per day to give one american their daily calories. Globally we use 141 quadrillion kcal each year, on average of 47,000 kcal per person per day. This is 16x more energy needed than our metabolic engines require. There are 7.7 billion people on earth, but we are burning energy like there are 120 billion of us. He says it is completely unsustainable. I've added this because it seems food prices have not hindered people from buying, nor going out to restaurants, nor ordering take out and having it delivered. Why are food prices going up? Because they can. As for housing, single tenanted homes are probably a thing of the past and most of us may have to consider renting together or buying together as much as other parts of the world have been doing for generations.

You did it so early!! U could have stayed a bit and should have done more!! U r one of the lucky who got their PR, alot of people are trying so hard to go. Only one concern i have to go there bcoz as a muslim, we get worried about how the kids will be raised bcoz everything is so open! People in ER have been dying in Canada after waiting for 10-12 hours. Canada does not publish these horrible things in india or in any other country to maintain her image . Free healthcare means no health . Aldo, not everytjing is free in healthcare . You need to pay for dental , eyes, mediines , physio , other medical eqipment etc . Canada has been lying too much . Only when you live in Canada for one year , you know and then you regret . Canada is doing henious crime by misinforming people in other countries . Many people who could not go back to India or whereever they belonged to committed suicides . Shame on Canada !

Any kind of religion is allowed in Canada but immigrants need to know, understand and respect that Canada is a Christian country. I think if one is seeking that much of a comfortable life, and is not willing to struggle at all, then yes please stay at home.\nI think 2.5 months is way too less time to form an opinion about any country.\nThese things are pretty common which one would expect when you move to a new country.\n1 Google search would have set the expectations. I think the mindset was not ideal for moving to western countries.

We’ve been here since more than a year now and we don’t have a car and we love the pollution free air here and the work life balance. If you live downtown, you don’t need a car as public transport is very convenient. If you don’t want to do things on your own and you definitely need the help from maids and so on, then Canada isn’t for you. It all depends on where you find a house. Very few people in downtown own cars. If you want to live a healthier life, Canada is a good place for that. We came in winters and settled with the help of relatives and thankfully it’s been good so far. Summers are amazing here. Job market is a struggle currently but it’s not permanent. And it is possible to find a job from India if you try for it. If you’re in IT, you don’t need to start from scratch. There are Indian stores almost everywhere and many Indian restaurants as well. You just need to find your place. And it’s an amazing place for plant based vegan people. Food quality is amazing and great safety restrictions. Healthcare also depends on where you live. If you find your people and friends and keep socializing with family, loneliness won’t be there. It’s better to move to a new country when you don’t have kids. \nAlso the accent gradually develops and there’s nothing to worry about. This place is very diverse and there are people with very different accents from all around the world. There is some struggle initially but it all depends on what your priorities are. Life here is very comfortable once you get used to the lifestyle here and the biggest thing is, work life balance and the quality of life. If you want to do things other than your job, this is a good place to do that. Kids also become much more independent here. Rest it all depends on what your goals in life are. Also one of the biggest factors is, if your partner/husband isn’t willing to help with housework or cooking, you can’t survive here. As simple as that. Many factors to consider.

Canada is built on false promises to lure in immigrants to have them work for cheaper while ignoring it's own citizens. Treadeu doesn't care about his job and only uses it now to take tax payers money and fund his lavish lifestyle he's a rich egotistical douche that will only ever operate in his best interest and will lie and say what he has to for people to believe him he doesn't care about Canada or it's people only about keeping himself wealthy off tax payers dollars. If there was more of an effort on infrastructure and technology Canada could have been similarly valued to the states but treadeu ruined all major relationships and is a laughing stock globally it's very clear no world leader even respects the guy and hurts canadas trading potential massively along with how we're viewed. Canada tried way to hard to be it's own thing and different which also helped shoot the country in the foot. The government is extremely corrupt outright denys separate parties from speaking, underhanded tactics to win elections, control over media. Canada is a first world country but a declining one at that and if something doesn't change it will easily become an impoverished country where we will only be used to have our resourced sucked dry and sold to other countries to profit off while the elite remain powerful in Canada. Canada is seriously wasted potential. Canada should have high speed rails that connect the major cities but doesn't, we don't have actually good energy infrastructure due to projects being abandoned under trudeau that would bring a lot of money back. I used to love this country but as it is now I despise it because it's become crushing to live here as a bachelor making 32k and renting
