I am right there with you guys but not for the reason you guys are leaving I hate the fighting. No matter who they are I hate seeing people that are innocent being hurt... Our problem here in America is Donald Trump! I am so fed up with that man and if he wins again I'm definitely moving to a different country but the same reasons you guys are freedom... Because if he gets back in office we will no longer be free unfortunately I have grandchildren and children and I don't know what to do about that, makes my heart so sad that I don't know what to do about them and I can't do anything for them but I try to keep my options opening hope and pray that we don't get him in office again.... May God be with you always finding your place to land is going to be fun, your family is beautiful your girls and your son to serve be free to practice your religion just as much as you are! But please let us take the adventure with you I can't wait to see where you land?

It's so sad, because it is such a huge, beautiful country. And you know, in the USA, we grew up watching things, and reading things, etc that weren't even Amercian, but Canadian, and mostly not knowing it. So many beloved things from Canada. We did also feel like they were happier, and more pleasant than we were. But I have many friends up there, from all Provinces, and they all have the same complaints. Thing is, they are the same complaints about the USA also, but just things like crime in the USA is notably worse....I used to live in the UK also, and that was better, but still not brilliant. The west as a whole is falling apart, and there are reasons for that, reasons that are being mostly ignored, so it will only get worse I'm afraid, unless we start demanding that they know longer be countries that cater to only the rich. Where only the rich can thrive.

My father lived 20 years in Canada, he received a pension, in the last 4 years he has had to work because the pension was not enough, now he has decided to return to Colombia because even receiving a pension and working at the same time he cannot afford to live in Toronto, he says in the last 4 years the quality of life has deteriorated, everything are much more expensive, so much so that it is no longer worth returning to Canada.

It's funny. I was talking with a coworker last week. He is a Canadian citizen and has been here for about 6 years. He told me that he's counting down the days until he becomes a US citizen. He has a couple of months to go. He said that he no longer cares about his Canadian citizenship. His wife is still trying to get a green card. They have a child who was born here and is therefore a US citizen by birth.

Canadian here. Canada is a pointless sh!thole. You might as well move anywhere else, like 31% of new immigrants do. Rampant street crime, businesses are little more than fronts for organized crime, homelessness is on the rise, food, clothing, shelter and fuel are unaffordable, your average citizen pretends it’s not happening, unions are corrupt as hell, as are universities and the government. All the hallmarks of a decaying, braindead, decadent civilization are there. Women are mostly little more than worthless whores, men are mostly debauched fools if not homeless, we’re plagued by censorship, surveillance, CIA-type dirty tricks, transgender mania, an inability to think clearly, and magical thinking. Plus the healthcare system no longer functions or even gives a damn. \n\nIt’s little more than a slave state swirling the drain. Our government makes decisions such as sending millions and millions to Ukraine in order to promote a pointless war, get the better part of a million people killed whilst making sure people at home are deprived of the basics.\n\nOur government officials have maggots infesting their skulls. All western financial systems are due a heavy crash they can not keep up with such vast amounts of people coming in and as in Europe the vast mass of illegals who can not work sucking up the benefits system raises taxes and demand for housing is shooting prices up. \nThe western governments went into money printing mode that creates inflation raising prices on every day goods and foods this can not be sustained for much longer before it all comes crashing down, This also affects places in schools and medical wait times with more people flooding in to the point in the UK where i live you can be waiting up to 5 hours for an ambulance and 3-6 months for an operation.\n25 years ago you could get a 2 bedroom house here for around 25k now you are looking around 150k-250k the kids born here have no chance of owning a home and most end up staying with parents up to their 30s-40s, Even private landlords are under threat from government buyouts that end up housing migrants and not our citizens its a real mess that has no signs of slowing.

I was tinkering and planning for a full 5 years wanting to live in Canada, BC but decided not too after evaluating the monthly cost. Each annual visits gotten longer and longer to get the feel on the ground. It was not meant to be, perhaps next time thou.

As a resident of the capital region of British Columbia: houses are 2-3x the cost they were 10 years ago. You can no longer get a doctor. Food and gas prices are also through the roof. \n\nEarning $100,000 in 2023 is like making $50,000 in 2014 in terms of spending power. This is an absolute disaster.

In my province healthcare is ostensibly nonexistent. Wait times at ER's are well over 12 hours and you're often directed to go home without ever seeing a doctor. \nThere is an extreme deficit of doctors. I've been waiting 6 years for one and there are people who have waited much longer with no relief in sight. \nHousing is unaffordable. A decent (nothing special) one bedroom 1 bath apartment is around 1600 a month and this is a largely rural province, not a metropolitan city. \nHomes are being bought as fast as they go on the market at extremely inflated prices by people moving here to escape the more populated provinces. This has raised property taxes by 20% in the last 2 years.\nThe economy is in shambles. Homelessness is exploding and the government seems uninterested in fixing it in any realistic or helpful way.\nFederal and provincial income taxes are nearly 50% of your income (44% for me and a bit more for my wife). So, what money you do make you get to keep a little more than half.\nElectricity is about 3 times what it is in the US and the rate here is increasing by 29% over the next 3 years.\nGroceries are unreasonably expensive and becoming more pricey by the day. Provincial sales tax is 15% on top of those groceries as well. \nThis is a short list of a few of the more glaring issues but there are far more. Canada has transformed over the last 5 years into a place I hardly recognize anymore. If something isn't done about it soon we'll be living in a third world country by 2030.

Symptomatic of Canada is the fact that on average Government employees earn 20% more than those in equivalent jobs in the private sector, they retire will fully indexed pensions equivalent to their 3 highest salary years (private sector employees must pay for their own pension or try and live off the universal pension of $1,200 per month from CPP), their benefits and vacation time are unmatched by the private sector. It is workers in the private sector and the companies that employ them who pay all the taxes required to compensate the most overpaid and bloated government service in the world. As a result, Canada's private sector is no longer competitive. It is a country where parents no longer encourage their children to find a high pay job in the private sector, they instead encourage their children to either move to the USA (if they're ambitious) or secure a government sector job. THIS IS THE PROBLEM WITH CANADA. and God help you if you're born in Canada as a Caucasian Make your change of securing one of these high paying government jobs is close to zero.

as a Canadian who is highly educated and, your list is totally on point. I was born and raised here, and at 40yo I would say that leaving has been on my mind for the past 5+ years and will be the likely scenario for me once my grandparents are no longer around. If it weren't for them, I would have left years ago. The two primary drivers for me are job opportunities and the government. One thing I will correct is the wages you presented. The vast majority of Canadians, regardless of whether they were born here or not, do NOT make 6 figures and even the high 5 figures is not as common as people like to think. I have been turned down for work because of being over-qualified more times than not and now struggle on less than 50K/yr with 2 jobs. Just trying to get a part time gig to supplement is a problem despite my decades of experience. As someone who is single, one income just does not cut it here no matter how frugal or minimalist your life is. I can't imagine what its like for those with families. Plain and simple, this country, like many, is failing.

I am a Brazilian who lived in 2 different countries in Europe and of course in Brazil, and I share the same feeling as this guy once I lived in Toronto for 12 months and could not stay any longer. Canada self sells itself very well, but once you are inside it is not worthy. It only fits those that are very consimists. Just for those who think that happiness can be purchased.

Being 34 and born and raised here and never having lived in any other country. In my humble opinion, this country has gone down hill fast. I no longer enjoy living here. I cant afford to survive here on my own. It's getting worse by the month.

And a very large percentage of the homeless population are people with untreated mental health disorders, because there's no effective mental healthcare in Canada and it's almost impossible to get disability for a mental health disorder.\n\nMany people don't have health insurance, and if you don't have health insurance, you can't afford medication, which is incredibly expensive. Which means your disability increases. It's extremely hard to get a family doctor (I was on a waiting list for 3 years before I finally got a call, and I've been trying to get an appointment with a specialist for over a year now). The hospitals are telling people to stay away unless your situation is dire. The food banks are turning people away because they're running out of food.\n\nAs far as I can tell, the government no longer cares about anyone who isn't wealthy.

When so many Palestinian Houses have been decimated by the bombing and the infastucture destroyed there will be thousands in desperate need of rapidly but well built homes if they are to remain on their land. I'd like to suggest something. The Chinese have recently come up with a way to extremely quickly build modular homes that can both be stably stacked high and dissassembled and moved to another location. If the design is made appropriate for the regions climate this could be a great solution. I hope it could be done ecologically and with healthy materials. The longer they go without housing the higher the mortality rate will be. This solution means people could be housed even before any final agreement is made on where the houses will be in 10 or 20 years time.

Canada was conceived by the British. They wanted to stop the Americans from taking over their holdings. Canada does not work geographically, politically or economically any longer, it never really did. Just look at the history of the west, Louis Riel, Quebec's submission, maritime poverty, etc. This 19th century British Imperialist experiment has failed. Things are definitely broken here, slowly deteriorating for the past 20 years, but especially escalated since Trudeau in 2015, and the BS and lies and propaganda since the start of COVID. This country is deteriorating as a direct consequence of our fascist government and broken institutions. Don’t know where this goes, but we are definitely a nation in decline, and the takeover of government by corporate interests and corrupt politics is the reason why. We do not live in a democracy. Don’t let anybody tell you we do. Everything is a lie, and people are figuring it out and no longer wish to participate in a society that has become hostile towards the middle class. The entire system is a pyramid scheme, and the Jenga blocks are crumbling.

As a born and raised Canadian millennial, I'm grateful to have escaped Canada almost a decade ago when even back then I could no longer tolerate the conditions of Greater Toronto. It's exponentially worse in Toronto today. I wish the best for Canada but I just can't see it improving over the coming decades. I love my life in the US too much to ever move back, but fortunately close enough to make the drive to visit friends and family.

They send ppl over to terrorize them and steal oil, and then offer them a picture perfect place to live and gain new slaves to help themselves continue to get richer while they destroy the world and by the time they realize how it really works it will be too late to leave.
