The fastest way to get your ass kicked in Mexico is to blame Mexico for the drug problem in the United States. Because the Mexican people firmly believe, and this is 110% true, it is actually the drug addicts in America that destroyed Mexico. I used to live there and I know what I'm talking about - an instant argument will break out if you say anything about Mexico drowning America with drugs. Because it's like - what came first - the drugs or the drug addicts? Mexicans just can't figure that one out. Yeah, and this goes back a hundred years or more too.

To some Canadians…STOP BLAMING the international students, it is also the government’s fault AND the Canadian universities fault many of whom are GREEDY without thinking far!!! In France, Universities are free (no student loans required), food is better, transportation is MUCH better and Healthcare is MUCH MORE EFFICIENT than Canada!!! Why bother being scapegoated in canada when in some cases, Europe has better things!!!!

The problem that they are having is spiritual. A lot of people have rejected Jesus the creator of heaven and earth. God doesn't share his throne. Most are feeling quite entitled. My hat goes off to the young man who said they need to learn to assimilate and they are on a student visa. I am 110% Canadian meaning my heritage goes way back. I moved to Mississauga, On 13 years ago and just finally got a job of 16 hours a week in Home Care.\n\nHow many applications I sent to Wendy's, Walmart and Timmy's. The only people working in these jobs are Indians and Philipean'os. They take jobs away from Canadians but it is the government to blame.\n\nThey have no right to protest, they are not Canadian. They should be deported.

It’s interesting how politically charge anti-immigrant sentiment is blurring the lines between legal and illegal immigration and tend to showcase ethnic minorities. I wouldn’t be too surprised that the issue eventually becomes so overblown to include all visible minorities whom might be American-born yet targeted by the have-nots in white-America. This is akin to sentiment in 1942 Germany blaming the Jews for misfortune.

Us boomers are in part to blame because of our indifference to policies and practices that we knew would be detrimental to future generations; policies that primarily were created by the Silent Generation in politics. Then later indifferent to things like real estate agents shadow flipping and developers engaging in speculation and the corruption of spot zoning over the years to name a few. Also we were warned in the 90s about how the policies that stemmed from supply side economics and it BS trickle down strategy would inevitable devalue the earnings of our kids and relatively stagnate wages at times not to mention the younger generations would be squeezed out of housing if we didn’t address and curb those polices.\n\nNo wonder so many youth entertain the idea of leaving thier city, province, or country.

Don't just blame the immigration agents/consultants. The students are equally culpable in this scam and bear responsibility for this fiasco.

Don’t blame govt for tough rules you guys know how you actually came here - just taking advantage of Canadian immigration system fake students getting admission in school colleges ( Don’t know English but in colleges) fake visitors ( fake lmia from their relatives ) fake asylums . I understand traveling for years outside Canada for the last decade will put you far out of the Candian market. If you followed the traditional work-invest in Canada approach you might feel different. As a baby boomer, I am set and my nieces and nephews who have entered the market early, they all have homes. If you are just coming to Canada now, blame the Trudeau immigration plan that has overwhelmed the system. In 5 to 10 years we may have caught up, I will be gone but the current immigrants will be in good shape. Leaving now will just put you further behind in Canada unless you can find some place that will pay you an outrageous salary and no taxes. Good luck.

Post-secondary institutions are underfunded in Canada. The tuition they charge domestic students can’t offset their operating costs, so they have relied on international students, whose tuition they can make much higher, in order to cover the shortfall. Note that this is also exploitative of international students; don’t blame them, the system is not their fault. The government should provide more funding to post-secondary institutions if they want high quality and affordable education accessible to all Canadians. Cutting visas won’t change that, nor will scapegoating immigrants.
