I’m in tears. Mr. Trudeau, thank you for supporting the US citizens as we try to figure out what we can do to get our friends back. I’d give anything to be a Maple Leaf if I can’t have my country back. I love Canada because they’ve always welcomed me. The people are freaking amazing and kind. I love our allies because we look out for each other. Canada, Mexico, Europe, Ukraine, etc., the American people love you and don’t want this insanity - not just liberal-minded people like me, but most all of us. Love to you all!

Canada, the American people stand with you. Personally I wish that Justin Trudeau was our president! Although I have to disagree with you, Trump is not at all a smart man. In fact he is the exact opposite. He is an imbecile! Undoubtedly, he is the worse thing that has ever happened to to the United States! I really like the way that he said about he's not going to sugar coat anything and he spoke so clearly to inform Americans what is truly going on with what Trump is doing to this country and Trudeau is telling people the truth just like the leader from North Korea. When you get leaders who barely rare give speeches then you know that they are not bull sh**ing about what they are talking about, but Trump is doing that and he's going to destroy people's lives in America and he's going to destroy America. Why would he turn a country (Canada) who's been there for America into an enemy and that's because he doesn't care about the country and they don't have what he wants and all he cares about is money and power, so know he just turned a country Canada into an enemy, WTF IS HE THINKING ABOUT CLEARLY NOT PEOPLE IN AMERICA!

We here in Detroit love Canada. We are ashamed of our president and his buddies, Putin and Musk. And we are so jealous of the Canadian leaders who actually speak like intelligent people and tell the truth. And why is Trump trying to blame our neighbors for our own citizens' drug abuse? Americans created the drug cartels, gave them all the money and all that power. .

All I can say as an American is that the giant majority of us do not want this at all. Donald does not speak for us and Canada and Mexico are our friends, especially in trade and culture. Our election system is so antiquated that tons of young people sat out and the swing states have all the power here. Well said. I love the USA, I have relatives who live there and in all the years of a beautiful relationship with the people of America I have never seen this situation. Mr. Trump you seem to want to conquer and divide relationships at any cost, even with people who care about you. You sabotage yourself and those who are loyal to you. I'm not sure if you understand the implications of your decisions. But I will say respectfully, there are no winners in a trade war, nor is it you that has the final say on the worlds outcome. This is God's world not yours and not ours. I'm really disappointed to see American people and Canadians hurting because of whatever the point of all of this means. But Canada is strong and we will stand up for our country. The American people are strong and they were strong before you became the President. Working together, we can take care of each other for our families and our country.

As a Minnesotan, I feel as if I’m almost as Canadian as American and proud to say so. Our present sitting president and buffoon unelected sidekick Musk are creating chaos everywhere for the sake of billionaire donors and supporters. Absolutely none of what Trump/Musk has done and plans to continue to do is beneficial to a single non-wealthy American and these actions will harm his personal voters (of which I’ve never been one!) the most. Trump cares not. Pervasive narcissistic sociopathy is not curable! Stand strong Canada! We’re trying mightily to defeat this insanity here in the USA! 74 million people did not vote for any of this harm and destruction and outright cruelty!

I don't care what side of the fence you sit on. I did not need to hear this man speak to already know Canada was, but may yet be, our greatest ally and trading partner. I have no idea what possessed Mr. Trump to decide to stab our allies in the back, but it was not something good. 27.5% of voting age adults voted for him. How many of them were serenaded by hollow promises and a good slogan. Perhaps all of the mud slinging and Russian media interference helped? If you add in our more studious teenagers, truly reformed felons, and immigrants who actually deserve a gold card, that number plummets to less than 25%. I won't ask people to wake up, if you are reading this you are already more than capable of finding out that I speak only the hard truth. This means less than a quarter of america wanted this. This means your vote and opinions DO count. I know it is incredibly difficult to reach for and find answers in a world where your president or primary candidate throws 'fake news' in your face on a regular basis. He is actually telling the truth. When he is not telling you is that he is a primary enabler of 'fake news'. To him, only his word is law, only his opinion matters, only he deserves to be on top, and he deserves authority over all of your lives. Do the right thing, we all have a civil duty to understand our candidates to the very best of our ability. When a man has been convicted of dozens of felonies, and we tell you that this is only what we were willing to expose. You may want start believing us. The genuine facts of his past are unilaterally corrupting to our children and good people alike. Do not let the american people repeat their mistakes, force Mr. Trump to atone for his mistakes. No not empower him to sweep them under the rug for the sake of his own arrogance, because that is exactly what he is doing by trying to dismantle the CIA and FBI. These two institutions are shining examples of America's pursuit of freedom and justice. Freedom to keep billionaires from corrupting the morals of our children. Freedom to know that the rule of law is immutable, our constitution is not just a paper with fancy traditional sentiment. Even if the law may sometimes be bent for the sake of decency, forgiveness, and the pursuit of 'united we stand', our constitution cannot. Amendments require the FULL support of nearly all Americans, not 27.5% of unrestricted adults.

I'm sorry about this viscous & needless act! I'm an American & I understand completely why Canadian's are upset. I also understand why you're going to retaliate, if you didn't, then I'd question your leadership. Canada has to do what's right for its people and Americans will understand why Canada has to do whatever it has to do for its People and Country. Trump's plan to make Canada the 51st State is by putting economic pressure on Canada until it can't stand anymore. This is his plan and now you can prepare Canadians for the fight ahead. I have been all over Canada, and i will say they are polite, kind, funny, great people. I'm from Montana, and we have always had so much in common. I was glad that not too long ago... Trump actually did say the truth to the American people: Canada imports 95% of it's goods from the USA... with us refusing to buy American, with all of us buying Canadian or International products instead... how will he be making America great again ?? I have lived in Canada for almost 50 years..
