The American people love Canada… Please know that these reckless tariff actions are not supported by most Americans… not only do they damage the relationships of our closest allies, they do not work. They are simply a tax which is ultimately born by the American people.

Trump is 78 yrs old, has no possibility to run again and is adopting a scorched earth policy dictated by his massive ego. He doesn't care what the news is as long as he's the headline. I'm Danish - we have a big movement in Denmark to boycot American goods. The US has failed in so many ways. They will learn - perhaps to late - what the price is. In the mean time I urge people around the world who supports Ukraine, Mexico, Canada and Europe - who supports the right to freedom - to buy goods from each other. Lets join together with Japan, Australia, South Korea etc - let's show the US that YES, they were important - yes they WERE the leaders of the free world - but they lost the right to that title the moment they selected Trump for president again. Let's show them what real bravery is and what real freedom is!

We know why HE is doing this. He is pushing an imperialistic agenda, so he can be like those he admires. But we are setting up border security to keep American drugs, and weapons, and illegal migrants from coming into Canada. We're going to have to survive by reverting our trade to elsewhere, to depend on ourselves, to boycott U.S. products. We may be nice, but we are also tough. We love our society, our democracy, and our benefits. We won't give that up. Growing up, I lived in South Western Ontario, I used to go back and forth from Canada to the U.S. with no issues. Now, I'm sad to say, I won't ever be going to the U.S. again. Let's all hope for a brighter future for both countries.
