I’m a Canadian and my wife is an immigrant for Punjab and even she thinks this is all getting out of control. She came here to start a new life with me after we met and to get away from Indian culture which she thinks is now seeping into everything. In India it’s survival of the fittest, one must do everything they do and take advantage of everything in order to scrap by. Canada and the Canadian mindset isn’t equipped to handle that, so it’s no surprise you’re suddenly seeing Indians everywhere who are telling Indians back home how to exploit the systems to get more money fast. Hijacking what systems Canadians have to gain the social mobility that they can’t have in India but in doing so they’re making it like India. They don’t respect any other culture than their own my wife won’t even step foot in Brampton because it looks, sounds, and even starting to smell like India. And the problem is being exasperated because these people who are from very tight families are trying to bring their whole families too people who are elderly with no literacy or language skills to integrate into Canadian society to work and contribute to the economy so they just live off of their children who came first. I’m not racist all of my friends are international and are of one ethnicity or another and I’ve been to India and love the country it’s beautiful with amazing food lol, but this is getting too much out of hand and we’re letting in the most cut throat Indians in who will exploit everything and step on anyone to get on top. They won’t even respect Canadian laws and customs. We’re not equipped to deal with them

my biggest problem is most modern immigrants dont seem to care to become canadians, and uphold our standards and culture. they use and abuse our country, our resources, and systems, and overall make things worse for canadians who are born here, or have spent decades contributing. there aren't benefits to being a canadian anymore

This problem is unacceptable - they want to be here but they don't want to BE Canadian. They simply want to be IN Canada and Trudeau fell for it! Canadian here, I dont think immigration is bad during times of calm and prosperity. As long as we have the ressources to integrate immigrants into society, there's no problem with it.\nBut let's say that these days, the world as a whole isn't in a very good state. We alrealy struggle to house and feed our canadians, we can't afford to take more people that will clog the crappy health system and the rare housing left. It's completely stupid. All those immigrants cant get a roof and a stable job and this creates violence and shit like that. It's weird cuz im normally on the center-left but im getting more and more on the right

If you want to see what mass immigration from one culture can do, just look at Bramladesh, aka. Brampton. You want a drivers license, no problem, $300 and you pass. Truck drivers license, $800. Mortgage, bribe the broker/underwriter 1% of the mortgage amount and you can easily get one from a big bank even if you don't actually qualify. Rental housing, 2 to 4 students per bedroom, assuming they can get housing at all. Multiple people using the same health card. Multiple workers using the same ID. Three drivers per transport truck, one legal and two illegal so it can be operated 24 hrs a day. Just the tip of the iceberg as I'm certain there are many more scams/loopholes being utilized than I'm aware of. Many Indians are hard working, just trying to make a better life for themselves and their families, live in horrid conditions until they can afford better. On an individual basis I don't blame them, but when you import EN MASS, and they all live together in the same area, then the culture of that area changes to the one they are coming from.

The problem is not the quantity but quality of immigrants… one of my friends was just denied immigration. He have MSc and she has MBa. But the guy from some Asian country with no education was granted immigration status…

Same problems with mass immigration in UK, Canada, New Zealand, USA, Australia. The problem with most Canadians is that they are parroting the leftist rhetoric. I have chatted with many people that I met in the nearby park when my dog was still alive, but every time I tried to feel people out about their stance on immigration, they immediately began to regurgitate the brainwashed bullshit that the woke left had fed them. I only know a few people who have similar ideas, but it's nowhere near enough to start a movement. I'm an Aussie citizen as well. Thinking of moving back at some point, even though I know the situation is almost as bad as it is here ?.

First of all , Students are not the problem. The poor unpractical courses in private colleges without any attandance is the problem, another problem is refusees and govt. allowed the asylum refusees , so many tourist visa converted into work , israelies asylum seeker , are the problem , students brings almost $60-70000 and loan , sells property , but after study he remains unskilled coz courses offered to them are useless from most of the colleges. problem is immigration system allowed unskilled people , useless courses , PR to tourist visa holders. I honestly think some Canadians people have memory problems. 30 years ago Brampton was known as the town with the most Indians. Nobody complained. The cost of living and housing went up in the last 10 years and now all of a sudden people complain about something that has always been. The only difference is theres more Indian students. It's easy to blame immigration for all of Canadas problems. Sure there are a lot of Indian immigrants, however, they go to work, not bleed the system dry. Canada is a huge country, there should not be a housing crisis. However, some want to raise the prices of real estate through gentrification, stopping new housing projects. Taking years to erect a single building? What about the job scene? There is a monopoly in every field in Canada so no competition. Dingo needs to do more research.

It is True there are way too many Indian people living in Brampton. The big problem is that the new influx of immigrants don't want to adapt to Canadian Culture. They speak their own language and don't care to learn English. Even when I apply for jobs most of the time they want somebody who can speak Punjabi.

Colleges introduced fake or low quality courses with no future and immigration office kept on accepting the visas. \nIf only they were vigilant enough to see what the courses were about. I was told that in many courses, students are just studying online and working for full time. Part was legal work and part was on cash. \nY was CRA not active about the cash activities going on around canada ? \nAnd now govr has again introduced this permanent visa on arrival for caregivers. I came from France back in 2015 whith my familly when Harper was still prime minister at the time , really I'd say things have been really great , my family and I have worked hard to get to where we are today and have always wanted to give back to our community here but I am disgusted to see in 2024 what Trudeau has done to the country and to see that immigration is no longer as prestigious as it used to be. Unlike some people we have today, I had to wait 3 years with my family before receiving approval to move to Canada (after so many exams, appointments and waiting times). I did my middle school here until college and I'm currently still looking for work in correctional and when I see that people arrive here afterwards without being permanent residents, who are literally flooding spots at colleges/university and also jobs that are normally open for young canadians in their 15-16 (When I was in high school, my first job was at a McDonald's, and without exception, everyone there was Canadian. Today, when I go back to the same McDonald's for a cheeseburger every now and then, the entire staff is nothing but Indians) .As a person with an immigrant background, I'm the first one to say that there's a very big problem in Canada, and that current immigration, mainly from India, is no longer for economic reasons but to reunite families.(They do not, and will never, assimilate into Canadian culture.)Now that I've grown up in Canada for almost half my life, I'm already thinking about either returning to France or start over somewhere else if nothing changes.\n\nThe Trudeau government, uncontrolled immigration, dangerous idelogies from extreme far left idea, rising unemployment, and economic misery getting worse every day , gradually pushes me away from the country I love, Oh Canada.

A big part of this problem is the huge amounts of immigrants coming here. Our infrastructure and welfare, housing and job availability has been drained and taxes have gone crazy to support this nightmare!

Mass immigration from the Punjab are the cause for all of the problems in canada. Inflation, homelessness, housing prices, our falling dollar, remove all the immigrants they let in in the last 8 years and canada would be in far better shape.

Immigration numbers seem a problem because of pathetic macro economic and infrastructure mismanagement. I dislike most Liberals and NDP like every sane person but Conservative hasn't done much better in managing Ontario. \n\nWhen there is lack of business growth, when there is lack of policing, things get worse for an unemployed society. It's literally policy making weakness that makes a community a target, and divide people amongst each other. And for all the hate Indians get for living crowded (which I don't think anyone should for that matter, for life in comparison would still be better back in India), at least Indians aren't homeless, which in itself prevents a lot of them falling prey to drugs and crime. Check crime stats and you'll see the Indian community performing way better (as in less crimes) than many others.
