This isn't immigration and assimilation. This is invasion. I think if you come to Canada, you are no longer a Sikh, Muslim, Indian etc. You're Canadian. There shouldn't be sub-cultures inside Canada. We shouldn't see people's skin color. If anything, we are MORE obsessed with skin color than we were in the 90s.

It's culture shock!. Canada does require a larger population, as many of us are now retired, but are new immigrants contributing to Canada's economy?

Canada needs to revamp immigration. Assimilation should be required. If I went to another country, I’d be required to do so. Canada doesn’t have its own culture anymore. Multiculturalism isn’t a culture.

I’m an Indian and even I feel that Canada is losing it all , it’s a white country who build it up . Just kick the immigrants who don’t respect white culture cauz it’s Canada not India .

So to talk about people in-fluxing in, taking over cities, causing a boom in the population of their diaspora, not assimilating into the culture....isn't it what "White colonialism ' did? Canada was not white country a couple of Hundred years ago, it was stolen, invaded and completely white washed. When my parents immigrated to Canada from the Caribbean in the mid-70's they held onto certain cultural customs, while assimilating to Canada. My father was very thankful to be here and was proud to be Canadian. Immigration today is not the same.

And Canadians voted again for the same liberal party that made this mess in the first place. I have nothing against immigrants and immigration but we need to respect each other’s religion and culture and we should not impose our views on others. I believe in practicing your religion and act upon your values, as long as you are not bothering others, while doing so. The government has really messed up beautiful Canada, within this past decade. the homeless people who would rather starve at the shelter instead are just too racist to go to the gurdwara for free food, or to realise they immigrants are actually kind and hard working. Not everyone is like that in my experience, I'm not from brampton but I'm sikh and I have sikh friends who are white and indigenous as well. One thing people don't realise is a lot of Canadians are actually really racist. You clearly saw that from the interview of the guy and his wife who was an RN, they passed the exam fair and square but I feel like his lack of understanding of the English language didn't get his point across right. The point he missed was the quality of life is higher in Canada, In India it's way easier, the cost of living is way cheaper, there's tons of cheap labour to hire maids for all your house work for example which is common in their culture, but as you've probably seen online, India isn't the cleanest or friendliest place to be, and if he was a nurse in India he would probably be broke without a good job, and having the opportunity to find good high paying jobs in something that Canadians also do when they travel to the US if a position in their field isn't available in whatever local city they grew up in. The main issue stems from international students from like after covid, regardless of country, India is in the spotlight because there's just more indians compared to other countries international students but its all the same stuff, you have kids from all over the world that might not have learned the same cultural practices, fresh 16-18 year olds living alone for the first time that have to do all their own chores and don't even know how to take care of themselves in some cases or do laundry or anything like that and it doesn't mean they were illegal immigrants or anything, just that they never put in the effort to learn because they were too entitled, its the same with entitled kids that go to Korea or Japan from north America as well that don't learn their culture and customs and misbehave because they are too entitled, and once you understand that you can see the bigger picture more clearly instead of just defaulting to racism. Also I'm not saying they can't be frustrated, its frustrating for everyone, even for me but racism isn't the answer.

Today it is Indians; in the coming decades, it may be another nationality. The key point is to embrace change—and perhaps change ourselves in the process. For example, the rise in homelessness is tied more to social and economic issues than to immigration. Family structures among white Canadians are becoming less central in people’s lives, and religion is also losing influence. Parenting values are often shaped by fleeting psychology trends and “helicopter parenting,” leaving many children without the strong foundation they need. Perhaps there is something to learn from Indian immigrants about building families, fostering strong connections, and strengthening community ties. Thank you.

This is disgusting, they should keep the images of their Gods that they worship in their temples like other religions do. WHY DO THEY HAVE TO SHOVE IT IN OUR FACES? The issue with Canada is that, when Europeans came here, they didn't integrate with native Indians, didn't accept their traditions/lanuages but brought their own European culture/traditions and languages and named it as a Canadian Culture. The reason why Europenas were able to take over the whole Canada and impose English and French language is that European culture was strong, then brown/black/asian people are moved to Canada and they are brought their own culture/languages, but the brown culture really stood up and sustained because their culture was strong like europeans and more of them are still coming. the history is repeating itself because of politicians in power. People on the both sides are not willing to listen the other side, for example, citizens think that international students are creating the a here, doing cash jobs but they don't see that this coutntry that charged them $9k/term tution fees can't even provide them a job forcing them to work illigally and commit crimes, and on the other side Internation students think that citizens hate us because they are brown but big NO citizens are frustrated because they have no jobs and immigrants are not integrating themselves among other communities. Higher unemployment = higher crime = more = higher division among people, ALL THIS IS HAPPENING BECAUSE THE GOVERNMENT IS ALLOWING.

You know, Brampton even before trudeau was becoming basically little India, and most Canadians just said whatever let them have it, we kinda accepted it. But after trudeau with mass immigration and them taking over other cities its when it became a little too much and started to take over canadian culture. I had a friend visit from the u.s for the very first time, and we did some sight seeing, you know going to places around ontario that tourists would check out, went to niagra falls for the first time in maybe 10 years man it changed. It was 90% Indian people. She noticed it right away but didnt say anything, i said a lot of indians huh? and she said yeah didnt think canada was like this. When you think Canada its always been mulicultural, you just think of all ethnicities and people of different cultures but at the end of the day everyone was Canadian and they assimilated. Now you dont think of a multicultural country you think of an indian country thats changing the canadian culture and way of life and not in a good way. Identity is being taken away and it needs to stop. Canada needs to take notes from Poland before its too late. Poland closed their doors and guess what? economy went up, crime rate went down, people are happier. Canada opened the doors, crime rate shot up, economy crashing, more homelessness then ever and so on. Not saying its specifically Indian people, its the amount coming in and how they adopt canadian culture but instead bring their culture and trye changing the country to fit them rather then fitting in with an already established country and culture.

Canada is COOKED! crime, extortion, fake students on a visa working full time jobs, fake asylum claims, temporary foreigner worker program, "Diploma Mill" colleges, Poaching wild life. And ask the Canadians who grew up in Canada what it is like trying to find a job, If your last name isn't Singh or Patel good luck to you. Why is it that The Liberal government is letting in over 50% of the immigrants from India compared to the other nations? This is how you get cultural dominance. Immigrants who came to Canada before 2015 really wanted to become Canadian. Now everyone is coming at a fast rate, no one gives a F.

The only immigration growth Canada is seeing is Indian. That is not MULTI culture

It's not the first time Canada has changed. The first was when the Whites from Europe and UK colonized it and killed the first nations, enslaved and indoctrinated their kids into Christianity wiping out their own culture, religion & language. I’m a recent Indian immigrant and I’ve lived in Singapore, Malaysia, the USA, and now Canada. I’ll admit that a lot of what’s said here is true: there are far too many cases where Indians abroad show a lack of civic sense, break rules, or behave in ways that don’t respect the host country.  Personally, my family and I have always assimilated wherever we’ve lived, respecting local customs, following rules, and contributing positively to the community and I hate it when immigrants don't assimilate into the local culture and reside in their own enclaves, I mean what was the point of emigrating then?? I truly value the peace and order these countries offer, and I want to give that back. Every community has good and bad examples. The responsibility is on us as immigrants to lead by example, integrate genuinely, and show that we can be respectful, responsible citizens. That’s how perceptions change for the better. It sucks that a whole racial group can be disliked because of some bad apples — and in our case, unfortunately, there are quite a few.

White-societies have a tendency to externalize blame for their decline onto others immigrants/racial minorities etc, without looking into their own systems. The collapse of family farming in Brampton or other part of Canada for instance, was not caused by immigrants but by corporate consolidation.....which since its being made into a race argument ...is driven largely by white elites. Declining white fertility is likewise a cultural product of hyper-individualism, consumerism, and high divorce rates, lack of kinship-based safety nets, where individual entitlement takes precedence over collective responsibility....and not simply demographic replacement by the brown immigrants. White societies have historically exported systems of domination and resource extraction, destabilizing the very regions whose immigrants they look down upon. What you are witnessing is not the result of immigration, but the unraveling of a culture built on exploitation, entitlement, and disposability.....one that is now collapsing under its own design. None of us are perfect, but folks keep framing this economic crisis in terms of immigration problem, rather than wealthy elite minority vs dispossessed majority, you are never getting this fixed.

This documentary starts on a very partisan note, but it doesn't end on one. I don't speak for all Hindus, but when I lived in Australia, my values told me to integrate and treat everyone equal. Now I am back living in India with a global perspective and renewed respect for world cultures. Yes, Canada has had a lot on unchecked unskilled immigration which is bound to cause issues- but I'd like to believe, and my Hindu faith teaches me, that people are inherently good.

What a bunch of liars! I have lived in Canada for 25 years now and have seen Brampton grow infront of me. Brampton was place where no one wanted to go, that is why property were dirt cheap. Immigrants coming from poorer countries like India settled there because of cheaper property. Brampton today is what it is, because of settler from these countries. It was never multi cultural, in fact 90% Brampton land were empty 20 years ago.

it's easier for European immigrants to assimilate because their culture is similiar! if you want to see white folks not assimilating just go to Asia and you'll see white folks who have lived there for 10-15 years and not even speak the local language! They change certain neighborhoods to "expat" neighborhoods with their bars and clubs and all that western garbage! This is not that different! If Indians immigrated to a south Asian country they would have no problem assimilating! These European immigrants of the olden days talk about their assimilation in to Canada as if they were assimilating into an entirely new culture. Please self reflect!

I agree with you to the extent of your understanding of Canadian culture. However, immigrants to Canada should be aware that the First Nations and indigenous people of Canada often have to seek a better life in other countries because colonizers and their descendants show no regard for treaty rights and have disenfranchised First Nations. The government hides the facts about the plight of indigenous Canadians and lie to Canadian immigrants and citizens, always to divide and conquer. Immigrants often don't realize that most indigenous Canadians are living in worse conditions than what the immigrants themselves came from, and few live as comfortably as white Canadians. When white people talk about how hard they have it because of immigrants, they should think about what First Nations have to deal with everyday because of them. Why is there a French-speaking province and not a Cree or Anishnabe speaking province?

As an immigrant who came to this country & fell in love with its culture 40 years ago, it's appalling to see how our beautiful first world country is quickly becoming a gutter. The newcomers these days are the privileged ones. All of us need to speak up, especially those of us immigrants who retain our original accents &/ non-white because our white fellow Canadians are accused of being racist whenever they do (though many could learn to be more eloquent. ie. go back to your country does NOT help)! I see it as my Canadian duty to remind "misbehaving" newcomers the reason they left their country in the first place. ie. You chose Canada for a better life, so why try to change it into the one you left? ie. Help me understand your logic? Why not leave your hate & war at the border; just like normal folks won't bring stinky garbage into their new homes. Life is challenging enough when you uprooted to a new country (especially our unforgiving cold Winter). So, just focus on the positive things in your new country & leave all your miseries behind... ie. Learn to adapt & enjoy your new country. Canada is a great country because of the love & effort of those before you, so now you are the beneficiary. Join the legacy by enhancing this beautiful country & its culture, so you can pass on this century old legacy for later newcomers to enjoy, like you do now. What dignity do you have & what kind of life lessons to your children by bullying your culture & religion into Canada at the expense of other Canadians? I worked my entire career with the public, I very seldom encounter negative feedback when I do the above. If they get nasty, I tell them that's definitely not the Canadian way to make friends & wish them Good Luck! I also make a point in telling the wealthy ones "Tax Avoidance is legal (I'm more than happy to show them), but Tax Evasion is not! Then reminding them....Canada will be bankrupt eventually if everyone don't pay their fair share of taxes. ie. You may not suffer, but your children/grandchildren will. Worst Case scenario, you didn't get the necessary medical care when you most needed it!!! We should lobby for a mandatory course that all newcomers have to take & PASS a test about Canadian culture & expectations. If they fail, no citizenship for sure! May I say as a Metis. My family were and are the first people to be described as Canadian and are still acknowledged as the original Canadians. My great Uncles and Aunts fought the British North West Mounted Police at Batoche because the British Colonizers after outlawing fur trade except through the HBC company were further insulted by having their ancestral land sectioned off and given to immigrants. My uncles also were part of the first battle at Seven Oaks when surveyors were surveying and measuring my ancestral cousins land. The British Immigrants were described as the preferred immigrants. TheNorth American Indians, the Metis were described as undesirables and in a memo written to the Indian Affairs Minister during John A MacDonald asking him how best to remove the undesirables Metis from their land. The Metis were not placed on reservations because we never stopped fighting for our homeland rights. What is happening now is a continuation of what happened back when John A MacDonald was Prime Minister. May I also say if these migrates think their customs and regions are so great then stay in your homeland. But unlike the brave Metis who continues to oppose the government and finally 100 years later some our birthrights as the original Canadians have been recognized. My great grandfather and his father were both named Antoine and Charles Henault dit Canada, and to this day from the 1700s some of my cousin’s last name has been Canada since the 1700s. People with Canadian passports don’t make them Canadian. Indians from Indian don’t integrate or intermarry. They impose their culture on the rest of the country. Get rid of them all.

As an immigrant like myself, I came to study in Canada. I came to learn Canadian culture which has always been polite, humble, and friendly. Nowadays I am seeing things have changed compare with 22 years ago when I came here. I learned true Canadian cultures from my host family and my Canadian friends. Honestly, there are some immigrants who are coming to Canada who are not trying to learn and even tried to integrate into the culture. You don't come to someone's home and destroy it. You want to make yourself welcomed in Canada. Canada is an amazing country please don't destroy it. I worked hard to stay in Canada and I love this country. I also pay my taxes for some people to get their free stuffs when they entered into Canada, what is going on? Love Canada and let's us united again. ❤❤❤❤❤

I have lived over 15 years in Canada. I am an immigrant, and also don't like much when people bring their narrow understanding of their world, regardless of the culture. But, that doesn't equal to automatically blame the immigrants for new generations not having a job, or slavery wages. These are problems created by the government and corporations, selling us a very expensive existence. Yes, integration is essentiall. But also be open to learn something from those others cultures. Don't be ethnocentric. We all have something to learn from each other

The immigrants just don't integrate to Canadian morals. That is the problem. This is why we are losing our culture. (if Canada didn't take migrants I'd bet we'd have more kids and we are just adjusting to a population size that reflects our needs) Maybe ACTUAL Canadians should flip the fuck out like we do in war. THE MEDICAL SYSTEM IN BC IS SO F'N BROKEN ITS NOT EVEN FUNNY!!! SO MANY OF OUR DOCTORS AND NURSES HAVE MOVED TO THE STATES BECAUSE OUR GOVERNMENT IS TOO F'N CHEAP TO PAY FOR GOOD QUALITY CANADIAN CARE WHAT THE HELL IS THIS COUNTRY COMING TO???? I arrived in Canada 25 years ago. Yes, I am an immigrant — but I embraced this country, learned its language, and built my life here. Canadians welcomed me with open arms, and I carry deep respect and gratitude for that generosity. But Canada today is not the Canada of 25, or even 15, years ago. Our nation has changed profoundly. And because I love this country, I believe we must not be afraid to speak up, to protect the values and culture that make Canada the home we cherish.

As an immigrant of Canada, I migrated here in 1999 when I was like 4 years old, I love Canada, and I consider myself Canadian, with a Jamaican background, I share my culture, but I assimilated to Canadian culture because this is where I live, my home, I want to be part of Canadian culture not too change it.

The government has allowed a free for all to take place without checks and balances for their own profit…whether it’s votes for political mileage, money that is being invested by certain people groups that will help enrich the pockets of government or whatever the reason - has caused this country to descend to the dumps st a rate faster than it takes to say ‘Oh Canada’. As an immigrant, I have seen the degeneration within the country (particularly Toronto & GTA) in 10 years. Sometimes it feels like you’re in a different country, with a different language other than English or French, individuals who refuse to adopt the traditional Canadian lifestyle, who are allowed in with little value for system and order, allowed to procreate and ‘raise’ children who don’t appreciate the Canadian values, both born and immigrants using crime as their currency to their warped perception of wealth and an whole history of issues that impact the lives of the average law and culturally abiding citizen. Oh there’s so much more that can be said about the state of this nation, but if there are bold-faced chants about who will be ruling Canada by 2060, those that have the power to do something need to pay VERY CLOSE ATTENTION. That is not just wishful thinking. That is a threat that will come to pass if a blind eye and a deaf ear is turned which, the government seems bent on doing. A word to the wise is sufficient.

I'm an immigrant who came here when i was almost 2 yrs old with my single mother who worked 3 jobs to support me.We're here for 45 yrs.I'm a proud Canadian and agree 💯 with Canadians.Why do we have to accept others religions while they dont have to..How is saying Merry Christmas now a bad thing to say or God Bless..They should leave their religion and culture behind their door and be proud and appreciate Canada let them in ..We need them to adapt to our Culture or go back to their country

Canada isn’t broken because of the people who come here—it’s broken because of the people who run it. We demand a government that puts citizens first, restores law and order, and builds an economy that rewards hard work, not political optics. Im an immigrant and this place sucks now. Everyone needs to get together, immigrants and citizens need to step up and toss this government out. And when it comes to the garbage and pathetic justice system, No more revolving doors. Every judge who releases repeat offenders must be held publicly and legally accountable for the crimes committed under their rulings. If you enable violence, you share responsibility for its consequences. I am an immigrant of 22 years and I will not put up with this disgusting mistreatment of MY COUNTRY. MY PEOPLE. OUR CULTURE. I'm a Canadian, I was born here, who knows what generation Canadian I am - my ancestors were here long before Canada was a country, later they fought for the British (one naughty son fought for the "rebels" americans and was in jail for 5 years), the monarchy granted them 100 acres in the Niagara region which was farmed by a line of my family until the 1980s when the last of that direct line sold which is tragic. blah blah - Canadian. ANYWAY - I love other people, other cultures, every immigrant that spoke in this video I welcome with open arms, would befriend, share a meal with etc. I grew up working with many people from Pakistan and India who were escaping really scary situations, worked their butts off to be part of this country, learn the language, save for a home - live a safe and happy life. Whether you're a first or 50th generation Canadian - you come here and you adapt to our wonderful way - you're a freaking Canadian. That's not happening right now. Like the video said, it's a math problem. One of my largest concerns is that now all these wonderful Canadians who have been here for a long ass time, worked their butts off to be part of the family will now be subject to violence, harassment and racist comments because this population bomb has misrepresented their intentions entirely.

Canada is not bringing in immigrants to work. I am a child of immigrants. My parents worked hard from the day they landed and given 0 from the government. Today, these "new Canadians " get free housing, free large amounts of money(which they use to send back to their homeland)...while we , born Canadians find it hard to pay our everyday expenses. Does this make sense.? The government has to stop handing out our hard earned money. Take care of your own first. And we have to endure bending to their culture not them learning our culture...our humility and kindness. This is not about to being welcoming to everyone , this is about calling out to the government start cleaning up this mess before we ( born Canadians) find ourselves without a country of our own.

I'm done being quiet too. Im not racist, I dont hate people because their skin color isnt white like mine, Im happy to have immigrants here if they are willing to integrate like the previous generations have. We arent having kids because unlike other countries, we want to put kids first, and its irresponsible to have children when our economy is unaffordable to have them. I dont have any of that so called "white privilege" i always hear about. I grew up where I couldnt shower for days at a time, went to bed and school hungry. I'm exhausted from being labeled a terrible person when I condemn racists and the past actions, but its never good enough because im white. We have culture, Canada has culture. You just dont hear us talk about it cuz we get labeled racist for talking about it. We need to stand shoulder to shoulder if we want change in this country. I dont get why here its acceptable to come illegally, leech our resources without contributing to society and disrespect us, yet if we were to do the same its disrespectful. Well it is disrspectful. I wouldnt move to a country without learning the language, at least enough to get by, learning their culture, their values, their way of life, and ASSIMILATE like everyone has done before. As a Canadian, I am so sick and tired of being told that i have this bullshit nonsense, non-existent " white privilege," which is a load of shit. I am terrified for my little girl when it is time for her to get a job because my little girl and I are white, so we are put at the bottom of the list for being employed. And on top of that i am expected to bow down and not have a voice or an opinion about anything when it comes to immigrants and that because my daughter and i are white so we are automatically considered to be racists colonizers and forced to pay the price of something that happened long before i was even born and had nothing to do with just because the color of my skin . God gave us all our skin color and made us all . I had no say with being born with the color of my skin. Canadians of all colors and cultures are suffering so badly because we brought in so many immigrants who demand we change everything and pretty much bow down to them and told that we all have to change . Stop trying to change Canada and the Candian people . I refuse to bow down to anyone who tells me that i dont matter, and my opinion doesn't matter because of my skin color and because i am assumed to have bs white privilege. The only people i see having all of the privileges are the immigrants coming in trying to force us to bow down to them while starting protests to change Canada . I will fight against these immigrants who are trying to force Canada to change to their ways, which won't ever happen . If you want to change Canada to your way of life and culture, then just stay in your own damn country . We need to get rid of these protesting immigrants who do this crazy shit . It's pretty pathetic and sickening that Canada lost it's back bone and allowed angry immigrants to come in here and take over everything and try to change the country and laws and treat the Canadian people as if we are less than them which is sickening. As far as i am concerned, any immigrant that came here that are fighting and protesting against Canada to change Canada to how they want Canada to be while treating all Canadian people as second class citizens plus destroying the country and destroying nature while breaking laws and demanding that all Canadians give in to their demands need to be kicked out of Canada and never be allowed to return . It will be a cold day in hell before i bow down to any of them who try to destroy my country and tell me that i am white so i need to be silenced because i am white and a colonizer so i dont matter . And white people have a hard time finding work . My daughter is sick, and so am i, so when it takes 2 years to see a gynecologist or take 6 weeks to see a doctor, it is insane. This situation is so bad for all Canadians that we need to grow a pair of balls and take back Canada and stop sending our money to other countries and stop allowing immigrant terrorists destroying the Canadian people and Canada and it's nature . If Canada doesn't start to fight back, we will all be screwed even more in the very near future . CANADA NEEDS TO GROW A PAIR OF BALLS AND PUT AN END TO THE GOVERNMENT BS AND TO STOP THESE IMMIGRANT TERRORISTS AND CLOSE OUR BOARDERS AND STOP SENDING MONEY TO OTHER COUNTRIES AND DEPORT ANY IMMIGRANTS WHO TAKES PART IN TERRORISTS ACTS AND BREAKS THE LAWS . And it kills me to say this because i love my country, but if Canadians are not going to stand together as one and take back our country and our lives and fight for change now then we might as well become Americas 51st state because we lost our Canadian pride . The immigrant voices (those who were vetted appropriately and who came to become Canadian citizens, with respect for the culture of Canada) are powerful and impactful and bear so much weight. Thank you for speaking out, brothers and sisters. You are correct, I am not upset with immigrants per se, but am frustrated with how leaky and inept the government has been with their slack policies. I have been in public parks and watched as non-English speaking immigrants leave their trash littering a park! Where they do not respect personal space. Totally agreed. If you want to maintain your culture then do not migrate. But whose fault is this? Canada and some other western countries give too much freedom to immigrants to do whatever they want. So people started keep practicing their own culture instead of adopting the Canadian culture. It's not their fault. That's human nature. Government should have controlled the immigration not letting large ethnic groups created within Canada.

I came here as immigrant and enhanced my knowledge, I went to study and enabled myself to find a job. By God grace and especially Canadian people support I have a job and a roof. There has been immigrants in Canada for decades but in Last 4 years Canada let many Indian immigrants which ended diversity and now indian culture is dominant, Canadians n other immigrants are not getting jobs Canada is no more ideal for immigration other than indians

These immigrants are coming from war war-torn countries and bringing all of their shit with them. They are here for convenience and a free ride and they care nothing about Canadian culture or values. To those whose visas are expiring, PLEASE either go home to your home country; or, if you CHOOSE to REMAIN here in Canada, PLEASE RESPECT CANADIAN CULTURE!!!
