God what a mess. I can see why Trumps putting Americans first- and it’s changing the game on immigration - so sad these people feel they need to leave their home country as they have no hope because their useless leaders are corrupt and dangerous - the UN and all these other big organisations have failed dismally and only serve the well paid bureaucrats who prop them up…. Look at the faces of those desperate people- heartbreaking. But America shouldn’t have to be their only solution.

I earned my permanent resident status back in 2001 and joined US ARMY during war in terror and served for 8 years. While serving, I was deployed to Iraq and Afghanistan in the middle of hot zones, dodging grim reaper's radar for many, many times. When I finally earned my US citizenship through military, I seamlessly transitioned into law enforcement career in New York for past 10 years, which I encountered with many illegal criminals with rap sheets- which some makes you think why they are still wondering in the street instead of locked up in the jail, having their freedom taken away. What is funny is that many of these illegal criminals have such an entitled mindset that they are deserve to be here in US without permit do whatever they want and enjoying these unbelievable benefits that these sanctuary city/state provides that we, us citizens don't even get- and we are paying for it with our hard earned money. I think I earned my citizenship with blood and sweat, same goes to many immigrant hopefuls that came to U.S with true American dream. It is time to take back our country and I 100% support with Trump's decision on this.

As an Pakistani American, Indians in the US do very well. The ones coming to the US are professionals mostly. The Indian community does not always mingle though. But in reality waiting 250 days for an interview is ridiculous. I sure hope this does not have something to d with incoming administration and racist dog whistles.

As a USA citizen, I am horrified by the stupidity, apathy, and disregard for collective upbringing in my country. A country founded on a peasent revolution, a country deeply rooted in diversity, enlightenment, and progression. Even 1% rejection on 100k Indian visas is a 1000 rejected visas. While a less populous country may have 10% rejection out of 1000 visas which is 100 rejections. All countries have a right to determine who they allow into their country with lower restrictions. And they are under no obligation to open the gates to anyone.
