In 2004 I wrote a somewhat famous article called 'Top 8 reasons not to immigrate to Canada'. In short, the Canadian authorities tried to destroy my life. They made it so that I could not be employable in Canada. So I moved to the U.S. in 2005 and then some years later I moved permanently to the Philippines. I am happy that so many years later videos like yours are saying essentially the same things that I did. I was ahead of my time. I will never go back to Canada. Not to live, not to visit, not even a connecting flight. Too cold, too expensive, taxes are astronomical, no freedom, no jobs, no opportunities, xenophobic people, too depressing. It has become the North Korea of the western world.\n\nTheir are many reasons why Canada has fallen apart. But the number one reason is ‘multiculturalism’. My friends, multiculturalism simply does not work. Different cultures do not come together and mix, different cultures come together and clash. The world is divided into different countries for a reason: because people hate each other and only want to be with their own kind. The number two reason for Canada’s demise is ‘socialism’. In this modern era of aging populations, it is mathematically impossible for socialism to continue. The government does not have the money to take care of old people and provide healthcare, pensions and the various other benefits, even with the astronomical taxation that burdens hard working Canucks. Well Canada, you had a good run. Time for Canucks to move to an emerging country. We welcome you here in Southeast Asia.

Indian news exaggerating the situation in Canada. I've been living in Canada past 5 years. I've never made more money and never lived my life better. \n\nWhen a million students come to study every year in 2 major intakes, it's obviously hard to find jobs. Canadian government has rightfully put a cap on this number to prevent this. The only mistake they did was not putting a cap 3-4 years ago.

Canada is becoming worse every day anyway!!! Salary are low (while cost of living is skyrocketing), which is why we have so many Canadians and immigrants who are becoming so anxious, depressed and facing all sorts of mental problems), people are moody, quality of life is decreasing and transport is trash compared to France and the lack for doctors is making this country look like a third world\nEconomy!!! Even Canadians are happy to leave this place (poor weather, lousy healthcare, lousy retirement compared to places like France, lousy transportation compared to most of Europe, worse mental health services than Europe, people are too serious and take things so seriously compared to the French) and honestly, we think of leaving it too for another country.. that you can trust me! (My 2 younger sisters are actually leaving and makes plans to leave Canada behind for good to immigrate elsewhere and my older brother plans to relocate to a warmer country.\n.. and NO!! This is such a hilarious “news segment”. As a Canadian it is very entertaining to watch uneducated Indian news about Canada. Just for reference in my Canadian city we had only 2 days of light snow. \n\nIf you immigrate to any country without an education you will have to do blue collar jobs. Do your research before moving anywhere. Canada is fantastic for the right person, just like any other country right is for the right person.

Yes. Not enough instructors to test and teach in important fields like nursing and medicine. Canadians are missing out on spots. Too many graduates dilute the value of a degree, especially in the liberal arts where specific knowledge is less important than skills (although indoctrination of certain ideology has become more important than development of skills, e.g., critical thinking).\n\nTop heavy institutions need to cut the bloat to lower costs.

Who on Earth would want to live here? We are such a depressing and failing culture and society. We have placed ourselves in a situation where nothing properly can grow here. Find a better place to call home. Canada can't be home to people. So that leaves me with options of suicide later in life, at least Canada is getting programs together for that and the options become more accessible every passing year. Many years sending money to other countries, supporting other people in other countries, not properly taxing money being sent overseas from immigrants brought into Canada sending expendable Canadian dollars to foreign countries, causing Canada to deteriorate starting at that horrible airport in Toronto. Interesting video - as a Canadian who hasn't lived in the country for nearly 2 decades : ) \n\nWhenever i return to my hometown (Burlington) i do notice an increased foreign population. Here in New Zealand, I've met quite a few British and Americans living here as well (my partner is American) but recently, I've also started seeing more Canadians coming here.\n\nTypically with British people living here, they say they move to New Zealand because of better pay, better ability to or chances of buying a house (housing here in NZ is already very expensive as is but okay), warmer weather and NZ being less crowded.\n\nA few Americans living here did say they've moved here because they married a Kiwi or they work in the film industry, but most of them say because of New Zealand's free universal healthcare, the fact we have maternity leave and better workers rights than the States.\n \nI never really expected Canada to have the same social issues as that of the USA or UK.

I'm perfectly happy with Canada and being Canadian. My business is thriving. I don't own a house (i'm 50) and probably won't. They aren't good investments and both a recession and a housing crash are necessary to lower prices. \n\nLet me say something about the housing crisis - it's not immigration. Canadians are overleveraged. Many own second, third and fourth properties that they rent out. Once they have to renew into the teeth of higher rates you'll start to see a correction like what we saw in the 1980s. Couple that with higher unemployment and you have a recipe for a crash. Everyone wants lower house prices -- until we get them. Go try to renew your 600,000k mortgage on your million-dollar house that's now worth $800,000. \n\nHealth care is a problem - but where isn't it? The UK? The US? Many parts of the US are close to third-world countries. \n\nI'm happy here. The rest of the world seems bonkers by comparison. Go ahead and leave.

What we need to do is start a nationwide boycott of any canadian company that currently employs international students as more than 10% of its ENTIRE workforce.\n\nAnd a federal law that prohibits a company from hiring more than 10% of it's staff from anyone that doesn't currently posess a valid canadian passport. If a company is found in violation.. their business licence is automatically, immediately, and permanently revoked.... not just suspended.. but cancelled and the business shut down.

As an international student from India at a top university with a scholarship, I found it quite odd when I go to the Tim Hortons near McgIll or literally any food shop in Toronto and found talking to the guy/girl taking the order in Hindi. I am like bruh wtf I went from India to mini India, wasnt studying abroad supposed to be a difficult prospect. The senseless immigration that happens through diploma farms, that only increase the population of unskilled immigrants needs to stop. Like Canadian healthcare is on the verge of collapse, cuz u dont have enough doctors yet you want 200,000 more TimHortons workers from Punjab. While this is a great thing in general...\nIt doesn't benefit the country or the immigrants when things like housing and jobs and health care aren't in place to support this influx of people. \n\nThe thing is...Canada REFUSES to fix its own problems on its own. If the excuse is don't do this because of health care then when will the right time be? Canada's health care has been at dangerous levels for OVER 30 YEARS! A fair amount I have met have completed their degrees but are staying here in order to obtain Canadian Citizenship and of course our passport. Many of them will then leave here but they will be carrying a passport which is still usually well regarded abroad.\n\nEither that or they stay here and import the rest of their family, where they can continue to live as if they were still in their country of origin, but in better conditions. Let's see: Canadian landlords are out of control, completely unleashed by governmental regulation, renovicting and jacking rents to insane levels, people can't afford what little existing housing there is, and our government insists on adding a million people a year to the population, with no good-paying jobs available for Canadians, never mind the imports.\n\nStart voting left, people, because in case it hasn't become blatantly obvious yet, the Liberals nor the Conservatives are not looking out for you. It has been a vicious cycle, the Schools, the businesses owners and the Immigration Consultants, all of them taking advantage of the Government Immigration 'laws'.\nThey bring foreing workers on batches, because the Gov refund them 50% of their wages; so, for a restaurant owner is a good deal and I have seen them throwing CANADIAN's Resumes to the garbage because they need to demonstrate that 'Canadians don't want to work' ???\nSame with schools, they reclute International Students because they pay TRIPLE for the Diploma or Certificate; So the schools are selling Citizenships. The existing system seems to prioritize selling seats to international students, often at the expense of deserving local candidates, based on financial contributions. Moreover, dishonest practices, such as buying grades through online schools or bribing high school teachers, corrode the very integrity of our education system.\n\nAmidst these challenges, the lack of guidance from school counselors leaves Canadian students uninformed about strategic academic planning. Proactive counseling becomes crucial to enlighten students on the importance of enrolling in Grade 11 courses during Grade 10 and Grade 12 courses during Grade 11. This strategic approach empowers students to make informed decisions, strategically dropping courses for a better chance of success, aligning with the tactics employed by foreign students vying for available seats.\n\nThe current state of our education system is untenable, necessitating essential reforms. Every Canadian citizen student deserves the right to pursue higher education, liberated from the influence of financial gains for institutions. It is crucial to address these issues, highlighting the immorality and wrongness of pressuring kids to achieve a 98% for their future. Some achieving perfect scores may resort to dishonest means, taking cognitive-enhancing drugs, or being denied the opportunity to experience a normal childhood. This underscores the urgent need for a fair and accessible educational landscape prioritizing the well-being and ethical development of all citizens.

Why is this allowed to happen? Canadians should tell the government to stop this, its to many people!\n\nGet rid of the upper hand the government gives all non Caucasian and indigenous first access to all jobs and make it equal for everyone there is no need for this policy.\n\nForgeign and indigenous students have better access to education because the average canadian can no longer afford these tuitions.

Many Canadians are snobs they feel somehow entitled.... superior.... The country has no industry... Only real estate is the highest bubble in world... A country obsessed in English.... I agree with what was stated in this.\n\nI would be interested in hearing how Canadian students compare to international students grade wise.\n\n There's a disturbing trend of expectations on Canadian standards being lowered and lowered, teachers being unable to fail students, and covid made it so much worse. Reading levels for middle school have been adjusted to be that of fifth grade or lower.\n\n There are so many students GRADUATING from high school who can't read at a sixth grade level. They haven't seen the inside of a classroom except to socialize with friends. \n\n Why would universities want these students? So their failure or drop out rate can go through the roof? So they can show employment after graduation being low as these students have little to no motivation to work?

Canada has become so corrupt. It's also known Canada has become a haven for money laundering and all kinds of schemes like that. These colleges have turned into diploma mills. Their diplomas have no real value anymore. They are churned out solely because of money and it's flooding the market as well. \nHow is this allowed? \nCan you imagine how many Canadian Citizens are DYING because they have to fight against millions of new International students and new coming immigrants each year for a hospital spot.\nWait times at ER as exploded. Tons of new cases where Canadians died waiting for emergency help. They are starting to get stigmatized because all Canadians see is insane amount of Indians that barely speak English (that would be the immigrants not the students) and with a housing crisis and it affects Canadians. Trudeau and Liberals have to go and PP better not even TRY to keep this going.

They need to get rid of those consultants back in foreign countries who misguide kids to take up useless courses in those shady colleges. College/Universities needs to prequalify students before admitting them to a particular course and by that way it’s easy to filter out candidates based on the current job requirements. Having a territorial cap is just a smokescreen by liberals. Canadian economy doesn’t need more sandwich makers or food delivery drivers, be it be in Saskatchewan or Manitoba. “Most productive”. I believe so… I went to school with some people from Indian and they were incredible, very smart and studious. I loved them… but we should NEVER forget to put Canadians first. I know a lot of moms with older kids who are sending their children to study in Europe or in the US, because they can’t get a spot in Canadian universities. They were all born and raised here… :( Canadian are becoming “international students” abroad themselves because they can’t find a space here. This is a Canadian greed problem. Not the students' fault at all.\nOf course they'll come if we allow them to. And we are allowing them to.\nWhy?\nBecause the colleges are accepting them without adequate facilities to teach them (forget housing them). Some of these CANADIAN colleges are renting movie theatres.\n\nSo these colleges are basically defrauding these students, and the burden goes onto the other Canadians.

I totally agree that this country will break your spine and test your ultimate willpower. Me and my wife came here 5 years back and we decided that we will shut ourselves like a tortoise. Forget about savings and forget about everything else. Only and only one goal we had in mind is that we will live in the basement and earn top dollars. Just to give you a perspective. My first pay was 19 dollar per hour and my current pay is 87 per hour. My wife started with 16.5 per hour and now earning 69 per hour. Even though our income grew substantially, we never raised our expenses. Answer to all problems in Canada is income. Now after 5 years we bought house worth of 1.4 M. We moved out of basement and felt immense pride. We paid 37% down payment and 3 banks approved our mortgages in a heartbeat. No debt at all. We paid up our car in full. Just a regular new suv nothing fancy. \nEveryone is different, we all are unique and I believe you took a right decision. People around us thought of us as a regular poor couple but from inside we knew that we are earning in top 3% of Canadian population. \nI would highly recommend that understand the job market of Canada. Work on your soft skills. Power on the language is MUST. It is even more important than your technical knowledge. Make meaningful connections. Stay away from negative people. Many Canadians are snobs they feel somehow entitled.... superior....\n\n\n The country has no industry... Only real estate is the highest bubble in world... A country obsessed in English.... Fabulous video! US viewer here. But we often vacationed in Quebec’s Laurentians and our daughter went to Ontario’s University of Toronto for her undergraduate degree about 15 years ago. UofT was rigorous, to say the least, but she did it in 4 years, unlike some of her peers. She LOVED it, and made many friends, including internationals. They’ve stayed close on FB, and even get together (some flying in from other countries, including the Middle East and Asia) every 2 years or so back in Toronto. We’ve found the easiest way to make friends is by going to university or college together and living in residence, rather than once we’ve enter the workforce.\n\nThat said, and as unpolite as it may be, the root of Canada’s problems are exactly its politics. IMO Canada’s misguided liberal policies are to blame for its stratospheric taxes, cost of housing, increasing crime, tolerant drug culture, and deteriorating health care system. That Canada now encourages voluntary euthanasia to reduce health care costs should say it all. Margaret Sanger would be proud. And it promises to get worse as long as Justin Trudeau and his ilk are in power. His lionizing climate change intervention at the expense of what really impacts Canadians is sheer madness. Conservative Party Pierre Poilievre and like-minded politicians could fix it all.\n\nHappily, here in the US, the conservative movement is growing and energized. Once-liberal, especially ‘minority,’ voters are understanding how little the left really offers in the long run, and are switching sides. They’ll be voting for Trump in November.

I’d have to say I don’t live in Canada and I visited Canada twice for short periods of time\n\nWhat I do notice about Canada is that there isn’t enough employment for Canadians and many of them have to come or choose to come to the United States\n\nIn your case, you were a light skin, European appearing woman, and in Asia, especially Tokyo, you is very popular in the entertainment industry and people are willing to employ you for that look \n\nGetting back to Canada a lot of Canadian actresses And actors wind up, going to the United States for work specially Los Angeles, and doing quite well or Las Vegas, and other entertainment centers in the US because there is opportunity there where there isn’t any Canada\n\nI hate to say this to other Canadians but is backwater when it comes to economic activity it’s had some bright spots at certain times in the last 20 years, but it doesn’t last

I think you leaving Canada is a good move for you and your family. Why? Because it's unreasonable for you to expect an entire nation to change to accommodate your personal choices. \nAs an aside: If your faith in Islam so strong, profound and ingrained, why do you need a reminder to prayer five times a day? \n\nWhen you say you believe what you believe and others are free to believe as they want- why are you seeking to force your beliefs on others why wanting the call to prayer to be broadcast everywhere? \n\nI hope you surrender your Canadian citizenship when you leave and find the lifestyle you prefer in a Muslim controlled nation.

Let’s not circle the obvious here. These are the major problems in Canada that are greatly amplified and visible in the bigger metro areas:\n\n- Loss of economic opportunity due to the disastrous Liberal government policies of Justin Trudeau, with all the known bad social consequences.\n\n- Out of control immigration. Impossible for a country to absorb that many immigrants in a short period of time to make them productive and pay into the system.\n\n-Rampant and oppressive woke culture. If you disagree with it, you’re labeled anything from racist to transphobic. \n\n-Permissive liberal policies with drug abuse and mental illnesses.\n\n-Spineless Conservative politicians. This is changing, but boy is it taking long.\n\n-Canadian complacency and self-imposed politeness. The worst traits we have as a country. We basically don’t react to bad situations until the shit hits the fan.\n\nI’m hopeful for this country, but we still need to fall further down to do the changes we need to do.

The obvious way to fix all our problems is to bring in 100 million more refugees in the next year or two. Apparently Africans have built every empire the world has ever known. They've also invented everything that's ever been invented. How would we ever survive without them?\n\nPlus the booming refugee industry would make even more money and landlords could charge $10,000 a week for a studio apartment because those refugees don't care what things cost. It's Canadian taxpayers paying for it all.

I've lived in and around Toronto for a lot of my life and unfortunately I agree with you, but more particularly for the cost of living, which has truly become ridiculous.\n\nToronto has seen an uptick in crime in recent years, but it's still safe even by the standards of other Canadian cities, as Toronto generally has been. The crime is not in itself a reason to avoid Toronto.

As a canadian i never thoughg of living anywhere else vanxouver is so beautiful. Growing up govrnmebt started cutting programs and services in schools ans public resources. And kept doing it. \n\nNow they are removinf beautiful homes to build ugly apartments no yards .\n\nThere is not enough public space. Everyone is moving to the city. We use to be able to go to the beach on a weekday in spring and there was no one. Now its packes. To get to the bathroom was almost a block long. The bathrooms are small. Goos for population we has in the early 90s. We need somethings 4x larger now. \n\nIm ok with new comers but if they create a new community in the rural areas. We have so many areas up north no one moves to.\n\nOr lots of space to build new communities up north, not deatroy the current communities that already exist. \n\nWith all the new apartments there is not enough space for cara, no parking and no room on public transportation.\n\nSimply, the city cannot support anymore people. Its unrealistic. \nI worked with a girk who shares a 1 bedroom apartment with 5 other people and she still paid 1500 a month for rent.\n\nThis will soon be like america - run down, extreme poverty & homelessness. The homelessness has gotten so extreme.\n\nWages havw increased maybe 3x since i was a kid, but pricea rose eveey year.\n\nAs a kid we paid $850 for 3 bedrooms. When i mo ed to my first apartment i paid $800 for 3 bdrms. My friend pays $3000 now for a 2 bedroom aptt.\n\nThere are more crimes more thefts now. My old houae was 600,000 that same house is now 1.5 mil. \n\nI make 2x what i made 3 yeara ago ans things are even more expensive than, i have less now vs when i was making less. Ill never affors a house i can barley affoes to save.\n\nIm certainly looking at gettinf out of here. This country is going to trash
