I totally get it, but they are looking for a better life. But they need to understand why America is the greatest country in the world. The problem with a lot of these people is that they would vote for the same policies in the same things that ruin their home country and they would vote for that here in America. If our country goes to ruins, there’s nowhere for anybody to run. They need to migrate here the legal way or no way at all. Most of them would work for five dollars a day that is going to drive the price of labor down.

Latin here, I came here legally but I can tell you that it was difficult as hell for my mom to bring me here, it took money and years for that, but I want you as a fellow citizen to understand their situation first, in Latin America you could be graduation from college and even with that having a good job it’s difficult sometimes, unlike here education in Latin America is not always something that all people can get and every time they vote for someone it becomes more trashier, housing for the poor doesn’t even exist, half of the country is corrupt and going outside you don’t who you may find, my brother needs to wait 7 years to become a resident (not citizen) he will be 30 something at that point, what the government should do is make the residency easier and I can tell you something like this wouldn’t occur that easily, my mom is a lawyer in my country and I can tell you the situation wasn’t easy, every three times a week there would be shooting outside my house, drug dealer was my neighbor, and at the age of 15 there would parents of two kids the sad part all this is normal, stopping it is imposible because it gets you kill, the police will kill you for doing a peaceful protest just to stop feminicide, wanting your kid to go outside without being scare something would happen to them, this people want peace and a job that is it and when your own country doesn’t even give you the right for that how could you live? Latin America is like living in the worst state in U.S multiply by 1000 and happening the same thing every day, riots or protest are imposible there because you know the police will never go the peaceful way, what this people are doing is wrong but they just want to live, it even surprise how much people hate their president here when in Latin America there hasn’t been any good president in decades. Before someone tells me something, like I say what they are doing is wrong and it’s painful to watch, something should not be happening in the first place but it is happening and I hope the situation gets better but like I say before saying something disrespectful or out of place to these people, understand their situation first

Canadas biggest problem is over relliance on US. If they allow themselves to trade with Asia it would be beneficial. Not only that if they stop being US bitch and let Chinese businesses in it might help them. They are playing a game where they will always loose. Canada need policies that incentivize investment from outside. Making Vancouver a tax haven (not for residential property but investments in business) if you invest in business you wont get taxed or taxes are competitively lower, something like ireland and give incentives for startups. 0% tax on startups and keeping low and competitive tax for local industry even later on would help. Vancouver has potential to become something like Singapore or Hong Kong. As of right now Canada has all the policies that discourage investment.

GDP from real estate is never a safe way to earn in the long run when u have decreasing manufacturing and small businesses. If people aren't making enough money from their job, how are they going to spend on houses? One doesn't need to be an economist to realize such a simple truth. Canada's housing market is a timing bomb with surplus supply and limited demand. New condos built in the last 5 years would have 1/3 rented out if they are lucky and there's no stopping of new constructions in the near future. What we need is to disband the Department of Homeland Security, and then to roll up the Border Patrol,Customs and Border Protection, and Immigration and Customs Enforcement with the United States Coast Guard into a new Armed Forces branch that I'd call the United States Border Guard, which would have military jurisdiction over the borders, the coastlines and the airports.

I think Canada economy is not as flawed as this video propose. Instead I would say that Canada as develop a strange equilibrium by surfing on the American economy. It does not need to take risk : to be entrepreneurial, to pay for research.
