Toronto's biggest issue is spill-over into the rest of the Greater Horse-Shoe, one of the weirdest issues was at the beginning of the Pandemic, there was this weird mass exodus of the Toronto Population where everyone was moving to smaller cities to work from home, the costs of Homes in Hamilton, Halton, Burlington, Mississauga, Vaughn, Richmond all exploded is costs due to this. COL in these cities is now very high. Like the Average house in Hamilton now is about 500k-600k, Hamilton doesn't even have a Million in Population yet.

Housing prices are so high, it is so surprising for a country with big land mass but with very few population. @Make That Change - thank you for putting this together, very informative. My wife (who is Canadian) and I are currently living in UK and planning on moving to Canada in the near future. I am not overly concerned about weather, cultural differences or taxes (we are kind of used to that here in UK). My biggest worry is difficulty with finding a job and the fact that past education, experience and knowledge counts almost for nothing and you have to start from scratch.

Pun intended ;) \nI've lived in three different countries and soon moving to the fourth ie. Canada. Living in different places gives a broader view on society and helps understanding that nowhere is perfect. I think that immigrants' frustration primarly comes from the fact that we do not make enough research on what to expect when moving. You should write down pros and cons on moving, make sure you understand what are the most important things for you and check if that new country provides that. Watching videos like yours is a great way to start. It really comes down to what you want from life and if you are willing to adapt to achieve it. \nOn the other hand, Canadians' frustration might come from the fact that they never lived anywhere else :)\nAs for my top three things that disapoint me the most: Healthcare, Housing, Technology.

Actually as an Indian from the south, we assure you this is also the result of North Indians wanting to settle abroad under any conditions. It's their fault too. Indian quality universities are not increasing seats and continously raising the bar for admissions are another factors. As a Canadian now retired and living in Spain with my wife I will say I agree with some of your points but not all. I am so proud to be Canadian and will always be a Canadian. I'm a blk American born and raised and l have serious interest in moving to Canada. Since my people are from the US this is all l know so Im acclimated to the racial climate of the states. A lot of your cons are the same issues many face in the states. Taxes are crazy cost of living is insane wages are stagnant and you basically live to work. I live in Minnesota which is not far from the Canadian border but originally from New Jersey so I'm used to the cold. The health care system is sh*t here. Noone really has money to pay privately that's why our care is funded by employers. At the current moment there is also a shortage of medical professionals so often times you still have to wait months for appointments but you know what l would rather wait and have my taxes pay for my doctor then go into medical debt. My biggest issue with America is you pay all these taxes and reap nothing at least in Canada you can kinda see where the money is going.
