I live in Nashville, TN USA. I am so sorry Canada is suffering due to Trump. I do not support this move on Trump's part. I never voted for him. I have known for many years he is a dangerous narcissist. Canada is our friend. You have come to our aide in times of trouble. Our forest fires, 911 when the planes hit our twin towers. Trump wants a 4.5 Trillion dollar tax cuts for the wealthy. He sees tariffs as a way to make up some of that money alone with huge budget cuts to many of our programs. Trump is an unreasonable person who only thinks about himself. I hope he will eventually be impeached. I do not blame Canada. I blame Donald Trump and the the Republican Congress. This is a coupe going down in our country and it is sad to watch. Take good care.

What in this world did USA expect. trump the person that performed lewd acts on a microphone. 34 counts convicted felon. trump is trying to hurt America. Make there be no mistake about. Look how musk is taking a chainsaw against American Vets that work in the government. Then displayed an act with a chainsaw on national TV like it is a funny joke. trump is pitiful. I'm from the USA, and I stand with Canada. There are far too many ignorant Americans who have taken everything for granted. Remind me again why Trudeau was forced to resign? I’ve been operating an import export business for 25 years throughout the entire time It has always been more expensive to clear goods from Canada into the USA than the other way around. Meaning there was already a trade barrier in effect to Canada’s detriment. This is just insult to injury. I wish the White House looked at the facts on the ground rather than fantasy. These tariffs are unnecessary.

What Trump seems to try to get at most is the unfair act of the USMCA. Most trades benefited Canada, while Canada refused to provide the same fair trades. Sometimes Trump does say things that may have gone off track like fentyl handling on Canada's end and border handling. It seems like our borders at the time were less strict on the American side versus the Canadian side of the border. Trump did state multiple times that most countries like Canada were unfair to USA. Even with the USMCA, America got screwed by Mexico as will. America has been there helping and supporting and submitting to every country. Yet failed to support our own people when we need it, especially to clear up our own debts. Sadly, America is falling behind due to poor handling of Government Democrat corruption. I am neutral as both parties don't always provide the best solution for everyone. You have to pick who can help the American people. Seeing how corrupt the Democrats has ran America and the defacto behind of all the wars and money laundering has surprised me, and I hope the change with Trump will help everyone realize how screwed we all are in correcting those corruption that isn't really needed.

From the USA: Why is it right for Canada to tariff us more than we tariff them? Trump pointed out that there was a 200 billion a year tariff deficit for the USA. Some say that number is inflated and the real number is somewhere around the 70 billion mark in Canada's favor. No one disagrees that the US has a huge tariff deficit with Canada. So, the USA is just leveling the playing field. It's time to truly have level trade with the rest of the world, not just Canada. No more free lunch from the US to the world. We want free and fair trade, but for that to happen we must tariff other countries goods at exactly the same level they tariff our goods.

I don’t think that Trump’s Tariffs have anything to do with Fentanyl. I am appalled by the american journalists. The way they both were talking about it is implying that Canada (e.g. we, as I am Canadian) are starting war against them. Justin said it as it is - the war was started by USA. But apparently, if Ukraine could be the aggressor ?(repeated many times over now by the American propagandists), so are we.
