How many are crossing from the US to Canada? That's a number I'd like to know. I'm sure it's a significant amount.
2025-02-24 0
In the fiscal year 2024 (October 2023 to September 2024), nearly 200,000 people were stopped by U.S. Border Patrol while crossing the border from the United States to Canada. This is a significant increase from the previous fiscal year. \n\nIt seems that it's a two way street. How come nobody talks about that? Don't take me wrong. I am pro-Trump Canadian, but fair is fair.
2025-02-23 0
See, it may be the longest land birder, but north of that border there is no infrastructure for like 95% of it.\n\nThat means trekking across open country. Not easy especially in winter snd ug your carrying any significant amount of belongings.
2025-02-23 0
Totally neglected to mention the significant rise in unauthorized crossings from the U.S. into Canada. You need to increase your border security as much as we do hypocrites.\n\nIn February 2025, Canadian authorities intercepted groups of migrants attempting to cross the border from the U.S. in hazardous winter conditions near Alberta and Manitoba.

Despite being the 5th largest economy, India still faces significant challenges in wealth distribution and visa compliance. While economic strength is a factor in visa approvals, it is not the only consideration. One major issue is visa misuse and overstaying. With a population of 1.4 billion, even if 10% were to overstay in foreign countries, that would be 140 million people—almost half the population of the United States. This creates serious concerns for immigration systems worldwide, leading to strict visa vetting processes for Indian applicants.\nFurthermore, while India’s economy is large, the majority of the wealth is concentrated in the hands of a few. A high GDP does not necessarily mean the average citizen enjoys financial security. Many people seek better opportunities abroad, sometimes through illegal means, which further justifies the need for stringent immigration policies.\nAnother issue that affects how Indians are perceived abroad is the behavior of some tourists. While not all are at fault, a growing number of incidents involving disrespectful behavior, disregard for local laws, and unruly conduct have led to Indian tourists gaining a negative reputation in some countries, including Nepal. This has made them among the least desired tourists in certain regions.\nUltimately, visas are not just about how much money a country has. Factors like overstays, illegal migration risks, and tourist behavior all play a role in shaping immigration policies. Respect and reputation are earned, not entitled. If you want to be welcomed and respected abroad, it’s essential to create a positive impression through responsible actions and cultural sensitivity.

Cry me a river!\n\nIf a significant portion of the U.S. population attempted to illegally reside in India, as example, we’d be called colonists

We just can't build a wall for the whole huge Canadian border. Also, they are still crossing over the Mexican border state of the art wall/fence with ladders. The ONLY solution is to have a huge border patrol force that will be guaranteed to catch and arrest all illegal aliens. Then, the illegal aliens will be either instantly deported after paying a significantly large fine to the US Treasury OR if they cannot or won't pay the fine, sentenced to a dentention camp for a set length of time as a punishment, maybe one year of hard labor and minimalistic amenities-that is, NO MORE EBT cards, no more lux hotels. Once their detention sentence is completed, they will be quickly and efficiently deported to either their own country of origin or Canada or Mexico. IF it's done right, I don't think there will be many repeat offenders.

I am a Canadian in Alberta and the reality is that the Liberals have weakened the Canadian economy and our standing in the world. Their decision to cripple our oil and gas industry and our lack of ability export our products elsewhere in the world is an issue created by the policies of the Liberals. To impose a carbon tax and further weaker the average Canadian is terrible. There are some policies I don't like out of the U.S. but the reality is that it is never an idea to pick a fight with the toughest kid on the block knowing you will lose. Trump doesn't even want the tariffs he wants Canada to pull it's weight in defense spending and cooperation. Trudeau backstabbed Trump in the past and that won't be forgotten. We need a new government with a leader that understands more than being a drama teacher and snowboarder. Unfortunately, most of the significant issues Canada faces is the result of self inflicted wounds resulting from incompetent leadership. We didn't have anywhere close this level of issues with the Harper government. We are lucky to have the U.S. as a neighbor so let's do what is good for both nations but there is no way the woke Liberal's can do it.

They think their tariffs will do a thing? US is their largest trading partner not the other way around. It will harm them significantly more than it will harm us. Prices may go up a dollar here but an equivalent of 100 dollars there. Trudeau and the wicked witch of the south will back off and listen to their master soon enough just like Colombia.
2025-02-02 0
I don't think the average viewer knows why the US is doing this. They're trying to combat illegal immigration and fentanyl as well as Mexican compliance with the drug cartels.\n\nThe reason tariffs are being used is because America is in a very powerful position when it comes to trade. The american economy doesn't rely on trade like Canada (67%), Mexico (73%) and China (37%). American trade accounts for only 24% of its massive GDP. if you removed all trade from america, it would still have larger economical output than china, mexico and canada COMBINED. yes. Combined. \n\nFurthermore, Canadian trade with america account for almost 80% of all trade in canada. A 25% increase would be absolutely devastating to canada. In america its about 13% so a 25% increase would cost more but it wont have any significant impact.\n\nNo doubt this tarrif war will cause far more problems for canada mexico and china than america. By a LOT. \n\nI dont think america is being selfish either. China does nothing to protect america from sending precursor chemicals to america to manufacture fentanyl. Canada facilitates illegal immigration and fentanyl into america with no accountability. And mexico is illegal immigrants by the MILLIONS and is literally working with the drug cartels. If they sort out those issues the trade war ends. \n\nI think america has every right to go to war to protect its sovereignty and its people.

With reciprocal tariffs of 25%, the US is the winner, having a trade deficit of about 55 billion dollars in 2024 with Canada. That is, exports of Canadian products to the US are significantly higher than imports of US products to Canada.

Australian here. The US ranks alongside China as an unreliable trade partner, and I think it would be a huge risk for countries to assume that the US would honour any security pacts.\n\nAll branches of US Government are corrupted:\n\n1. Supreme Court - what would happen in your country if a justice of the highest court in your land was found to have accepted millions of dollars in financial benefits from a billionaire with business before the court.\n\n2. Whitehouse - a convicted felon is currently the President and he is supported by people who can’t even convince him the reality of who pays tariffs.\n\n3. House of Representatives - name one piece of legislation of significance that has emanated out of the House in 4 years? How many ridiculous fishing expeditions have they pursued for the sake of political gain. Responsible for withholding aid to Ukraine for months.\n\n4. Senate - confirmed the appointment of several cabinet members devoid of the requisite experience for their role, including an ex tv host to head up Defence who has issues for alcoholism, fidelity, was head of a veterans group charged with financial mismanagement, is accused of ra8e, and has white supremecy tattoos on his body.\n\nNot a country you can rely on.

Trump really doesn't get it that a significant portion of America's prosperity comes from the longest undefended border in the world.
2025-02-02 0
Typical Americans and Trump. Sign a free trade agreement and then when you feel like it just violate it for your own interest. They only play by their own rules. If Canada violated the agreement they would all over it. A while back they tried to nail Canada with 4 billion in softwood lumber tariffs in that they claimed Canada violated the free trade agreement, which they did not. The arbitrary trade council which oversees both countries ordered the USA to pay back Canada the 4 billion. The USA never did. Trump claims Canada treats them unfairly yet they are the ones who violate the agreements. They are the poor trading partner. Canada should trim the exports to the USA significantly and find alternatives. Just cut out the corrupt Americans led by a convicted criminal.

The single most significant threat to world peace, stability and prosperity is the American voter.\n\nIf I was to advise the Canadian government, I would cancel all current and future contracts with American defense Corporations and sell off all American-made military hardware from Canadian stocks and re-equip with European military hardware and South Korean Tanks. Canada could make excellent use of the Saab Gripen.

Instead of addressing the issue, Justin intends to adopt a confrontational stance by imposing tariffs once again. His election holds greater significance for him than the well-being of the people.
2025-02-01 0
This is the Copilot AI answer to this matter- The 25% tariff imposed by Canada on U.S. goods could lead to significant job losses in the U.S. economy. While exact estimates vary, some analyses suggest that the U.S. could lose up to 1.6 million jobs due to the combined effects of higher prices, reduced exports, and supply chain disruptions... This would be a substantial impact, affecting various industries, particularly those heavily integrated with Canadian markets, such as automotive, agriculture, and energy.

I'm a gas station oil purchaser and we just got the call on prices expecting to rise significantly Tuesday. Get ready everyone, this won't be good.\n\nStock up on food and gas if possible now. It's going to keep getting worse as other countries join in on retaliation. Remember these countries are only fighting against us while we're fighting against all of them. Canada and Mexico should seek opportunities beyond Asia and Europe to establish a significant trade agreement.

Could Donald Trump be following in the failed foot steps of Bibi Nutanyahoo of Israel or Adolf Hitler wirh his immigration/ war policy ? \nNo body is sure but do not self-deport from the United States because of fear.\nNevertheless, it appears that President Donald Trump has to start a war to protect himself from serving jail time or paying a multi-million dollar fine for his crimes. Therefore, upon taking charge of the United States government, on January 20, 2025,, he will try to:\n1.Replace United States generals in the military that he can not totally trust due to their allegiance to the Constitution or other laws.\n2, Remove a significant number of undocumented migrants and try to secure the Mexican border against threats to his Administration.\n3. Order the United States military, in the Summer of 2025, to take control of four Mexican provinces next to the state of Texas: Nuevo Leon,Tamaulipas , Coahuila and Sonora.\n\n4. Order the United States military to attack Iran and China
2025-01-31 0
President Donald Trump has stated that he will improve the United States economy with massive deportation of undocumented migrants\n, layoffs of government workers , deep cuts in social security benefits for disabled citizens or the elderly , and reduction of medicaid . \n However , a significant number of Americans are unaware that Trump is also planning to reduce the taxes for the rich , and give billions of more money to Israel or engage in unwinnable wars in West Asia . It should also be noted that Trump's theories to make America great again will have a disastrous effect on the economy or on life in the United States, especially because he is also about to start a trade war by significantly increasing tarrifs or duties on imported goods and products from China, Canada and Mexico \nAs a result, the Trump plan for the next four years may simply make America poor again.

Actually to tell you the truth, the cost of housing is about equivalent or a little cheaper when you do the currency conversion, in Canada and the United States. Toronto and Vancouver (which seems to be the primary examples here) are significantly cheaper than New York but the most expensive in Canada. This post is way over the top, exaggerating the situation in Canada.

MTG has done far less than this person and looks more like the opposite sex. If this person is not fit to be in the forces then MGT most definitely should not be a politician because it would be an additional thing to her already significant state of ineptness.

I believe that the relationship between a Country and its citizens is much the same as a parents duty to their child. Governments have a DUTY to care for the safety and well being of their citizens. I would like to see a UN declaration stating that governments must accept their citizens back into their borders. And that the home country must reimburse all those governments and organizations that fed, clothed, transported, sheltered and rendered medical aide to their citizens. NO COUNTRY must be allowed to dump their citizens like trash at the side of the road. These are THEIR CITIZENS..IT IS THE HOME COUNTRY'S DUTY TO TAKE CARE OF THEM up until the time they are LEGALLY granted citizenship elsewhere. This application process can be done while the person is still in residence in their own Country. It is EXTREMELY DANGEROUS to take the illegal route. Thousands of people have died in the process. This must be stopped by every Country along their route. We have a humanitarian crisis of global significance here..child trafficking, drug trafficking, violent gangs and organized crime all abuse illegal immigrants. If it was your child....what would you do?

3:17 in general? lol you forgot Texas tea!\n\nColombia’s highest-grossing export is crude petroleum, accounting for a significant portion of the country’s export revenue and the United States is their largest importer. \n\nUS imports its Bananas avocados from several countries. Columbia is fifth on that list.

America has significant power in the world. I'm glad to see our government using that power to defend American people rather than the royalty of other nations.

Adding a tarriff isn't going to have a significant change in prices for their products. That's because they are not the sole provider of said products.\n\nAny modest price increases will be for replacing their supply with other sources.

Trump is full of BS. Why didn't he put tariffs on Mexico. They also refused to allow those flights to land in Mexico. He is picking on a country where trade is not really significant.

I always keep upto date with FP news but this was so biased and failed to address the issue fully and accurately. Firstly, the economy of India or the foreign policies of India has little to do with the power of the Indian passport. According to that logic US, China and Russia should be the top 3 in the passport ranking - but it is not. @3:35 The logic is visible and the west does not need to explain it. It is the quality of the people visiting the western countries. There is a significant number of Indian citizens who would migrate without the intention to return. This fact unfortunately affects everyone holding an Indian passport. FP also needs to see that middle class in India is not at a middle class standard worldwide. I presume those countries which has slightly stronger passport than India has populations which are a tiny fraction of those wanting to travel with an Indian passport.

The situation in Canada has become deeply unbalanced due to the unchecked influx of Indians into the country. This issue isn't about discrimination but about preserving social and cultural harmony. The overwhelming numbers have led to significant changes in the demographic and cultural fabric, and it's evident in how certain communities now dominate areas of public life. The government must take immediate action to address this imbalance, including significantly reducing the number of incoming immigrants from India and considering the repatriation of some to restore a sense of balance in society.
2025-01-22 1
Blaming immigrants for systemic problems is often misplaced and unfair. Immigrants who work hard and contribute to society, are not the root cause of challenges such as housing shortages, healthcare pressures, or job market competition. These are complex issues stemming from broader systemic factors like government policies, urban planning, and economic strategies.\n\nImmigrants play a significant role in strengthening Canada’s economy. They fill labor shortages, contribute to innovation, and enrich cultural life. However, when governments fail to address structural issues like insufficient infrastructure or support systems, it’s easier for some people to scapegoat immigrants rather than look at deeper causes.\n\nThank God I left Canada in 2022 ... It's not the right place to settle...
2025-01-22 0
Canada needs to pause immigration for now as the overwhelming numbers have diluted Canadian identity. The excessive immigration policies, driven by the Liberal government, have had a significant impact. This isn’t about racism, but the sheer number of Indian immigrants has created an imbalance. To preserve Canadian identity, it’s essential to halt Indian immigration for at least the next five years.

I was surprised that the video didn't mention the scam involving low-skilled labor from the UAE. Many companies and brokers bring thousands of low-skilled, low-educated workers on short-term visas (as short as three months for two years of employment). These workers often end up being misled and become illegal immigrants because companies prefer to pay the fine, which is cheaper than a two-year visa. Additionally, these companies often retain the passports of the workers, preventing them from returning to their home countries even if they wish to do so. This practice severely impacts the workers and contributes to the bad reputation of the Indian passport, as statistics show an increasing number of Indian passport holders not respecting visa durations.\n\nThe UAE is home to over 3.89 million Indian expats, constituting over 37.96% of the country’s total population. Reports indicate that a significant number of these workers do not respect the time limitations of their visas, further exacerbating the issue.\n\nI do believe, as this is more likely to affect the situation than any conspiracy theories.

Here's a refined version of your message:\n\n---\n\nThere is a significant number of Indians in Australia and New Zealand, many of whom initially arrived as international students and chose to stay. This has contributed to a rise in house rents and increased difficulty in finding accommodation. With a population of 28 million, Australia sees a high presence of Indians, who often fill many job positions, making it challenging for citizens to find employment. The Australian and New Zealand governments are partly to blame for issuing visas without expanding housing and job opportunities to accommodate the influx of visitors, students, and immigrants.\n\n---\n\nI hope this helps. If you need any further adjustments, feel free to let me know.

True! West won't answer your question but You too are hiding significant details in this video. Also true, West relies in Indian talent however that does not mean the talented ppl should be above the social construct. In US DFW airport as soon as you exit the airport premises you will start smelling awful odor, walk few steps ahead you will see the reason, all the poles are covered with a grainy red paint like stuff, which as a proud Indian, you would definitely know what it is. Its not like the administration don't clean the place, however, it is still in that condition. This is just 1 of many reason why Indians are being looked at as nuisance these days. Also, what is with Indian mindset to turn everyplace into India, yes culture, tradition and diversity should be welcomed, accepted, and tolerated but if your behavior borderlines with colonizing then, things will head south very fast and that is what most of the Indians do. And finally, what is with Indian behavior, if they are treated with respect they misunderstand it with being submissive and try to dominate the people that are being respectful until they are shown their place and if they are misbehaved then they act as if they are being discriminated. So as a media person, it would be a good thing if you publish a video telling Indians to learn ethics, learn social sentiment, learn proper behavior, and most of all learn to quit back-stabbing behavior before they leave for other countries and I believe in a decade or two these misfortunate events will slowly start to decline.

They rank countries not only based on the size of their economies but also on the behavior of their people. Palki believes India is a superpower, but for the West, it is seen as a developing country with many people lacking proper behavior, ethics, and hygiene. Indian media needs to understand that respect is earned, not demanded or forced. Many Indians I have met in foreign countries tend to boast about their homeland while choosing to live in a developed country without fully integrating into the local culture. This plays a significant role in the rankings.

1. Don’t Litter ?️: Public spaces are not personal trash bins. Strict enforcement and awareness campaigns are necessary to keep our surroundings clean.\n\n\n2. Maintain Decorum in Public ?: Speaking loudly in public places disrupts others. Let’s promote respectful behavior in shared spaces.\n\n\n3. Regulate Loudspeakers ?❌: Public areas are not meant for private celebrations or loud music. Clear rules must govern noise pollution.\n\n\n4. Private Celebrations, Private Spaces ??: Family events and festivals are personal affairs. They shouldn’t disturb neighborhoods with excessive noise or inconvenience.\n\n\n5. Environmentally Friendly Festivals ?✨: Celebrations should not harm the environment. Sustainable and eco-friendly practices should be encouraged for festivals.\n\n\n6. No Spitting in Public ??: Spitting in public spaces is unsanitary and disrespectful. It should be treated as a serious offense with heavy penalties.\n\n\n\nImplementing such basic civic guidelines ? can significantly enhance our societal standards. Only after addressing these issues can we expect improvements in global perceptions and rankings.

Things not mentioned in here are that number of people applying for foreign visas have increased significantly and number of visas accepted are relatively same. Which is why rejection rates looks like it’s gone up ? I’m disappointed with Palki Sharma. There is lot more bias here vs when working in Gravitas

The process for Visa and the backup documents is pretty transparent and available at the country's or VFS website. I have been travelling to Europe and my visa has not been rejected. But I still do see a lot of people not understanding the process, documentation required. The documentation is usually about proof of stay, proof of travel and proof of financial strength. Please do not talk about the 5th largest economy. We are 143rd in GDP per capita. Among the illegal immigrants into USA India ranks third, to the UK it ranks 9th and is a significant number into the EU. With immigration a hot topic in the west today, this was inevitable.
2025-01-16 0
Regardless of many reasons for rejection, we as a country shouldn't turn blind eye to illegal methods to obtain visa or illegal immigration. We can't deny fact that racial prejudice is significant while giving visas.\nEnd of the day, its the sovereign country's right to let anyone into their country.
2025-01-16 0
It is surprising they still give out millions of visas while a significant number of travelers abuse the system! Rest of the world also does not want illegal immigrants/visa abusers the same way India doesn't. They might reconsider their rejection if India offers free deportation flights to back home for the millions of Indian illegal immigrants around the world and do a better job of screening potential abusers at the emigration step.

Google says the average cost to have a child (give birth) in the USA is $18,865. This would translate to $27,207.10 CAD at the time I'm writing this comment. Basically, a year of minimum wage take home pay. Very few people would find that amount of money easy to deal with.\n\nIn Canada it's not only free, but the government pays you monthly amounts if your income is less than what they deem enough to provide for them. This amount can be significant and continues until the child is 19.
