I live in the border and I see Venezuelan people everyday walking in the streets, with no house, or a car, just walking with old clothes and shoes. They want to get out of poverty and get a job and they are desperate. And me too.\n\nI’m a Mexican who has the American Dream too but I will cross the border in a legal way. Not like that. And my mother has a shop where the majority of our customers are from Venezuela and Haiti

I really feel for these people AND all Americans who are doing it so ‘heroically’ tough. The cost of petrol, food, medical expenses, housing and the list goes on. The wages ‘if you can get a decent paying job’ have not gone up enough to cover the cost of living. It’s getting the same in Australia but not with these scenes of forced entry. God bless America ?? + ?????

If the US Government would not do anything to stop this craziness, the American people would be doomed. Protect the United States of America. Else, you will become a third-world country, crimes are everywhere, difficult to find jobs, can barely afford food, more homeless, rough life. I came from a third-world country. It’s not nice. The Pro leftwing government of Venezuela wanted to renegotiate it's oil contracts with the oil companies operating in Venezuela so that greater amount of revenue would go to the Venezuelan people to improve their living standards, invest social programs that would fight poverty . \n\nAll the oil companies aggred except Chevron who then lobbied the US government to put sanctions on Venezuela. \n\nSo the US government used the predominant power of the USD in the world financial market to put crippling sanctions on Venezuela to ruin and destroy their economy With the hope that the hardships and poverty inflicted on the Venezuelan people would push them to overthrow their government and replace it with a pro US Vassal guy in power. \n\nThe Venezuelan government was able to hold onto power using all sorts of sneaky schemes, but the Venezuelan people's living standards collapsed and poverty and despair flooded that country. \n\nNow their people are heading to the US to find refuge as an act of desperation.\n\nNow Americans are complaining about them heading to the US and forcefully trying to breach the US border.\n\nAs they say\n\nYou made your bed, now lie on it.. You reap what you sowed, greater than you sow... You harvest what you planted. And eat what you cooked.\n\nEnjoy

America is not in the position to take in mass amounts of people. We are struggling with a homeless crisis as well as a work shortage and extremely high rental prices. Many Americans are losing their homes, their jobs, and can’t afford to put food on the table. America itself has fallen far from its former glory. Even for people who have been here their whole lives we are finding it hard to just live.

There’s nothing more ignorant then when people like this come to our country whether legally or illegally and then while living here they wave a big damn flag of their country of origin and talk about how great and awesome their country of origin is…..oh yeah? Then why did you run away from it? What a bunch of ignorant dumb assess…..if your gonna be here at least don’t be so proudly waving your country’s flag like if that peace of shit country did anything for you. Work hard all your life to give it away to some illegal who came here. Nothing makes me more proud than watching the govt take all my shit and give it to people who are really worthy of it. Who come from countries where thier govt makes it almost impossible to live so I would happily give all my material possession away to help like 9 or 10 Mexicans. Granted my house burnt down last week but the shirt on my back it's all yours I don't even need it in most states and local convience stores below the state of Virginia. What we need in this country is voters too. I mean all the people who died of covid who's going to fill the voter polls if the democrats don't give these refugees a free life. I'm certainly not going to sit around and let the govt tell us that we need a wall to stop anyone from going anywhere. I mean walls. They are just going to hop and a boat and come right over. Granted you may have to go through customs but that's what I'm saying you need to be able to go and do what ever you want in any country at anytime. Who's to tell me where I can and can't roam on planet earth and what govt agencies will or will not provide me with care for my unborn child. We need a revolution and it start with walls. I'm going to start with my bedroom wall. And work my way up the ladder. I say no to all walls. Even the ones in swimming pools. I say if your a red blooded patriotic American you need to start planning a trip to the border to tear down that exist racist wall that is keeping those south Americans, Chinese, Russian, and Romanian refugees from coming here with ease. The cartel may not be happy with this but we need to make sure that every person from any country no matter what the situation can freely cross any border at any time. It only makes sense.

We just had some illegal immigrant from MS13 murder and completely dismember a door dash delivery driver where i live. And now were letting more of the people from the worst places into our county. You forgot 1 major point-\nAt least here in Canada, we don't have to live in fear of gun violence. We don't send our children only for them to be massacred in their schools. At least our politics doesn't revolve around Jesus, guns and abortion (though our politicians are also crap). At least we don't have to break bad to pay for even simple medical procedures. In much poorer Spain, people still have universal education till university, good healthcare, good public transportation system and they don't have to eat the frozen crap most Americans eat. Spanish people eat fresh meat, fruits, cheese and vegetables and drink some of the best wine, despite earning much less than Americans and working astonishingly low hours. Moreover, their cities are livable, not like the concrete jungle of Texas. \n\nYes America is rich but DUDE, Its seriously third world, if you arent rich and successful.

Young ladies, the grass isn't always greener on the other side. The things you're describing, happen to many people in the U.S. I've never heard any stories of a Canadians losing their homes and dying because they didn't have access to healthcare. Many people in America die because they don't have healthcare. And a lot of Americans are sleeping on the streets and living in their cars because the cost of living is so high. So, most of what you're taking about is what we go through as well.

Some small criticisms.... Brain drain hasn't been a thing in Canada since you can't just cross the border and start working in the USA. Also, when you say that the majority of Canadians live within the American border, that does not include the Alaska border. the majority of us live close to the southern border.

Thank the Democrats for letting this happen. We cannot support the people we have now so how are these people going to get the help they need? I guess these liberal cities can keep taking them in since it's their policies letting it happen. I pay 11.5% of my income directly to pensioners as a contract worker making less than 50K in 2023. At total tax rate of 26% all inclusive. I have to live at home, and I can't find a single job that isn't contract work, and I'm a designer who's worked with F500 companies. The best Canadian rate hourly is 30$, my American contracts have paid 135$ an hour. It's such a bad deal to be a Canadian millennial. Canada has two classes. The ruling pensioner elder class which makes up 60% of the country and everyone else that they've impoverished. Canada has poor pay, worsening living standards, extremely high white collar competition, few job prospects and a disintegrating social fabric. But somehow I think this is the story of the entire commonwealth right now. So that makes us no different, and I don't really believe the grass is greener among the G7 either.

Yeah, I've been talking to a Canadian over discord for almost 2 years now trying to learn more about the country and what he told me was shocking. Canadian make about 25% less and pay 33% more in taxes then American and somehow a house in the middle of goddamn nowhere cost as much as a house in Portland. If you live in NYC, SF, or LA yeah you can forget about buying a house but its not like in America housing is unaffordable everywhere like in Canada. In Texas, you can get a big beautiful house for 300k, the catch being that real estate taxes is really high and you still be paying that even after the mortgage been paid off. Florida is affordable but hurricanes, Cleveland is really cheap despite a good reputation, and a house in the rural areas is easily under 100k. Canada pretty much have no houses under 300k which is made worse by the fact that they make less, taxed more, investment is harder + more expensive, and it actually hard to establish credit because they don't have looser standard like in the US.

$57/h value per hour are mostly white Canadians not the immigrants and colored people. Immigrants are making huge mistakes by coming here in Canada and living their good jobs back home. If US today stop investing in Canadian market, the Canada would become like Eastern European countries or may be South American countries. In Canada same goes for jobs. If local government post a job for cleaner then they ask some post secondary education???. Not worth to live here very expensive country. Only people having a good time here are government employees and politicians.

It's unconscionable that we've invited people to come to Canada without actually following through on the promise we made to them in the first place. Was it all just sloganeering designed to appeal to liberal progressive NIMBYers? Was there ever any intent on actually doing something for these poor people beyond a sound bite or photo op? \n\nThe solution to migration because of war, terror, famine and so on is not by opening up the borders and allowing everyone in, the solution to mass migrations (over 100 million worldwide) is to tackle the conditions that make such migrations necessary. Almost without exception, each one of these migrant/refugee situations are the result of political problems that have to be tackled in those countries where the conditions exist. There are over 100 million people fleeing conditions that make life unbearable, even if we wanted to, how are we to take them all into North America? How does anyone propose we do that, and even if we could manage it somehow, another 100 million would show up on our doorstep next year...or next week...it's simply not possible or reasonable to expect us to be overwhelmed by wave after wave of the poor unfortunate. The solutions to war and famine abroad can't be found here and we need to make it plain that people who live in such conditions must first rise up to help themselves. We can and should help, politically, through foreign aid and individual donations (North Americans are among the most generous donators after all), and even militarily where feasible or possible. The UN and other coalitions of nations, must each take up the burdens before people smugglers take it up for them. We have our own problems to deal with here and I'm not willing to vote for promises made that were never meant to be kept.

The American businessman wants Mexico up here so that they can underpay them. A long time ago these same companies tried to move to Mexico and there was huge backlash. So they brought Mexico to them. Now that Mexicans are trying to come here they're trying to keep them out because they don't need all of them. America rose to power by exploiting blk ppl.
