I am white. And I have been targetted several times as a potential theif. Including one time going to Superstore in pjs and my pic was posted as theif. And my husband worked there (he's black) and told them to take that picture down. My white girl friend worked for Superstore and had her bag of laundry to take to her mother's house after work. The security guard . Ripped open her bag and threw her laundry every where. I have been targetted by Walmart security. (they weren't white). I have been targetted at several stores who aren't white. I am from the US and am ashamed at my country’s racism. My family has always taught me as a very very young child that my country was new and made up of people of every country...a melting pot. As my parents taught me I also taught my daughter. It wasn’t until she reached high school that racism was really addressed at my home. In her sophomore year she came home extremely distressed over a discussion at her lunch table. Mind you she had been with the same group of girls since kindergarten. The subject came up about a new girl in school, from another country... Africa. She was so distressed about the conversation before the end of day she spoke to a teacher about it...her math and track coach. I was incredibly proud of her! To this day I can’t thank my parents enough for instilling in me what I needed to live free. To this day my daughter 17 years later has the pleasure of that young girl from Africa as a part of her extended family. We know what we are taught and ignorance has no place in or society today. I also grew up in Chester, PA where Dr Martin Luther King Went to school or a time, my parents were so proud of that.

I live in Victoria, and take this. I worked in a place, where the manager was from Asia, and she treated me like hell forcing me to move to another department, claiming she doesn't need an assistant. And now you go to that department and you find all employees are from her country. Talk about racism, it's everywhere. And yes when an Asian or a black treat others in a wrong way, it's still called racism. Racism is real and it does exist whether we like it or not. When I went to college, this white girl was so disrespectful and rude. She always look down on students except some white students as if she is superior than us. Most of white people, I have met are racists because I can tell even though they won’t say they are.
