what about canadian born kids, who always get summer job to earn tution fee from entry level job, for their education? international students comes and show that they are finanacially capable to bear the study cost, they have no right to work , your visa has expiry date, means once expire you have to go thats meaning for expiry date...just finish study and go home, and apply legally again like how genuine people do...

I was born in ?? and at your age Alina I left Vancouver and moved to Europe. I too saw no future and no way of having quality of life there. In the past 20 years I have watched ?? just fall apart and get worse and worse and it breaks my ❤️. One has to choose where life will be best for you and then give it your all. For me, by far, it was the best choice I ever made because the life I have now would never have been achievable, especially in Vancouver. It’s sad how many foreign workers are taking all the restaurant, security, engineering and gas station/convenience store jobs. It’s annoying to be at Wendy’s, BK, McDonalds, A&W or a gas bar/convenience store and see a group of friends/foreign workers working behind the desk, then all of a sudden change their work jacket from (for example) Wendy’s to a Skip the Dish sweater and deliver the food they just made. That tells me the system is failing or people are getting paid cash under the table. It’s time for these big companies and the government to step in and stop this. There is multiple examples in my smaller city in a daily basis so I can just imagine how often this happens in bigger cities. Mean while local Canadian born and raised people and their kids can’t get jobs. Stop subsidizing these foreign workers at the very least or donor to all of us. That would put a stop to at least have of it.

It’s kinda like all the taxpayers in every western nation have to work and struggle while these people come in and get everything for free ..

I went to visit Niagara Falls last weekend after 6 years, I swear I thought I was in India. All I saw were indians, all I heard was their language, loud indian music blasting in cars, on the streets, everywhere. Me and my boyfriend were playing a game to spot other people than indians, because it was that bad. Dont get me wrong, I love multiculturalism but this is not proportional and it’s not right.

Unless it has changed. \n\nAlso, it’s IMPOSSIBLE to get permanent residency before graduation because you need Canadian experience (full time) for at least 1 year in specialized areas. \n\nOnly if you successfully complete your program you get the full time work visa per 3y. In this time it’s going to be possible TO APPLY for permanent residence. \n\nBut not only that. Canadian experience give you extra points in the immigration program, but also a Bachelor’s degree, or a master degree, work experience in your back country, English level, and age. \n\nI don’t know for certain countries if the rules are different, but as long as I know, it’s the same for everybody. \n\nWhen I came as an international student, I had to prove the college was paid, also show I had enough money to support myself for 1y without work. Also, the program at college that costs $4000/semester for a Canadian student, it costs $8-10.000 for an international student. \n\nMy work visa (during college) allowed me 20h per week working only. \n\nTo get my study visa approved I had to show intermediate English, money, work experience, Bachelor’s degree (I have also a master’s), and explain why I wanted to study in Canada and why that program was related to my current career. \n\nTalking about jobs; I have worked as a housekeeper in a hospital (on weekends). I was born and raised rural sw Ontario I farmed and worked in business. My business work has taken me across North America and travel to US about a dozen times a year. Honestly you guys are spot on, I try to say the same things to people and they don’t get it. I like how easy it is to say I'm Canadian. I'm sure if you moved to China or India you wouldn't say I'm Chinese or Indian. Apparently anyone can be Canadian. Your not Canadian your a Canadian citizen. We are multicultural but this is getting out of hand. They took over our country without any bullets. The new people to our country are mostly nice and are good people but it doesn't feel like the Canada I grew up in anymore.

Don't conflate hating Indians and an obviously unsustainable immigration rate. I'm a natural born Canadian, I'm pro-immigration. So long as it is managed and targeted at areas of need for the country. I never painted all Indians with the same brush when the food bank and Wasaga incidents happened. When you bring in 1.2M a year, you will get some bad actors. However, that's the issue, that many people, coming over in such a short period of time, the infrastructure and social safety net cannot support everyone. It's unfortunate, but necessary that immigration rate is reduced and reformed.

I recently worked in a fast food restaurant owned by a foreign national, to begin with there was about a half and half mix between the foreign students and Canadians, it was well run, nice place to work and we pretty much got along, suddenly the owner started advertising for help only in his own language newspaper, as the usual turnover took place all the new hires were of his nationality, students who were limited to 20 hours per week wound up working more hours than the full time workers which in my books left me wondering how much studying they were getting in, Covid hit, I asked the boss if he was going to sign up for getting us paid instead of laying us off, he said he wasn't eligible for that program and laid us off, after he laid us off he applied for and got on the program, suddenly names the Canadian supervisor had never seen working for us appeared on the payroll and mysteriously when we got back to normal and got called back they never did appear in our restaurant. I'm not a racist, have always loved working with other nationalities, but rules are there for a reason and need to be enforced, a lot of folks are taking advantage of our lax enforcement. If you want to work in Canada you should apply for the permit before you come, if you come as a student you need to be a student, if you come as a refugee you should declare that status before you get on a plane. When we have people living on the streets and in cars because housing is not affordable we need to question how many folks we are bringing in.

People should respect laws of the country, they are trying to enter. Why take risk of being stopped at the airport after spending their life savings to get better future in foreign countries. It is a sad situation for those who waste their money to migrate to countries with fake papers

In Vancouver, the home prices are skyrocketing, the personal taxes are almost half the income, the people are too busy to work to mingle. I don't like the thought that people can do supported drug use freely. It's beyond me to understand that. Why would a governemnt provide drugs for addicts in the guise of harm reduction? I was in Hastings 3 weeks ago and I saw the crackheads just blatantly doing drugs in the streets. A lot of used up needles are on the ground. There is a market of stolen stuff. It is quite scary to walk around. My son don't like it here even when he is born here. The kids are becoming cynical and angry for no reason. A lot just bully for fun. Prostitution is legal and rampant, you would think the young pretty girls are innocent but a lot are actually sugar babies. I'm in the medical field but I don't support euthanasia. I'm quite open-minded but not to the point of loosing my morals just because Canada is allowing it. It is also getting saturated with races with various beliefs. While I don't mind them, I worry that the tensions & clashes may become too close for comfort. In short, I think the country is becoming too expensive & liberated to raise a young imppresionable child in. Yes, we are also leaving Canada for an affordable, safer, more fun & happy place. It doesn't matter if it is not as progressive as Canada for as long as there is better humanity in the place...

With the premise that over the arc of 40 years we had two exceptional wonderful Indian family doctors, the current crop of immigrants are a disgusting representation of their country of origin! In which reality do they think it’s ok to defecate in public, be it at a public beach or in front of a pump at a gas station? Or rent a home designed for 4 people and end moving in 10 thereby destroying the property ? I could go on much longer, but I will stop here. I am sad about everything that is happening now. \n\nSad for Canadians and the new generation of students coming with improper planning. Some can't even speak decent English. Some are not interested in studying and getting local degrees. No solid long term plans. \n\nSome of them have no respect for local culture as you mentioned. Rude and unruly behaviour has become a common site in some areas. It is expected that most Canadians will come to detest all that. It's only natural. I can't stand it so how would they, who have never been exposed to that? \n\nDuring Covid, govt let students work FT, they let them come without asking for proof of sufficient funds to support themselves. Because of that, many people brought their families and the spouses were allowed to work as temporary workers. \n\nAll this was to be a temporary arrangement but people moved in droves without considering the possibility of things changing. They figured that between two jobs, however small, a family could survive. Sadly, not true. We already have a crisis at home and this made things even worse for the locals. There are low income families here as well. Things like Covid and the war has affected Canada badly. \n\nGovt failed to make it clear that the lifting of work restrictions for students was a temporary move. People also got carried away. In the end, everything has become a royal mess. As I said, it is a sad situation for both sides.

I am not an Indian but I am also an immigrant, therefore, I don’t hate immigrants. I don’t hate Indian. I have been living in Canada for 39 years now. I try my best to be a Canadian. What I’ve observed is that most of the fast food restaurants and the delivery services are now dominated by Indian. It seems like if there is one Indian manager in charge of a company he/she will hire mostly Indian people. I don’t mind who own those franchises but please at least maintain the original product and service. Don’t try to be “too smart” by lowering the standards to get more profit. Why are these people are issued visas if canada is not going to let them in?. Just deny them a visa. These people pay application fees, get a visa, pay for the flight and get denied entry.

In the past when immigration controls were stricter, the country attracted only highly educated individuals with decent backgrounds. While some less-educated people did manage to immigrate during that time, many of them were asylum seekers without much influence over the system. However, with the recent relaxation of immigration policies, a significant number of uneducated and less-educated immigrants have been migrating. This shift is contributing to certain issues, as these individuals often lack the language and job skills necessary to integrate into society independently. As a result, they tend to form concentrated communities, such as in Brampton. Additionally, various loopholes in the immigration system are making it easier for low-skilled immigrants to enter into the country. This is not a problem pertaining to Indians, there are others too, but they don't get focus due to their low numbers.

Even car insurance are too high when your address is in Brampton. A lot of multi culture people in that place that are reckless drivers. The city is getting worse bigtime.

I been to Canada 10 times over the years and Canadians were friendly and welcoming, not so much now and it’s not racism it is because the uneducated, uncivilised uncultured Indians and Khalistanis who find their way into the country through fraudulent means and run a muck . They don’t follow rules and regulations, they are always after easy money, get involved in crime, drug trafficking, gun smuggling etc. some of these so called students can’t put two words of English together are suppose to be uni students. The immigration dept in Canada has failed the Canadian people. Mind you there are lot of Canadians of Indian origin who are highly qualified and skilled who are model citizens of the country.

Int'l students are TFW with the expectation of becoming PR and getting a real job in canada.. The problem is there are no (real) jobs out there for them.. Its too competitive for Canadians as it is.. This is not inept governence its the C entury I nitiative and W E F at work.. Its intentional and its global. they know what they are doing.. Dont excuse these people by claiming incompetance..
