As an Indian student, i would like to share with you my perspective \n1) you will never see me dancing in public, blasting music and littering \n\nI actually spend my sundays cleaning plastic from trails \n\n2) i am a full time student for 4 years funding over 90 grand for a bachelor on top of that paying my taxes and paying 1100$ a month for rent being limited to 24 hours a week I do not work outside campus I work the job the college provided to me \n\nThe problem comes up when people use the 1 year and 6 month diploma program to enter the country and work here full time \n\nThey associate themselves only with indians mainly because they cant speak the English language fluently \nTherefore they associate with the exact people they associated with back home \n\nHow will they adapt to a new country if they hang out with the same people \n\n\nI came to canada with a goal \n\nTo make Canadian friends \nLearn about Canadian culture \nStart a new life \nAnd work my ass off to get my degree \n\n\nMost people move here to make more money \n\nThey sell their land and do so \n\nPlease do not associate hard working indians who adapt and leave their past behind with these people who have come here purely to exploit the system\n\n\nTrust me I know it's hard to hear this but good Indians do exist. I've been a landlord for many years, I've been through a few very bad tenants, out of 8 houses i rent out 7 have fantastic tenats, the one thats always late and is running down my property I've tried to evict for 5 years but he then catches up with rent and cleans up the yard and the cycle starts agian! I would say in my 20 years renting that only a very small percentage are bad but they can couse you alot of grief and money!

In Manitoba it’s a little bit easier but the RTB is such a drawn out process. \n\nYou need to have justifying grounds. Easy. They didn’t pay. You have to serve them their termination, with a minimum of five business days to vacate. This is where it gets tricky. You have to attempt at least 3 times on different dates at different times of the day. Usually around 7:00 AM, Noon, around 7:00 PM. If that fails. You have to pay to be allowed to post the notice on the door. After that you have declare they’ve been served. Then book a hearing which can take a month or more. At the hearing which can take hours or minutes depending on how well prepared you are, or how much the tenant wants to argue. \n\nOnce the hearing is concluded. It can take 1-2 weeks to get the final decision. If they’re told to vacate. They usually have 5 business days before you can involve law enforcement. Which then takes another week for them to show up. Finally the landlord can change the locks. \n\nExcept, the tenant can then file an appeal. And take the landlord back into a hearing which can take another month. If the tenant fails to change the verdict it’s final. Then you need permission from the RTB to send them to collections, which can then take months if ever, to get the money back.

Canada government should not bring any people for the next 4 years. And if they bring people they should stay other provinces for atheist 5 years not Ontario province specially TORONTO.

Man I love reading the comments in this video! We also face a similar challenge in other countries that housing is a crisis and governments keep bringing in all sorts of immigrants, from refugees to highly skilled people (like myself). I have switched 5 cities and the story either gets more worse or less worse. Half a year searching for a decent apartment? Some search for years! It's a full time job. The government gets back to my request after many months! Foreigners offices are packed with applications and citizenship is taking years long now. Getting a doctor appointment (psychological issues) within a year is hard, unless you pay from pocket or are in grave danger. We are being squeezed in here and they started new loose immigration policies to be more attractive to foreigners. Address the quality of life at the same time!

Basically these kind of things happen when the economy is starting to go south, more crimes and scams are coming as the situation get worsen. This new era of chaos begins back since covid time, and will probably last for this decade. Hopefully, i am all wrong on this. (c) From a global perspective, it is the rich countries, such as Canada, that pollute the most, both absolutely and on a per capita basis. Therefore rich countries should not increase their populations. Immigrants do not come to rich countries to be better ecologists than the citizens of those countries. Immigrants to Canada want to live like Canadians, as Canadians. The problem here is not that they will not assimilate to Canadian ways, but that they will. \n\n(2) Housing: with 500,000 new immigrants a year, housing starts cannot keep pace. The result: ever-inflating housing costs. Rich immigrants compound the problem. \n\n(3) Suburbanization: most of the new housing in Canada is in highway suburbs (over 80%), with their car-driven way of life. Once again, this is bad for the country’s ecological health. In addition, the result will be ever-growing geographies of nowhere. We will not be creating more Victorias or Quebec Cities. We will be creating more Surreys. \n\n(4) Downward pressure on the incomes of most people: the law of supply and demand is very simple: when there is a surplus of any commodity, that commodity becomes cheaper. When a commodity is scarce, its value rises. Labor is a commodity. Workers rightly do not want there to be a surplus of labor. Their livelihoods are threatened. \n\n(5) Future care of the old: the more people we add now, the more people we will have to take care of later, when their working lives are done. Adding immigrants now to pay for the care of the old is therefore a pyramid scheme. Eventually, in a generation or two, the population of the world is set to decline, and the well of immigrants will run dry. Canada should aim for fewer, rather than more, retirees – as preparation for that coming moment.

When I think about my time in Canada, it's bittersweet. I moved there for my undergraduate studies and spent 5 great years soaking up the Canadian culture. After graduating from McGill University, I had a tough time finding a job. I got laid off 5 weeks ago ( no renewal of contract).. after 7 years working for that NFP.. I applied for snap and unemployment… while applying for jobs( social worker field)… first, they ask for so many documents… including my bank account….( again I was laid off .. not fired nor left my job, nor finding reasons not to work all those years ), department of labor had a mandated zoom meeting to discuss what I needed to do 4 weeks after I was laid off( like i don’t know)… I ve been working for years and paying taxes… a lot of them in NYC, I was also told that I have to show what I am doing to search for work and eventually should take a job( even if the salary is low..ridiculous)… I was also informed that I may get a call from investigator from DOL..they may call individuals receiving unemployment benefits($441 a week after taxes?)… to verified that I was searching and applying for jobs( even though I enter my activities related to work weekly on their website…..)….. meanwhile… people with 0 legal documentation are entering the US and living here, free snap, free housing, free health insurance!!!! Lala land!!!! Can’t wait for this non sense to stop!!! Every corner of NY , you see families begging for money. Food…I feel bad as a human being, but refuse to help or I ll be joining them too… welfare system needs to change too! The politics NEED to change!!!All the best !

Why let doctors and dentists come to Canada when they are not allowed to work in Canada unless they spend 5+ years studying and giving licensing exams? Most doctors end up doing other things. Either fix the licensing system or change the immigration criteria.

There is no back check no education verification, those who cant even pass grade 5 test are being granted student visas, every aspect of immigration is a scam.

im a Canadian that is contemplating leaving Canada, car got broken into twice in the past 2 months here in Calgary. never happened in the 17 years i stayed here. mass immigration is fked up. it took us 5 years to migrate the right and some of these folks just walk in and get accepted

I'm always eager to engage with the community, but I found that many Canadians are reluctant to discuss politics or care about what is going on in their neighborhoods, and the voting rate in city elections are very low. A few months ago, I shared a city government survey designed to collect residents' opinions about the next 5-year development plan with some friends, but only one out of five showed interest in participating.\nI hope that more Canadians will take advantage of their democratic system to drive change and shape her into the country they want to live in. Apartments in my building have doubled in price in the last 5 years... DOUBLED. We were full with a waiting list last year, but this year the whole wing I live on is empty, except for a few suites. We know for a fact that a lot of immigrants, legal and illegal, either cram themselves 5 into a single room or end up homeless. Many small towns of 10,000 pop or less who never saw homeless people are seeing tents popping up, rising drug use, theft, etc.
