Why do people still watch CNN after being lied to over and over? Didn't they tell you Hilary was winning in 2016 and then lied to you guys again about Harris leading in the polls in 2024 lol. Not sure if you guys knew but we all know there's immediate pain with these tariffs but in the long run, we should come out on top. I get you guys are emotional and don't like Trump but the reality is that USA doesn't need Mexico or Canada but they need the USA. Mexico and Canada's exports are 70-80% to the USA while we only export 13-14% to them. This means most of their economy relies on the USA and only a small of ours rely on theirs.

I think Trudeau missed the memo on what reciprocal tariffs mean! By the way we don't need Canadas energy when they Say they're going to so-called turn off the energy to America that means literally nothing five minutes of research will tell you that the United States does not need Canadas energy! Why is it that everyone outside of America has an expectation on how we should be that benefits them. This can has been kicked down the road for multiple decades. The waste, fraud, and abuse we are uncovering in the government. The situation with NATO and Ukraine and no one can fix their problems or issues without the US. We have aggressive homelessness, poverty, poor education system, high taxes, and a government that in the past has done nothing but pimp our tax dollars out just for kickbacks. Everyone is pissing and moaning about our domestic problems while also having an extremely high bar on the international stage. I have never received aid from the UN, never receive money from other countries, nor assistance. Is no one in America tired of this? Here we are talking about Bourbon tax….lol. A great reset needs to happen and though I do not like it, it is happening and I am here for it. BTW I love Canada and Mexico and believe at best that if we pull out of NATO I would still hope we can have an Americas/Mexico treaty.

So why is it up to Canada to secure their borders? It’s a USA problem not a Canadian or Mexico problem. The USA needs to secure their borders better if they don’t want illegal immigration. I’m an USian n I don’t think we should be putting the blame on others borders more so our own.

So much misinformation in this video. First off, Trump didn't force Canada to do anything. Canada had the $1B security plan already in place and was going to do this long before Trump came to power. Secondly, more people come in to Canada illegally from the US than the other way around. Int'l law requires/allows: 1. Asylum seekers apply for asylum in the first valid country they enter. 2. Thus, those Asylum seekers entering America from or having passed through Canada or Mexico, etc. can be returned to the last valid asylum allowing country or be returned to any other they passed through... 3. The Northern border needs to be patroled on both sides of the border.not just on one side. Canada and the Us have a very long border. not a smaller one like mexico. Canada needs to stop flying them in and that should put a stop to that.

This was always going to occur. Shut down the southern border and people will try to get in through the north. As I understand it, we don't have the same deportation laws with Canada as we do with Mexico. This needs to be dealt with and Canada needs to step up. I live in a norther border state and my younger brother died of fentanyl. I am fed up with it. I love Canada and remembering crossing the border without even a passport as a kid, but this is no longer acceptable.

Canada and Mexico need to find other trade partners and have stronger relationships with other countries and start trading with each other stop relying on America for everything just because they are closer start trading with Denmark . The tariffs were to incentivise Canada and Mexico to help stop the flow of fentanyl into the u.s. the tariffs didn't need to happen. if these governments helped curb drug flow by securing their own borders there wouldn't have been tariffs. Instead they sided with China that makes the drug that kills 15,000 people a year in the u.s.. these people's blood is on your hands and your reason for doing it? you don't like trump.. you just had to secure the borders so people would stop needlessly dying, but you just wouldn't do it..

Good, both Canada and Mexico have been doing whatever they want when it comes to America. Everything America needs can be produced within America. This also could help both Canada and Mexico to create their own economy.

I’ve read many comments urging Canada to reduce its exposure to the us. It’s reasonable but that doesn’t happen overnight. Refineries, for example, are custom built - they can’t process all crudes. They’d cost several billion to build and at least 3-5 years; plus, you need railways and port infrastructure to ship out oil or its byproducts. This should have been started in 2017 (trump’s 1st term). In the short term, free trade zones within Canada and Mexico may alleviate some of the tariffs.

It's time for Canada to drop out of NATO and NORAD (what is the point of a defensive strategic alliance with the only country in the world that is openly threatening you with annexation?) and expel all American military and government personnel in the country. Canada, Mexico, Europe, Australia, Japan, South Korea etc need to form a new strategic and economic bloc oriented toward the goal of breaking America, just as we did with the Soviets when they were the largest threat to global peace and prosperity. it worked the first time he instituted these tariffs in 2016, I suspect it will work again, because Canada and Mexico have no real leverage. they can say they will fight back with their own tariffs but its a losing game for them because, they are a luxury for us. we dont need them. they need us far more than we need them. and thats why despite grumbling they caved in last time. they will do the same, you just have to let them get it out of their system like a toddler and try and save face for a bit.

It is very hypocritical for other country's that already have tariffs on American made products to say that it is wrong for the United States to tariff their products.
