There are left wing governments right across the West the US, Canada, UK, EU are dystopian left wing nightmares. They have huge numbers of uneducated immigrants or qualified people where there are no jobs available, massive welfare programs which are unfunded, weak social laws which allows criminals back onto the streets. Thet dont spend on necessary infrastucture ie transport because they are basically broke.\nThere is so much more to why Canada, like the US, have been turned into a new 3rd world, a middle ages style economy with shirtages if everything, restrictions on what you can do or say!

Noone wants to live in Canada anymore because spineless liberals sold this country down the river while telling everyone with a straight face the cons did it. 44 billion dollars spent on Ontario Healthcare this year, a budget decided by the premier, and liberals are complaining about the state of the Healthcare system. Have you ever heard of a time when 44 billion dollars went into one provinces Healthcare system for one year? \n\nNewsflash: it didn't give us the great healthcare system 44 billion dollars would have because most of that money had to be funneled into paying off liberal policy expenses. Then the same people will tell you Doug Ford is responsible.\n\nYeah Doug Ford is responsible for a sustained overspending effort by the liberals, and especially so when he had to pay their debts. Liberal debts just aren't necessary to pay I suppose, unless you're conservative. Liberals currently have no plan even because they realize their voters are hateful, spiteful people who will cut off their nose to spite their face so the plan is sink the upcoming conservative government in debt and come back in 8 years pretending to not have been the original problem.

When I went to the Toronto consulate to get my passport (now everything is done by BLS, but it wasn't the case back then), the officer, despite knowing I had all the necessary documents, insisted I obtain an unnecessary police document related to an FIR. I was surprised and pleaded extensively, but was still told to go back and return with the document. When I returned, the police officer told me they don't issue such documents. I went back to the consulate and was still denied. I protested there for 20-30 minutes. Eventually, with the same documents I initially presented, I obtained my passport. Such incidents used to be quite common.

Nurturing your new baby is necessary for a well-balanced child. You can't bond in 6 weeks. \nYour health insurance is nuts. We paid $1500/mo. just for our family. Then you have a $5k deductible first! Just walking into the ER is $500 and THEN add on labs, x-rays, meds, etc. My son was in mental health treatment and our insurance capped mental health at $25k for life. \nThe biggest slap up my head, was when I found out I CAN'T collect my SSI. I paid a lot of taxes, since we made 6 figures/year. So, now I'm screwed, since they won't pay a former Permanent Resident. Had I been a citizen, I could get it. My husband is a PR in Canada, waiting to take his citizenship test. If he applies for SSI, he needs to go down to the States for 30 days and nights, annually. \nI'm from Toronto, born and raised and I am so happy to have my feet back in my own country. My boys are still there, as well as my grandchildren. Thankfully, they fly up twice a year. You couldn't pay me to move back.

As a Canadian I am actually going to set up a business that's taking advantage of America's horrible healthcare system. I actually wanted to move to the United States every since I was a teen ager. I went to the Detroit area and they failed me in nursing school. I found white Americans to be quite feral and maintain sadistic tendencies and arrogance as necessary cultural value. Regardless my life in Toronto, Canada has turned into nightmare and I still think America is a better place simply because you have more options and job opportunities. Would I prefer to live in the United States? The answer is YES!!

The stark difference between Canada and the US boils down to political philosophy. Canada is very Hobbes in that the role of the state is to maintain social order. So the state sees to the welfare of the subjects but all rights are privileges granted by the state and can be withdrawn when they feel it is necessary.\nThe US centres around the philosophy of Locke where the state can potentially become tyrannical and must be restrained. I live in Canada and the truth is ,working minimum wage jobs won’t make you rich unless you work 2 or 3 full time minimum wage jobs. Without the necessary skills and education you will struggle to get professional jobs that pay better. Canadian employers value Canadian education and Canadian work experience. It’s hard to get professional jobs . without that. A visitor visa does not allow you to work in Canada. Agents will give you visitors visa and leave you to hang dry without work permit.

I was doing a job in a major city in North America where I would come into contact with some frequency with small business owners from Europe. It would be revealed in conversation they are extremely reluctant to hire men ( not the women ) from places like Africa, The Middle East and South Asia because those individuals are accustomed to passing the day doing next to nothing, letting women do most the work, are difficult to train and become combative when asked to work with the intensity of local norms. That is not racist. Racist would be wishing those groups harm, thwarting their progress, etc. But facts are facts. Certain groups are socialized to do the bare minimum in life in settings where it is not necessary to work hard enough to sustain infrastructure and personal resources for very cold winters and a decent, not unsanitary standard of living. If anyone accuses that of being racist they have never ran a business with balanced books in an industrialized Nation. It has nothing to do with genetics. It has to do with how people are socialized. Traveling on Saudia the Male flight attendants do next to nothing, tend to be rude and let the Women do most the work. Why? Because they can get away with it.

Canada wants permanent immigrants, not temporary workers, and makes it harder to hire foreign workers by requiring companies to apply for LMIA that takes months to be approved, if approved. The US (and most other countries) wants the opposite, and as soon as you are no longer necessary they kick you out. This gives visa holders a disadvantage related to other workers in the same industry since they are tied to an employer and can't just quit. In fact, they are at a mercy of the employer and are likely to work harder for a lower salary. Yeah, their average pay is higher than the country average, but it is still lower than other workers with the same skills.

The thing about the job health insurance that a lot of Americans don't really think of as a business case: If a person has their insurance tied to their job, they will almost never be able to move to another one if they develop a life-threatening condition. Even with diminished bars of entry due to pre-existing conditions, your health insurance can be denied if you transition to another company. If you are denied, your best healthcare options are then tied to your income, and that means you basically have to be unemployed and living on social entitlements. \n\nThe thing is, this locks you into your position, and you are literally at the mercy of the company which means you're only going to be doing the minimum amount of work necessary to not get fired. If you have a socialized/universal single-payer healthcare plan, your job is no longer a limiting factor, you can switch employers basically at-will. The boon for businesses is that people will be more able to move rather than have to get you to do a dance with your insurance company. \n\nThe other thing for me is that having been in the US, I felt less safe in blue states than I did in Canada, and I felt worse in red states. The USA is a beautiful country, but it's a STRANGE society. One thing I can say is the USA tends to get bright fast once they catch on to how big a problem actually is, so here's to hoping that happens soon because brother, you have a mess of problems on your plate. \n\nThis isn't the only thing, but FWIW, I have had multiple opportunities to move to the US for work, and I work in a field where I can command a very good salary, but I choose to not live there. I'd move to Belize, or a Nordic EU country instead.

Canada can't do better because we are a colony of the US and we are never going to do better than the master. If the US keeps on declining, we are only going to decline farter. It's unconscionable that we've invited people to come to Canada without actually following through on the promise we made to them in the first place. Was it all just sloganeering designed to appeal to liberal progressive NIMBYers? Was there ever any intent on actually doing something for these poor people beyond a sound bite or photo op? \n\nThe solution to migration because of war, terror, famine and so on is not by opening up the borders and allowing everyone in, the solution to mass migrations (over 100 million worldwide) is to tackle the conditions that make such migrations necessary. Almost without exception, each one of these migrant/refugee situations are the result of political problems that have to be tackled in those countries where the conditions exist. There are over 100 million people fleeing conditions that make life unbearable, even if we wanted to, how are we to take them all into North America? How does anyone propose we do that, and even if we could manage it somehow, another 100 million would show up on our doorstep next year...or next week...it's simply not possible or reasonable to expect us to be overwhelmed by wave after wave of the poor unfortunate. The solutions to war and famine abroad can't be found here and we need to make it plain that people who live in such conditions must first rise up to help themselves. We can and should help, politically, through foreign aid and individual donations (North Americans are among the most generous donators after all), and even militarily where feasible or possible. The UN and other coalitions of nations, must each take up the burdens before people smugglers take it up for them. We have our own problems to deal with here and I'm not willing to vote for promises made that were never meant to be kept.

Forced diversity only breaks the system, and immigrants gets lost in it and are not able to get the necessary education and skill they need. Therefore, you have the lack of diversity in any corporation or business that are operating today.

Due to the barbarian russian invasion my family & I fled the horrific situation in Kharkiv city. I was driving a mini bus of 4 families! Most are children. We’ve arrived to Europe. Crossing many countries (Poland, Czechia & Austria) we’ve arrived to the country leading the EU. In Poland & Czechia, we’re treat very good by the people. In Austria we got hardly a payed hotel where children could get a rest!!! We still didn’t understand why they don’t want to give us rooms despite we’re paying for our staying!!! In Germany, I believe that the government did its best. But the number of comers is huge! Of course many they got disappointed as happened with me! But I still understand and believe that really the government & people did theirs best. So fast I got a job! The social connection helped to introduce me to the company! But i was not hired, I still to express myself & my qualifications. The manager was understanding, so he accepted to communicate in English and to offer me the job in case if I am successful doing the job during the first week at the site. I had to change the machines menu into English. So the manager was very satisfied with my job and I got that job. The rent! You’ll get it only if you receive the blessing of each member of the county and a very strong social connections! The doctors! To make just a blood work for my son it took 45 days of waiting! To get the doctor appointment, you need that a German guy call and get you the appointment! Because when my wife called, the secretary said: we don’t speak English! But when my wife went for her visit she figured out they’re speaking English better than her!!! My son has an issue of hyperactivity, so they refused to accept him at school more than 3 hours a day! And he was excluded from the birthday parties of his colleagues aswell other events! Other Ukrainian children, they were just attending classes! Just a show! No body cares how help their integration! About, the taxes! The half of my income was going to the government! The money back?! Only 200 euros/ month for my kid. And nothing else. Nothing! To get a neurologist appointment for my son it was necessary to wait 3 months! Prices?! Everything expensive! Technology?! Not better than Canada at all. Bureaucracy, Canada is much less. Banking system, Canada much better. Where in Germany?! The best province in Germany “Munich”. Where people stoped long ago dreaming to purchase a home. Guys, Canada doesn’t through broken people as we were in camps! Where nothing is human there! Canada doesn’t enter you in cercle of hell bureaucracy just to get your kid into school! And if he needs a support he get it right away without any background that he’s not our!!! I got a good job in Canada; so fast. Without any social connections because simply I do not have any. I rent an apartment for my family, without to proof to the landlord that I’m the best guy in the world with a witnessed county about that!!! I want you to be sure, that I am not the lonely case. Just ask Ukrainians stied in Europe for a while before they move recently. Just ask them. I am not saying it’s a paradise or cons don’t exist. Just paradise doesn’t exist! And cons are everywhere. First off Canada is not a systemically racist country I’m white I’m also poor and I’ve lived here all my life nearly everyone excluding the native population in a immigrant or a descendant of a immigrant my mom is Portuguese and I also have black family members we are no more racist than anyone else in any other country. Boomers are retiring at a rate of over 400,000 people per year. The Zoomer generation is tiny and not entering the workforce to fill in the gaps. Canadians stopped having kids and there won't be workers to support the elderly in their retirement. Gramps in the old age home, with no nursing staff, so he's left in his diaper all day x a million gramps. And nobody feeding the pension plan, so grandma is eating dry cat food.\nImmigration is necessary to keep Canada functional when Canadians are too broke to have kids. Canada is a great country and we don't force people to come here .Those individuals that wish to move elsewhere are free to do so.Higher taxes are a necessary reality of ALL developed countries. If they want low or zero taxes they can return to Africa.

I am from India and I too felt very lonely there in Canada almost went into depression .. left and came back on a very long vacation to India to stay with my family ..\n\nIt is necessary to have true friends .. you can find random friends but the ones who would take out the time for you from their busy schedule are very rare .. And if you have a circle of few good friends I think we can form a small community and life a balanced life .. but it is easier said than done in practical life ..

The actual truth is that healthcare in Canada is covered by the taxation system and is “ universal” meaning every citizen is covered for most services and for necessary treatments and surgeries. Elective procedure such as having a boob job , for the most part are not covered, nor should they be. Furthermore, most thinking people acknowledge that the system is not perfect, and is often strained by those irresponsible people who abuse it. Higher taxes are the price we pay to feel confident that in the event of necessary hospitalization or treatment, we need not fear financial ruin and or bankruptcy as is quite common in the US for example. Nothing is free unless you believe in the tooth fairy and Santa Claus. Think before you speak.

I don't know why all of Latin America thinks that the USA and Canada have the responsibility of taking care of the people from Latin American Countries. I say let them fix their own countries. Mexico for example, has every resource that the USA has. Coal, oil, natural gas, mineral mines of every type, timber industries, rich farm land, etc..... You name the resource, Mexico has it. Unfortunately, in Canada you have to wait years for things you could have in way less time in the states IF you can pay for it. I have seizures every day and am on a two year waiting list to have the necessary testing done. Despite being unable to work enough to support myself due to the episodes, because they are un-diagnosed, I do not qualify for disability assistance. I pay for health care through taxes, yet cannot receive timely care, or assistance while I wait. There are definitely pros and cons to each system.
