Canada needs to put crazy amount of tax for owning a second+ properties for individuals and corporations in a way that it is no longer worth to purchase real estate for investment. You'll see how quickly people will start investing in businesses, stock market, etc quickly

The brain drain is real... My education was mostly paid for by the govt through scholarships and what not... but within five years of graduation I was being offered jobs south of the border that literally doubled my wage. Even if you don't like the U.S. its hard to turn down that kind of salary difference, especially early in your career before you have a family.\n\nAnother thing that was only partially touched on in the video is how many Canadian start ups get bought up by companies south of the border, usually at a discount. It amazes me how few incentives there are for successful innovators to get up and running that it takes such small amounts of VC money to buy big parts of their companies compared to their U.S. counterparts.

The only thing I see being built in Vancouver and by a massive amount are apartment buildings… businesses closing to build condos..

Shut all the borders, no one coming in for next hundred years, and now after 100 years there will be the same amount of homeless people, how do you dream otherwise to keep your house value up ? ? this is the problem of the system, and homeless people are just tools to keep things going.

big problem with the housing is also trudeau taking in so many immigrants and refugees before having enough available housing for everybody. I think they were taking in 200k people a year. while we need atleast 1million new houses within the next 10 years in order to supply enough to the population. There was also an issue with forieign purchases where people from other countries were buying houses in canada and nobody living in them. Trudeaus votes comes from majority indian people and arabic since thats a lot of the population in canada, and to win those votes and get more hes friendly with them accepting a lot of immigrants from those countries, its not a bad thing since a lot are very well educated and their peaceful people for the most part, but the problem is there isn't enough housing. Even renting has become competitive , owning is near impossible without help. Trudeau really messed up the country, houses are riduclously expensive and they often go into bidding wars if in a good area, banks interest rates keep going up now, loans are harder to take out, sadly we need to limit the amount of immigrants that come into the country until the right number of houses are built in the country, if anything new and major cities need ot be build in other locations with jobs in order to get more people spread out around the provinces. Once there is enough houses and jobs i believe the doors should be open to whomever wishes to come (obviously with a background check) but until then there should be a limit so the houses stop going up.

This cartoon fantasy that every single person has the exact same amount of skills to offer and has the same value and rights is destroying places all over the United States and has been and will continue to hurt Canada. You want people to have equal rights until you literally can’t ride your bike to work because of the amount of people on drugs and homeless on the street/sidewalk is to large to even cross by. The drug problem in the United States and in Canada is off the chain out of control and these people that support rainbows and Drake are going to continue to have poor quality of life in their home they have been living and working in. Which is what is really unfair IMO…

Have a look at the amount of money remitted by those who are working in the country. Australia is in the same boat. Governments reflect the ideals of big business.

Build towns that are surrounded by walls give them a small space to live and build factories. Allow these people to have a small check and live and work in those small cities say in the middle of nowhere. Make them work for 1 year in those places and as long as they do good not crime and show up for work and take care of there living space then allow them to become citizens. That way you weed out the criminals and non hard workers. In 1 year you will have a good idea of who should be staying. Also its them paying for there spot and contributing to the us economy. Once they become contributing members of society and they get on there feet out of each check they will take a small amount to pay for all the resources that were used to help them. Also I belive the majority of the ones let in should be women and the young children. If I don't get free help working full time struggling they shouldn't either. Let's make america a manufacturing power house like we're were in the past and the only reason we are a super power now. Also do the same thing for criminals and the homeless teach them worth ethic and how to follow laws instead of giving them handouts to go buy more dope

Remember when New York provided houses for the illegals? They thanked the city with using drugs, prostitution, violence, and throwing away good edible food and still demanded more. I'm for the comments here where many of us can't afford housing, struggle to buy food, and struggle in keeping our jobs. Adding this amount of mass illegals in masses at a time will speed our downfall. Traffic in neighborhoods are clogged as there's 2-3 families living in a same home designed for a family of 3-5, not 12-20 people.

The town I live in and grew up in when I was in school. We only had one campus, now here we are 18 years later and my one high school now has 4 different campuses to compensate for the amount of illegals that have overtaken my town. I have no prejudice whatsoever towards these people but they need to do things the right way and become real taxpaying citizens. Meaning going about gaining entry to this country and having a life here the legal way. You want to be here? That's fine welcome to the USA but just do it the right way is all we are asking you're not paying taxes. You're not putting back into the communities. The amount of money we pay to house them when Americans are struggling in this country already is insane . Why is it these countries have the audacity to think it is our duty to have to let them in ?

Save your own country first …we can only do so much for others… Canada also carries a mass amount of homeless people… we are very diverse, but what about our own citizens that are dying, mentally Ill, financial loss, elders,veterans, addictions. We-Americans CANNOT even afford to do anything with our Homeless Vets, Nor Our Forever Growing Homeless Population to begin with! .. Thus How can we afford Bombers full of unchecked Immigrants & Open Borders?? I get that most Venezuelans main objective is to get into the US, but they are literally invading all South and North America countries. Why are these people feel entitled to get here illegally and how come our government is turning a blind eye. And they wonder why people will vote for trump.

One of themajor rallying calls: immigration. The way media report on this becomes increasingly demeaning and hateful. During the 1930's much of the European media and even as far as the UK was ramping up the scorn against the ever increasing influx of Jewish immigrants coming from Germany. Even into 1944 there was a vast amount of demonisation of them seeking asylum, despite the knowledge by this point that there were horrific conditions in camps where extermination was becoming ever more apparent. The Nazi German government in 1936 passed laws that enabled them to revoke citizenship and stripped away laws on human rights. It would be great to say that these poor souls who were being demonised in their own country were accepted into nations who could see what was going on and who wanted to help, but that just wasn't the way it went. Media played out as it is now, leading to rejection and a greater number of deaths as a result of this. The way the UK government is currently working, it actually sounds like the maxi government of the mid 30's during the time of the Nürnberg laws. \n \nThe world feels far smaller now with double the amount of people and with things like social media playing a huge role in the lives of many. The ease of access to people around the world has made issues seem to stretch to far more countries now, whereas back then it was a time of empires. I get that there will be many here who support Trump, many who support Biden, there will be Brit's who support Sunak and the rather vicious words of Suella Braverman, whilst others will be more on the side of Starmer (I'm well aware of all the other parties but they don't stand to gain as much). There will be French people backing Macron, whilst others back Le Pen. We could go through each country all the way to the battle between Fujimori and Castillo in Perú, and the stories are much the same, but how will history judge us when people look back to this time? Will it be another occasion where we demonised those trying to escape the horror of the place they had the bad luck to be born in whilst we were luckier? \n\nI know there is hardship everywhere. I'm struggling more than most and I know I can't keep living this way. However, I don't want to be a part of history people look back at and say ‘if only they did something to help prevent this.’. I would rather be a part of history people look back upon and say; ‘that was a boring time period where nothing important happened’. It's already too late for that. Instead I try to remember that, though I was born into a family who never really wanted me, I was lucky enough to be born into a country that could support me during the hardest times. When you look at immigrants, remember that every one of us has immigrants in our family tree somewhere.

The amount of immigrants I see illegally enter and cross into El Paso are insane. I know this from living right next to it all. We are talking at least once a week seeing 8+ individuals at once or even more. . . Women, Men, young Teens and even children. . . They enter our homes to find a safe haven and flee from border patrol that is roaming the streets and it’s a constant battle of keeping your home safe from people that may or may not be good people. It’s unfortunate. My grandfather immigrated to the US from Mexico years ago and did so legally. He established our family here and any other relatives since have crossed legally and obtained citizenship. It’s a hard and long process but it’s necessary.

Something being overlooked is the amount of single chinese male nationals coming thru the southern borders from mexico. They land mainly land in el savador for its no visa requirement with China. From there, they make way thru the durian gap in panama and into mexico. Once in mexico they link with latin migrants attempting to enter America illegaly thru her southern borders

Without the corruption that stymies Mexico, Central and South American countries they would all be very wealthy nations with the amount of natural resources they all have.
