As someone who had to take the English assessment to attain the PGWP, I complained so much because I didn't come to Canada not knowing English, and I certainly did not graduate without the ability to read, write, listen and even present business cases in English. It pissed me off at the time cause he costs hundreds of dollars for something I was assessed on before even coming to the country. Did they really think my English got poorer after 3 years in the country? \n\nBut I totally get your point why its needed now with the way things are. However, in the long run, I think reforms should be made at the student visa level. Canadian and other international students who worked hard to get into uni don't need a deadweight that cant speak the official language of the university and contribute meaningfully. Forget contributing to Canadian society, would the student himself learn anything?

The problem of Canada is not migration or international students. International students bring millions of dollars to the country. They pay fees 3 times higher than local students. The problem is the economy, provinces, municipalities, private sector and professional newcomers are unable to build houses, apartments and provide services for more than 1 million of newcomers per year. I've been replaced 4 times by foreigners. I worked at Amazon and the entire huge warehouse of hundreds of people was only East Indians with only me and 3 other white people. I worked at Ballard and the entire production floor could not speak English at a elementary school level and was replaced by a guy from Iran who had never been to Canada and was in the country for 1 month. All the shift mangers were from Iran and my section was only Iranians, East Indians and Chinese. I was the top production worker by far doing the work of 4 other workers proven by the actual numbers in an attempt to keep my job but still got removed of course to make way for more Iranians because it was obviously a way to bring their people here. Zero locals were in the entire production floor. I can not have the dignity to own my own home and never will be able to even though I grew up here went to collage and university and worked hard. Rent is beyond insane and they raise it the maximum legal amount every year which is huge. All my life I had to bow down to foreigners. The locals have lost their homes and can not buy another house or could never buy one and never will be able to. All are slaves to foreigners who think they are superior and treat them like garbage. The foreigners get help from the government somehow and get loans they never should be able to get because they have crooked contacts in the Chinese owned financial institutions. They then build 5 to 10 unbelievably horrible illegal suites and that is where most of the locals now have to live in. The neighbourhoods went from a very low population of Chinese and East Indians to insanely high levels such as 98 percent. There is no sense in complaining to any government body because the Chinese and East Indians have infiltrated those key positions and always side with their own kind. The legacy news/media is fully aware but are owned by foreigners and never will talk about these issues. Canada has for sure been invaded and taken over and is lost. No one is bringing it to light and worst is no one is trying to fight it. Any attempts you are labeled as a horrible racist.

It's Not enough and this was Not Fair! We came here in this country and vetted for 6 years by Immigration and all proper education requirements met. My mom worked so hard to be able to come into this Country when I was 14yrs old, there were Rules and Criteria. Now, it's all a Joke. People can come into Canada without proper oversight and Money works. As long as you have huge sums to pay, they let you in, easily, 3months you get Permanent Resident status, we worked hard for 6 years, even doesn't matter if you're a criminal from back home, they let you in, as long as you have money. I am so sorry, as a native Canadian, that Indians are feeling attacked. The government quadrupled immigration, hundreds of percents increase in students, asylum seekers, and illegal entries, even though there was already a housing crisis, and a completely predictable doctor shortage due to aging out. Covid was just starting to get under control but many still needed treatment and BOOM, the population went from 30 million in 2014 to over 40 million in a decade, most of it in the last 3 years. We native Canadians are scratching our heads, we don't understand what the Liberals are trying to accomplish but to create suspicion and racism between groups of people -- divide and conquer? I have lived in 3 diffferent countries for significant periods of time (4 years or more in each). I have been in Canada for 8 years now. I do not see any racism here at all. I mean nothing. My son lives in Victoria in the top floor of a house in the beautiful Gorge neighbourhood: 1400 sq.ft., 2 bedrooms all utilities included for $1800. My sister has a 3 bedroom townhouse in Victoria, she pays $1500 per month (no utilities included). I only wish nobody wanted to live in Canada. While affordability is def an issue there are a number of facts thrown around on this video that are making me question the data points being used. $3k rent sure, if you're downtown Vancouver and live on your own in a newer building with amenities which is what a friend of mine pays in Yaletown. But then I have a friends in KITS paying $1600, Main St $1500, Surrey $1100. There is not 7% of the population emigrating to the US. The rent can't be increased by $7000 as stated by the two girls, it's capped at around 3% annually, so not sure what the real context around that clip is. The girl who took a year to get housing at UBC - presumably she was renting somewhere else in Vancouver, I doubt she was living out of her car . Sounds like this was made with the most sensational examples which really undercts the video because I can't trust the other information about things I don't directly know. Having said that red tape has made building in Vancouver difficult and population growth has put huge pressure on the housing and rental market. Foreign investment purchases of housing has probably driven up the prices more than anything in Vancouver and as stated it has been linked to money laundering from drug money. It's the most expensive city in Canada btw, so while prices are high across the country, Vancouver is the worst of the lot, even worse than Toronto, so hardly an average example to look at.

Real international student brings money and high quality people to Canada. However,there are some students coming to Canada aiming to work and to gain income back home. Why entrepreneurs and start up programs that can bring money to Canada takes years (over 3 years) to process and the number of applications is shrinking. Canada needs money to sustains the economy. Importing thousands and thousands of servants but not enough money to pay? Why don’t they look into the infrastructure and the system of the country when planning their immigration policies? While I agree with most of what was said in the video, there are a few major mistakes that are very misleading. For example, the video states that Canadians spends more on gas than any of the G7 members. This is FAR for the truth. I’m a German who moved to Canada 3 years ago. Gas here in Canada is HALF the price of what it is in Germany! So, the per litre price is super cheap in Canada! So, why is the total number on spending for gas so high? Because Canada is insanely HUGE. People drive insane distances and thus need an insane amount of gas. You can’t compare total spending on gas. You would need to compare the price per litre of gas, which is pretty cheap in Canada. In fact, the only country that has cheaper gas than Canada in the G7, is the USA. All the other G7 members pay more per litre. \n\nThen you also mentioned dairy prices. Yes, they are highly regulated. But compared to Europe, dairy prices are almost the same as in Europe. Again, the only country with cheaper prices in the G7 is the USA. What is (insanely) more expensive however, is meat, housing and groceries in general.\n \nIn general, your point still stands: Canada is insanely expensive. However, you listed the “wrong” items, because the ones you listed are relatively cheap compared to the G7!

Don't blame the people... and blame your government policy. Government should brings those people who can help shape a better country instead of those refugees. The problem that I have seen is that - We accepted far more refugees than the genuine individuals. We chased investors/skills people away and we pay for those refugees with no background check and they lived on our finance system. Students with no/less skills don't qualify for PR and they have to leave. If you come to Canada ?? on a temporary visas and marry, you should leave Canada to pick up your papers. If you marry you shoukd get a temporary work permit fir 2 or 3 years to makevsure the marriage is kegit and the sponsorung spouse has to sign off on it to make it permanent.

Time to move on I guess. Canada is rated quite highly in terms of places to live, the reason so many people want to immigrate here. Years ago vacation meant a car trip probably a few hundred kilometers from home, and that's only if mom or dad could afford it. Now if people can't go on a tropical vacation 3 times a year they cry. We had one car, not 2 or 3 fully optioned like today. Good luck on finding somewhere better, and make room for people who want to be here.

I went to high school in Brampton Ontario, in the mid 80's and there were no Indian immigrants anywhere. After high school, I moved to Montreal to work as a fashion designer, (I have to mention the shock I experienced whenever I would fly into Toronto for business... when I went to get a taxi, there was always a massive line of Indian taxi drivers standing outside next to their taxis. I had the feeling that I was no longer in Canada, but somehow ended up in India?) Having lived in Montreal for 30 years, I recently moved to Guelph Ontario, to be closer to family and I was shocked to see how many Indians had moved there, (going to the dog park, I was informed by the people there, that Brampton was called Bramladesh and Guelph was turning into another Bramladesh.) There was a massive temple built in Guelph a few years ago and suddenly Guelph was invaded by Indian immigrants, with every house put up for sale bought by an Indian family, (the husband, his wife and their kids, the brother and his wife, their mother and father, all living in a 3 bedroom house with 3 cars in a 1 car driveway, (for some strange reason they all choose to dig up the black asphalt driveway and replace it with white concrete??) So yeah, the white people in Guelph are fleeing en mass, as it becomes impossible to sit in the back yard, or open a window, without choking on the powerful stench of spices coming from the Indians living next door... it's like being punched in the face from the horrific smell when you walk your dog and pass by one of their homes! That said, it feels like their goal is 'global domination' and with 2 billion people living in India today, it's just a matter of time before they all decide to leave the most over populated, the most polluted and the most corrupt country on the planet, and move to Canada!

I am Canadian born citizen, unemployed, 2 and a 1/2 years. Because I didn't know that the Trudeau government in 2022 when I lost my job due to the pandemic was allowing them to import T.F.W's as executive assistance my level of experience into my industry. I couldn't figure out why I couldn't get an interview withe almost 20yrs of experience and I was trying every trick in the book but a week ago I learned that they brought in over 2 years 300,000 admins at all levels from E.A's to receptionist now. So imagine my horror and shock to learn that 5 days ago. But you walk in everywhere. And it's just Indians from every part of South Asia and I am all for immigration I'm a child of an immigrant, but immigration is a science When dealing with a country like Canada, where it's designed to be many cultures like a 20 bean soup. You're supposed to try and keep it at being a 20 bean soup and within 3 years it became like a 2 bean soup. It's a science where you're replacing your dead, and then you bump it up like 10% to grow the population slowly with GDP so that you don't have so many Canadians. Unemployed and temporary foreign workers that come are employed. So everybody's contributing but the way they did the open door everybody bum rush. And over run the country. Our economy is now 60% dependent on people who aren't residents. They're temporary which means when they leave our fake economy is actually only built on 40% to 30% of Canadians. That's an economy that will crash because it's never supposed to be weighted that way, Canadians are supposed to be 60% to 70% of the economy and foreign workers are to be the rest. So we're in trouble when they finally go home, but they need to put a moratorium on PR's, Work permits, LIMA's, T.F.W's and restrict all educational institutions on how many Students they can accept so private schools don't scam students by taking their money then telling them they don't have a seat for them to attend class that is just criminal and do so untill end of 2025 and then review status again for 2026. So Canadians can have a shot at getting work and then slowly introduce them back in as needed for proper slow population growth and not just a free-for-all ability to work anywhere in the whole country. Major cities and everything like that. So people like me can finally get back to work.
