I thought the fentanyl originates from China, yet Trump's tariffs on China are 10% vs. the 25% on Canada and Mexico. Why is Trump sucking up so hard on Russia and China?

Donald Trump knows that his trade war with Canada, Mexico and China will damage America’s economy. That is why he is doing it. He is purposely hurting the American economy in order to help Putin. How is that every American can’t see that Trump is a Russian asset? He is doing everything that he can to unstable the American government. The writing is on the wall America. Wake up!

As an individual Japanese, I cannot stand the current US president and vice president. I demand an impeachment trial. In order to protect America and the American people, these two people who do not call Russia a dictatorship, call Ukraine a dictatorship, and refuse to use Russia's frozen assets should be impeached. I'm European and I really can't understand how you can make an economic trade war with an ally like Canada, a close and so friendly neighbor.... A dumb decision not only for the W Post... It has _never_ been documented to have shipped in as part of large scale commercial imports, so a 25% tariff on legal trade with Canada and Mexico doesn’t directly target the black market supply chain at all.\n\nIf we take Trump’s reasoning at face value, the argument seems to be that he wants to exert economic pressure on Mexico and Canada as a means of having them crack down harder on drug trafficking networks. But the issue is that fentanyl simply isn’t coming in through mass import channels, so all this looks like is a punitive measure without a clear mechanism to actually achieve its stated goal.
