Canada has always been a country that welcomes immigrants. Throughout our history we have averaged around 250k immigrants per year and this was sustainable. The issue now is that the Liberal government has broken the system by allowing almost 1 million a year especially when you factor in international students. Our systems and housing are overwhelmed and the government doesn’t seem concerned about Canadians and communities that have been changed within a very short amount of time. This is why Canadians are fed up. The government needs to focus on Canadians

In Canada, it was way too many, way too fast. All of a sudden there were tens of thousands Indians everywhere and it freaked out Canadians. They were dominating low skill jobs which blocked young Canadians and students from employment, and cost the tax payer millions/billions in subsidized income and welfare for foreign workers. The Liberal government are idiots and incompetent at running the country, and now Trudeau is backpaddling to try to fix what he has broken. There have always been Indian migrants to Canada, but they must enter the proper way to apply for citizenship in manageable numbers. Indians must also understand that temporary workers and students does not mean you are Canadian citizens, and you will have to return home when your visa expires.

Now it is open and clear that education or so called skill enhancement education programs for foreign students is a scam. They just want their money(many times what Canadians pay), and no skills to give them in return. Its broken in a way that they also can't apply to another country. So, for everyone who is applying--- Don't apply to Scammy Canada. when I had a chance I didn't even consider Canada because of their this attitude.

Bruh I swear on my mom, I know a guy who was on a work permit and was charged with DUI. As per the laws he was deemed inadmissible and was supposed to be deported. I am from India and been living in Canada for 18 years. I am living here with my family and I am so grateful to this country and respect the country and the freedom I have. The thing is homelessness is a fact that is coming from the most broken families. And here cannabis legal. I could see most white peoples don’t want to go to work, even there is enough work for them. And as a country to grow, they need youngsters for the workforce, but unfortunately Canadians people don’t have enough kids to support the country. And the kids are grown from the broken families maybe ending up in the streets. Indians are most of them only marry once and keep their marriage life till the end. So many divorce can ruin the life too. So the students coming here in Canada, how they get visa, Government don’t know that. We can’t blame them, because this is the offer they get from here. \nBut even though I am from India, I have enough from Indian people here in Canada. I always questioned the people from India either you guys respect the culture here or please go back. The reason I love Canada is Canadians are so pleasant and so helpful. My US work permit got approved yesterday! Ive lived in Canada for 29 years but it started going steeply downhill around 2018 and the 2 years of covid were rough. I miss it a lot but the costs and constant fear of getting my house and car broken into, as well as watching my tax dollars go down the drain has been tough. Also I feel like people are hustling so hard they’re not as happy. It makes me sad as well

I am a Serbian and Canadian living in Canada for the last 24 years. I love \nthis country I respect this country but my God is so much different than it used to be or it is me. This summer I went with my kids and wife to 6 different countries in Europe Eastern Europe and Central and have seen 2 alcoholic then I come to Canada I see thousands of drug addicts on the street. everything is overpriced ppl do not enjoy in here. When I came in 2000 Serbian economy was low due to the war now it is better and Canadian economy is worse so the gap is very small. you need to make 6000$ to live just ok and I do live well but there is always but. I call it a pressure cooker, I wish all Canadian travel abroad a bit just to realize that they were lied too and that there's a lot of bs. I can give you an example: Condo in Belgrade same size property tax is 200$ per year condo in Qc Gatineau 2500$ plus condo fees 400$ per month basically 7000$ wasted for what? no dr wholes on the street broken system. It will be for sale. I agree paying taxes on my house where I live but for rental property when you deduct all the expenses you invested so much money without any profit. the one that works and the one that scams the system make the same amount of money and we live approx the same. something is wrong there. I will live for many years to come but definitely not spending my whole life here due to many circumstances and expenses. Family values are getting killed and I have issues with that. The more I was pushed to change the more I went to church and believed in old fashioned traditional values. As you said I will always be grateful for what I made but working hard for two jobs in the last 20 years I would make that somewhere else too. My wife and I have decided to leave, there is no way on God's green earth we would send our daughter to school in the $hithole that is called England. We are researching like mad, currently top of our list is Bulgaria, Albania, Mexico. It's a huge scary decision, but we can't live like this in this broken land, it is heart breaking to see the country you loved torn apart slowly and painfully piece by piece. Born and raised in Canada but left in 1999. I have only been back 3 times and although I retired in 2015, I have decided to not move back, maybe never. I am absolutely heart broken about it because I love the country I grew up in. Been traveling full time ( no home base ) since retirement and we keep looking for a place to call home. We are ending a 2+ year stay in South America and are now headed to Japan, just for the heck of it, change of scenery. We are not too keen on hot and humid but we still want to visit SEA. I left Canada in the late 1990s. I moved back in 2018 (more than 20 years abroad)... and I've regretted it every day since. I do NOT hate Canada at all. Like you said, it is a great place to live, but... once you see how other people live in other parts of the world you see what's missing in Canada. It's the basics.. access to medical care... education... and so on. It used to be amazing in Canada, now it's broken ? My wife and I talk about relocating back overseas all the time. Moving abroad with kids is hard, but we will eventually do it once all the bits line up :-)
