I agree with you leaving. I am a 3rd generation retired Canadian who used to be proud to be so. Now I am not, in fact I am embarrassed to say I am Canadian as it is nothing to be proud of. I think of how good things were in the 70's and 80's while I was young and now how bad things are today and it is truly depressing. Back then if you are willing to work, you could make a decent living, buy a car, a house and raise a family - today, good luck with that. The people in the west have had no say in the faulty governments we have had as Ontario and Quebec have put the final nails in our coffin when they elected that buffoon JT for a third consecutive term and then the NDP kisses his butt to join up and torture us more when most sane Canadians did not ask for this. JT is truly an embarrassment for this country although the US is in step with comatose Joe. I feel sorry for the kids and many others that are trying to survive, make a living and buy houses. Reverse discrimination has been at play for 20 years or so but is really out of control these days when a white Canadian kid that has got 5 yr honours degree in University has trouble finding a job today because you are the wrong colour. Our national anthem was changed a number of years back for no good reason. Immigrants are being imported by this idiot called our PM and handed out living accommodations, jobs and our hard earned $$ that he stole from us while our own people fall deeper into the quagmire. Many of these immigrants are bringing their hatreds and views with them to are country and are causing chaos. We are heavily taxed for driving our cars and heating our houses on FALSE pretenses with the govt saying it is to save the world - nice try - BS. The government and schools are pushing the alphabet children protocol per the WEF. These are just a few things that are wrong with this country that is sinking quicker than the Titanic. Everything this country stood for is now gone. It is so obvious to anyone that doesn't consume the main stream medias programming what is going on here (and when you do look at it you see how ridiculous what they report, how they report, they are no longer reporters but merely reading the scripts they have been handed by the powers that be) , however there are far too many people with their faces in their phones that are zombies today which is what the governments want. Hi Guys,\n\nI did live in Canada for 10 years and I left because of the cost of living.\nI had my own plumbing company and before I left I closed down my business and worked for a plumbing company full time and they paid me $42/h\nAlso my wife was making $32/h\n\nWe made decent money But Trudeau took half of it.\nMy car insurance was $4700 per year, rent for a bungalow just the top floor (3 bed 1 bath) $2400 in Calgary plus utilities plus we had another family renting basement, bungalow like apartment building.\n\nIt’s not worth it, I am a plumber and gas fitter (red seal) well educated individual with 20 plus year experience and my wife is social worker with 20 year experience and we both speak fluent and English. Most people thought that we were Canadian even though English not our first language\n\nTrudeau doesn’t want experienced and educated people.\nCanada is a rip off

I understand peoples idea of leaving Canada. That's okay, you can do that. I'll never leave Canada. It's my home, it's gonna be my home. No matter what yes, we're going through some tough times right now but I can tell you right now. The whole world is going through some tough times it isn't just cand to blame everything on Trudo. Is not right. The conservatives have just as much in this game as anyone else. All these governments have basically fought amongst each other and did nothing to do anything good for Canadians. The thing is we have to voting. Governments that are actually going to do something to make things right agand we now have a world economy. It's not just a Canadian economy. I can agree to many of the mentioned problems. Housing is much cheaper outside the cities btw.\nBut in one thing I confess guilty: \nI expect people who want to live here permanently or for a very long time (> 5 years) to make an effort to learn the language. There is no discussion for me. I don't expect fluent German, but you have to be able to communicate somehow. Language is the most important premise for integration. And anyone who rejects integration is not welcome here in my opinion. But anyone who makes an effort to integrate professionally and culturally/socially is welcome.

Student visa to Thailand, you can get it from Laos Thai embassy. I have done this once, you go to Thailand as tourist, register with a school, to study anything, thai language if you want, example 2 times a week 3 hours each time, super minimal study. The school will make a bus tour with the students to Laos embassy, 1 night there and you will have student visa.\nIf you want to tske it super easy, you can also study english language, just to make it easy, but of course learning thai would be helpful.\nIt wasn't a big school with lots of students, just a small offline building with 30-50 foreigner students,\nBest part is that you can go instantly, no need to wait in your home country for months to get a visa.\nI think you can stay 5 years with student visa if you continue your study, maybe you need a paper from the school once a year to proof you didn't drop out.

Canada is really still not that bad of a place to live. I am 38 years old suffer with epilepsy own my own house, I am married. My job is Medicore paying and very hard work. Me and my wife have plenty of disposable income at the end of the month to do what we want with or save it. A lot of people need to learn how to budget money. Stay away from credit cards, personal loans , expensive cars basically useless shit. Yes canada is expensive but there ways around it. Example stop living in expensive cities. Find skill sets around your job if you want extra money trust me there many of them. I make more money just on my hobbies then I do working, guess what tax free. Health care not the best but it is still really not that bad yet. Point being if I can handle Canada you can to trust me I am nobody special. I just live within my means and have hustles on the side with just high school education.

For the past several years, Canada has only been a stopping off point or a temporary layover before you embarked on your next journey so you're not really losing anything. You're a citizen of the world, really. You're just basically looking for a home base of sorts that makes economic sense as you continue you're nomadic lifestyle. Dont be sad, you're not really losing anything at all because you can always come back and stay a while whenever you so desire. I think you just want a place where you're safe and the numbers make sense and that's OK. You go girl!!❤

Same story, also moved to Canada(French Canada!!! :D) when I was 4, I'm 32, been in Canada like 24 years. Easy fit, my Dad was Canadian, so got Naturalized easily. I left Canada at the end of 2020. Mostly because of Covid/Work Opportunities in engineering. Now living in the USA with my Canadian Wife and visiting Canada 2 months every year, also happen to be born American, so again, easy(easier**, still hard) move for me. Currently working in engineering, less travel experience, but I did get to visit or work for long period of time in 5 countries. Anyway, I do have similar opinion, I think the solution is a federal housing initiative. We NEED to build north and have more cities than Toronto,Montreal & Vancouver. It would reduce rent & mortgage by a lot. Essentially solving the ''where are we going to put all those immigrants issue'', then secondly, we need to encourage entrepreneurship and business a lot more. We need more jobs and be less reliant on our USA neighbors or EU neighbors 3. Better transport, surprisingly a lot of Canadian don't visit all other Canadian province and prefer traveling out , hell, I want nothern Canada & Nothern Quebec to be more like Alaska, or make it easier from someone from Quebec to move to Alberta, but still easy enough to visit family and friends in their home state in under 3 hours. ;)

I wish the best for Alina, but want to also make a general comment. If we don't fix the problems in our Western countries, pretty soon there won't be anywhere better left to run to. But to fix the problems, people have to stop being afraid of not being politically correct, and be willing to take unpopular positions.

I've been here (Canada) all of my life, and I would not want to live anywhere else on this planet. Everywhere has its pluses and minuses, and things will eventually turn around. As for you, this is great, you're young, the nature/definition of work has drastically changed since I was your age, so yes, I whole heartly agree, go out and make your mark, explore and enjoy what the world has to offer.

for those who say i the coments that a country needs to be monoethnic to be safe one question remains. How do legal migrants who go to work there make the country unsafe? I'm portuguese, we have many people from different ethnicities, and we are the 4th safest country in the world. You don't need to be monoethnic to be safe. In our case it would be historically innacurate with all the portuguese speaking countries around the world that have adopted most traces of the portuguese culture. Our country hasn't been monoethnic since the 1600s. One thing is not wanting illegals to cross easily another one is the blatant hatred and discrimination that I see in the comments.

It's all fine and well that you want to leave Canada but where will you go that's any better? After all it is your choice. The problems we see happening around the world are a global problem. There are at least 2 major wars going on. Inflation is rampant in most countries in the world and we ARE heading for a global economic depression that will dwarf anything that we've seen in the 1930's. Speaking for myself my roots are here in Canada which is not the Canada I grew up in anymore. Sadly. Used to be a really great place to live until Trudeau and his band of thieves ruined it. I may as well make my last stand here. If I was going to move where would I go. The EU? Absolutely not! They're tanking. America? No effing way! The American empire is collapsing. Along with the FED note. South America? Don't think so. Most S. American countries are iffy at best. Australia? No. They're nuts. New Zealand? No. They're struggling badly and people are leaving there in droves. Africa? No way in hell. So that doesn't leave very much. Antarctica? Little on the cold side. Few amenities. ;) May as well stay where I am and take my chances. Better the devil I know than the one I don't. If you're serious about moving out of Canada be sure to do your due diligence and research about your target country. Grass always looks greener on the other side but many times isn't once you get there. One place that I AM attracted to is the Azores. Beautiful place. Friendly people. Good climate. One drawback is that I don't speak Portuguese. And I would have to be independently wealthy. After a certain amount of time out of the country I would lose my Canadian pension. It's said that where we are is where we're supposed to be. I may as well take my chances, make the best of a crappy situation and stay here. There really is no better or worse place than Canada. The majority of the countries in the world are struggling with their own problems. I'm not willing to jump from the frying pan into the fire. One of the biggest reasons I want to stay in Canada is that if it does come to a nuclear shooting war it would be very unlikely that Canada would be attacked. So here I'll stay. For better or worse. The LIberals won't be in power forever and if people have the smallest amount of sense, so few will vote for them in the next election that the Liberals will lose party status. I was born in Asia. I lived in Australia, USA and now Germany because I married a German. \n\nIt is always a challenge to break into the group because the people born in that country have already established their circle of friends and with family.\n\nYou will always have to put in the effort to establish something. But i have to say that some places are easier to make friends compared to others.\n\nGermany wants skilled workers but their system and people do not recognise other countries qualifications (even first world countries' certificates), adding to the fact the language is difficult to master.\n\nIt is not impossible but you will have to count your advantages and disadvantages to see if it works for you.

As an international student, I'm studying in a uni of applied sciences, I have a German friend whom I am teaching English, because I'm fluent in English. There was a mandatory subject in our course regarding English. I know my friend, he cannot speak 2 sentences in English without making a single grammatical error, and he admits that. Still somehow the teacher gave him 80% in the English exam, and gave me 63% in the exam. I saw the grading, his grading was extremely lenient and mine was extremely harsh. Even my German friend said that he's surprised with the grading and thinks it's unfair. \n\nSo these are the reasons I don't wish to stay in Germany. If you want skilled immigrants to contribute to your social system and boost your economy, the least you could do is be nice to us.

Hi Alina, well done on your decision. This is not an easy thing to do. As well as Canada, i have lived in the uk and Greece. I don't want to make things harder for you but i want to warn you that the grass is never greener on the other side. I am very disappointed with Canada to be honest. My wife and i are moving from Alberta to New Brunswick next week in search of a quieter, calmer, cheaper life. Let's see what happens. I completely agree with all of your points. I could easily get political but i won't. Suffice to say, keep doing what you love. Screw the system that is forced on us. We work for no return. Work doesn't pay anymore. Focus on what fills you up no matter where!

I hold a Masters degree in Computer Science from a prestigious technical university in Europe. I have over 15 years experience with software engineering in different industries, such as finance, science and big pharma. I can live any country I want with my background and experience, easily making over 6 digits paycheck. \n\nHowever, I’d not consider living in Germany because for one simple reason: the political environment. The hardcore right is on full rise. Racists everywhere. The Nordics are much better.

I came to Berlin, Germany ?? from India with my family in 2021 on EU Blue card. I work here as a Software Engineer and last month I got my PR. Below are my observations \n1) Not expat friendly at all - Most of Govt departments doesn’t want to speak English at all making us feel we are useless. Esp at initial level it is next to impossible \n2) Taxes are too high I have lots of friends in Netherlands in HSM visa and they have 30 percent off in total salary meaning taxes are charged on remaining 70 percent.\n3) Difficult to buy home in Germany ?? whereas in Netherlands it is super easy and banks easily give 100 percent mortgage. Many friends of mine took their own house on the very first year and their emi is almost equivalent to the rent.\n4) Openess to English is still an issue if Germany ?? needs more skilled workers which I feel they desperately need it they would need to be more open towards English which is a common linked language.\n5) People are not at all friendly and avoid small talks.

Because Canadians are seeing their country disappear in front of their eyes. For a country with such a massive landmass, Canada's population is microscopic. If mass migration goes unchecked for just a few generations, Canada won't be Canada any more. The maple leaf will be replaced by a crescent moon... The same thing is happening all over western countries, and it is being done on purpose against the wishes of the majority. Mass migration from African and Middle Eastern countries is changing demographics at a frightening pace, and people are rightly concerned by that. It's completely reasonable and sensible for one to want to preserve one's culture and national identity. People have fought and died for thousands of years for such things. \n \nThe fact that so many cultures and nations exist around the world is one of the things that makes our planet interesting. It's why people travel. If I go to Japan, for instance, I want to feel the difference in the way of life, but if Japan suddenly opened its door to mass migration, I wouldn't any more. So Japan doesn't open its door to mass migration, and what would you know? Japan still resembles Japan.

The real issue is Canada is letting in the trash other nations that they no longer want. The people coming into Canada are the people who cant make it in their own countries. What makes you think they will stand any chance here? We need to let in skilled workers in industries that have demand instead of letting random non working people looking for hand outs because hey cannot make it in their country. The when they do come here, they cannot come to Toronto or Vancouver because they simply cannot afford it. Go where you are needed and stand a chance, the country is vast and in need of people outside of the metros

I am from Pakistan and all my friends and relatives moved to UK, US, Australia and Canada. When I say all I mean 18 out of 20 left Pakistan and they don't want to come back to Pakistan ever because who doesn't want a better lifestyle for themselves and for their future generations but my father advised me never to leave your country because no matter what other countries will never accept you as their own citizens. Instead of leaving your country try to make it better. \n\nToday I see exactly that happening throughout the world. They want their countries back and you see their hearts filled with hatred against these immigrants. Sooner or later these immigrants will have to sell everything and come back to their countries. What a wise man my father was!

I grew up in the country since I was born (I turn 30 next year), and it's the most beautiful place I've ever seen. I was doing some historical research on the Ark of the Covenant....revealed some evidence that the 'Sephardic Jewish' folks have been hiding for thousands of years....and part of this involves the location of the Ark of the Covenant and the REAL exodus lands of the Ashkenazi Jews. I posted my research on a History channel video talking about this. The part they tried to redact was this: \n \nThe real exodus city of the Ashkenazi Jews was Derinkuyu in Turkey. The Islamics of Turkey don't want to give that back to them \n \nThere were THREE types of folks being attacked by Egypt at the time of Ramses II. There is a hieroglyph picture of him holding three dwarves. Three tribes of Jews here: Nubian (Mizrahi), Libyan (Sephardic) and Syrian (Moses' Ashkenazi). The European Jews were put into Turkey. Because they shared European blood with the folks there. They took their cousins in. But only THEIR cousins. \n \nAfter the Sephardic Jews were pushed by Persians into Spain they were kicked out into Morroco / Africa when the Europeans took back this region. They had religious and cultural differences and these folks were not of European blood. \n \nThe Sephardic Jews turned around and moved slaves into the Americas and impersonated French and Spanish settlers creating slave plantations. They blamed Europeans for this. This is probably because they hated both Europeans AND Africans for displacing them. \n \nPlease note they DO NOT have European blood. They are 50-60% Middle Eastern. 10-25% African and 10-25% Asian blooded. Absolutely NO Norse or Celt blood in them. They can pass close enough apparently for Latin folks or Basques. \n \nAfter the Brits took the Americas they gaslit their Ashkenazi cousins (who DO have European blood) into taking territory in Turkey and Syria and pushed them into Europe creating the conflicts that created WW1 and WW2. \n \nThese folks are extremely anti-European. We see them impersonating Spanish in South America. They are impersonating French Canadians in Canada trying to push for separatism from Europeans.
