the infrastructure of Canada cannot handle a million new people a year. the Liberal government has exploited international students and temporary workers too much and needs to be reigned in. these policies and practices do not benefit Canadians, only landlords and franchise owners and the tax collectors are getting the benefits. you and i get inflated demand on rent and food prices. overcrowded classrooms and hospitals. delivery drivers who can't understand english and drive like maniacs. this is exacerbating the housing crisis in such a way that a single person cannot compete for the cost of a one bedroom apartment when a group of indians will share the cost with as many as seven people in one unit. our infrastructure, housing and transit was never intended to have this many people. there isn't even any rapid transit outside a handful of cities. mass immigration is also leading to election interference and could be used to vote in WEF garbage that will ruin even more nice things we take for granted. our high trust society is gone. shameless life hacks and citizenship of convenience is all most migrants are coming for. mass immigration is bringing down the standard of living in Canada. poverty and homelessness are out of control. whether its the chaos of crime or the eyesore of encampments. whether its was just a package on your porch or your car stolen from your driveway, the government isn't handling the load that mass immigration is putting on society and Canada's legal system is a joke. its almost like the Liberals are actively recruiting an army of psychopaths just to vote for them. the drugs and the gangs and the organized crime isn't worth the hollow platitudes and desperate social programs.

As a internationally students you guys support to study good go back and make your country better not come here try to get the PR and disrespectful Canada culture. And acting like this is your country your religion which you rub away from. You guys know too well why you leave your country. Then why don’t you adapt new culture and be a real Canadian.

International students are not the issue like the Government wants you to think ... its the massive inflex of illegals in our County, being provided with housing subsidies and health care. Jobs taken from Canadains. That's the problem. Legal immigration has never been a problem.

When I was an international student it was a PRIVILEGE to go and study. You came with enough money for each year - otherwise, no visa. Stop giving visas to students that have no money and need to work to survive. It’s not a right to come study and Canadian students that need these jobs while studying can’t get them.

They need to stop calling it immigration, it's not. The majority are illegal's, asylum seekers, refugees, people on open work permits or LMIA and international students thinking they can stay permanently. They are causing high taxes, stagnant wages, housing issues, high rime rates, and high taxes. The process of immigration is a long one and it's expensive. You need to prove you have the funds and somewhere to live or work. These people are being lied to to come here, exploited with employment , it's just bad for everyone, all around....except employers. Many don't know they get Government bonuses/Tax rebates etc. for hiring newcomers. Which is why you see more newcomers then Canadians being hired now.

My partner have been in Canada since 2021 and he came there on study visa. While applying for the permit, every student promise to IRCC that they will leave Canada once they finish the study though everyone who comes on study visa aims to be permanent residents later. However both me and my partner think and accept that *PR is not a right that we could fight or protest for.* The Candian govt does not owe a PR promise to any international students. If we are lucky enough to get the PR, well, we are blessed and it's a favour offered by the Govt. of Canada. Anybody applying for any forms of temporary residence in the country are obliged to accept the rules and regulations and policies associated with their stay. If we will not get PR in the future, we will leave the country with All due respect to every opportunities and fortunes that this country has given us. No offense. Also when you move and settle in another country respect their culture and don't ever try to showcase the culture and practices of your home country if it will not be welcomed by the native people.

I think requirements are pretty low. don’t see any thing wrong with speaking your own language with your people. Many collages and universities have low level of requirements so they can have more international students to make money from. Why do they come to Canada, if not for the benefits? Why do these countries not set up their own Universities, where former international students go back home and teach their country and students what they learned here. It would be cheaper for them, and they can stay in their own country. But, they don't want to do that as they see Canada as the country of opportunities to bring their whole extended families here. We are already facing housing shortages, and don't need any of this type of opportunistic citizenships. They need to drastically cut the amount of foreign students allowed in. This year they are allowing 485,000 students. This does not take into account the students who are in high school or those studying for their master’s or doctoral degree's. In total it is 552,000. Then add on the Immigrants at 485,000, illegals or asylum claims( which is at record high numbers, could not find the figures for this year), then the migrant workers which are estimated between 700k to 900k. This is all too much. Drastic cuts need to be made, and this government that allowed all that to happen needs to be ousted out.

A complete stop on illegal immigration. Send those came in illegally back home. A check of all those that came in under the claim for asylum, background check, history check, vet them correctly. A complete stop on new international students. Close all loop holes that have been used to by-pass our laws. A moratorium on immigration for a minimum of 10 years or longer, that way the legal immigrants can be processed in a timely manner. Anyone who refuses to pledge allegiance to Canada and reject hatreds from their previous counties need to be deported immediately. It is alarming how many young people do not think Canada doesn't have a culture. Sympathy for those with a sob story real or not is over.

I am from India , 80 % of these Indians are from the states of Punjab, Gujarat and Hariyana and they mostly come to Canada with IELTS and degree certificates obtained via improper channels . I have hardly seen any one of them actually take a serious effort towards education . Canada is doing a very bad job filtering international students. The smart ones are being absorbed by the USA, predominantly from Southern India; while Canada mostly attracts the lower tire group from North India with lower productive value to economy.

International students are not immigrants, seperate things. They are foreign students here on a student visa to study something.

Look at the international student diploma mills filled with students who are illiterate.

The amount of money international students specifically indian students invest in getting admissions and visa here, is the amount of money they can use to get very rich education without even working and just studying and staying in a good hostel with food there in India. Difference between legit immigrants and international students is that most immigrants are committed to staying long-term and contributing to the society and country. These international students have no such commitments, and they do not integrate. International students take up the jobs that tax-paying citizens used to do such as grocery store checkouts. The Dollar store near me used to hire older citizens but now they are filled with international students who don’t even speak English in the store. So frustrating!\n\nNoooo! Why should Canadian Government do something for International students? Shouldn’t that be done by their own Country’s government?

No international students need to be sent home when they're done with they're studies. They are guests in Canada they don't get do demand anything and they don't deserve to stay. Period.

No, nobody promised them anything; that’s just a big lie. They’re a hundred times smarter than you think and know exactly what’s going on. Now, they’re just putting all the blame on immigration agents. They all understand what they’re getting into and what they’ve signed up for. But it’s totally the government’s fault because they either know what’s happening or don’t want to see it. The best solution is to allow these students to stay and halt further immigration for three years to fix internal problems.

It sounds like these international students were lying from the start. They claimed they came for an education but when told they have to go back when they're done they cry victim. Nobody promised them any kind of future, just a paid for education if they could afford it. Can you imagine if we behaved that way if we went to study abroad??

International students and other immigrants contribute greatly to Canada’s economy. The government knows that that's why they were asking for so many immigrants to come here. How come one minute they had a goal 1.5 million immigrants then the next minute immigrants are the problem? Theyre just using immigrants as a scape goat instead of fixing the housing problem. Immigrants work very hard and pay a lot of taxes and the international students pay 4 times the tuition as Canadians so they are boosting the economy. Maybe the Canadians living on welfare are the ones who should leave because they are not contributing to the country.

Stop picking on international students. The legitimate ones pay very high tuitions which is Canada’s greatest source of revenue for those of you who don't know. Also if they do master's programs then get high paying jobs that means they pay higher taxes than many Canadian born do. So legitimate international students contribute greatly to Canada’s economy stop acting as though they came here for free.

Other Asians like from the Philippines started as international students integrated well working in trade, healthcare (e.g., nurses, doctors, caregivers, PSW etc), banking and agriculture sectors. Canada for sure will immensely benefit from this kind of diversity in my opinion.

Always the same the government should do something about it, hello?!! Everything the government does is done with tax payer’s money or did you think the money in Canada just falls from the sky. Most international students come here to stay, studies is just a way in. Once their studies are done it’s time to go home and if you really want to come here go through the immigration process as a skilled worker. Why is this even up for discussion.

International students have never received automatic entry to Canada. Actually they have to promise to return to their country in oder to receive temp visa. Looks like Liberals have really messed up with those rules. Where is the point system to qualify? Show these idiots what the requirements are and then deport them.
