I swear to God if Trudeau allows even more immigrants in Canada, he's going to lose the election for sure. Even besides that, it's a horrible idea. Canada has way too many immigrants as it is.

An asylum seeker comes into a safe country, and that's it, not entering a 2nd country, from the USA, which is in itself a safe country. Also, amazing, how many disposable cell phones were in the ditch before entering Canada by an unauthorized entry point. This is slapping the true immigrants and true asylum seekers coming in the correct way into Canada. But unfortunately, Selfie Boy doesn't see it that way.

When my family came here, they all had to have a health certificate and a sponsor that guaranteed they would have employment and housing waiting for them when they got here. If its commonplace for any group of immigrants to be acting & behaving in certain ways back in their home country, then this is what they're bringing along when they immigrate to foreign countries! So,  they should work within the rules and find a way to legally settle (if they can) or leave. \n\n\nHowever, Canadians deserve to know more about this mess which is an outcome of aggressive marketing by Private colleges and the government's greed to get quick cash into the Canadian economy. Here are some clarifications to note:\n\n\n1. In the last six years, 1.5 million international students brought a minimum of $67,500,000,000 direct cash into the Canadian economy. (Assuming a min $40-45000 per student for 2 year diploma, between to $100,000 - 150,000 for undergrad, and around $50,000 for Masters degrees). Usually, international students have to pay most of this money before applying for the study visa. \n\n\n2. These colleges employ Canadians for their day to day operations. From cleaning, maintainance, administration to teaching, each college operates with approx 20-30million budget. So, more students lead to more employment for Canadians who further pay taxes.\n\n\n3. All students start work straightaway, pay taxes, and do not qualify for social security. They do not qualify for any student loans by Canadian govt or banks. So, they generate revenue for Canada through their work and taxes. The thing that govt LOVES.\n\n\n4. These students become new consumers and their expenditure generate revenues for local businesses.\n\n\n5. Most Colleges would not survive without international students. Which is good in the sense that only quality colleges will survive and other hanky panky colleges would shut down. However, such closures will lead to job losses, bankruptcy when the colleges won't be able to afford their expenses.\n\n\nSo, considering these factors it will be an industry collapse. Govt needs to control immigration. They need to introduce intelligent policies. The steps that current govt is currently taking are politically motivated not rational.

Canada is way overpopulated with the housing ratio. Immigration needs to be stopped immediately until Canadians can get affordable housing, then restored under limitation... It's not just the Government alone, The Universities, Colleges, Training Centres and their recruiting agents are all part of this legally organized crime. They all make money when the students are coming and the fact is these students know the education level in Canada won't help them get a decent job when they return back to their own country. The fact is International students from India are visible because they come in mass numbers. The International students from countries also come to study and they are also given PR's but is not visible due to their numbers. It's the Governments job to make sure and have it in written format that any International student coming for study has to go back and then reapply for a job if available. Also the Visitors, Parents or relatives should be dealt the same way.

As FRENCH, I think it is more an issue with policies set by both governments!!! You know you bring students IN and why don’t you build houses and encourage construction???? In France, many students (mainly Africa, and French departments like Guadeloupe, Tahiti or Martinique) come to study there (for free and we are proud of it!!!) BUT - unlike Canada - we do NOT have the same issues as Canada (our healthcare is NOT under pressure and our housing prices haven’t really increased that much as compared to Canada for example!!!) to me, the students are NOT to blame!!! It is the fault of the deciders (at different level) who have FAILED to set the right policies!!!! The schools are also to blame as some (not all) are so obsessed with making profits out of the higher international fees, which by way, subsidize Canadian students!!! So in Canada (not in France or Germany), the money that allows schools to function come from international students who BRING LOTS OF MONEY for the Canadian economy!!!! in France, it is different as the universities are FREE and are fully subsidized by the French government… but yes;) you have to speak French fluently to attend them!!! \nSo dear Canadians, do not blame foreign students thanks to whom your universities thrive and remain existant!!! Without them (namely the Indians too), the Canadian universities will struggle to find money and funding! Remember, the system in France is TOTALLY different!!!!\nAlso, reading from comments, I notice that many here have NEVER alert their own country!!! Indians are amazing when it comes to skills and hard work. The way Brampton has been taken over by Indians. Similarly, Markham has been taken over by Chinese. Mississauga has a lot of Pakistanis and this country is the country of immigrants. I am in Canada, born in India. I agree there are many Indian brown people here. It’s the govt that invited people, accepted them for the jobs they were unable to fulfill . These are highly educated, skilled and hardworking people. 25% all income from education comes from Indian people. Have been saying it for years to many international students from India lived in qc there were so many international students coming from Punjab to qc. They will go just about anywhere in Canada if it means it will get them a PR wow left qc and moved to Ottawa so far have not seen so many international students . Even as a Born Canadian my parent came from India back in the 80s\nDon’t want to live with Indians . That came from India in 2024 they are rude to girls on the bus have no shame . Ben living in Canada for 40+ years only know there has been a. Influx of migrants from India. Before the people come they at least new basic English and got usto the way of living the new once they don’t even know basic English and don’t have any common sense how they pass is beyond me .
