When I a Canadian went to live in another country we had to pay private healthcare insurance, also were responsible for the cost of of education for our children at private institutions ?? We had no expectations of a foreign country helping us, we were charged double the $$ as an expat for housing etc the government and peoples of those found these actions acceptable??

Step 1: Study at a legitimate school if you come here to study. 60-70% of the Indians, especially those from Punjab and Haryana study at these scam colleges attending bogus diplomas, often lured by agencies in India. How do you expect to get a good paying job with that diploma? Plus almost all these students barely speak any English. So you get automatically cornered to low-paying jobs at restaurants, fast food chains, etc. Working in the Canadian corporate world requires you to have the right skills and a good handle with English, which almost all these diploma graduates lack. I have not seen a single Indian student who graduated from UBC, McGill, McMaster, UVic, UofA, UWaterloo, etc struggle to find a job or get PR, and they almost always land good paying jobs.\n\nCanada has entered a correction phase. In the next 2-3 years, you will see a lot of these diploma students forced to leave the country.

International students from India are the very cause of the housing crisis in Canada, not to mention that they come with little money to survive and also have caused the big shortages at the food banks which were created by the citizens of Canada for the less fortunate citizens of Canada and not by international students who can't pay their own way because of lack of money. Every student who comes to USA for M.S. graduate studenfrom India pay only 1semister fee to colleges but they apply for 2 year tuition in Indian banks \n\nWhat is happening is colleges collect 1 semester fee and after 1st semester.\n\n students work part time at restaurants, gas stations, Motels grocery stoes. Mostly at non chain stores. \n\nLegally they are suppose to work on campus but they work off campus and earn and then pay for college. And some send to India they their friends illegally.\n\nThey travel up to 50 miles around to work. \n\nThese students work for cash and work for $7 to $8 per hour or even less.\n\nStore proprietors / owners tell these students if anyone comes for raid they will tell that they are working on voluntary basis and taking salary. So like this millions of students work illegally.\n\nAfter student comes out of college during OPT and stem OPTA they continue to work and approach consulting companies to generate payroll / trainee for no r a son just to give them status. \n\nDuring OPT these employers collect money to pay taxes and generate payroll and keep them to put them to work and maintain their status.\n\nThis does not stop here.\nH1-B workers who come from India on lottery 80% do not have clent jobs but they use back door and show that they have jobs and continue to pay taxes to show on paper that they are still working with a hope that they get jobs in future. And do part time work at restaurants, grocery store etc..\n\nStudents also stay in apartments in groups of 5 to 6 in 2 bed room unit and share and save money actual apartment lease is on only 2 people remaining people stay illegal.\n\nLandlord cooperation is there. \n\nthis situation is causing so much trouble to American citizens. Most Americans do not get a job even if they get paid low wages due to these unauthorized workers.\n\nCreate a department to report every local illegal student workers or H1-Bs or OPTs to ICE and disqualify them and cancel their visas.

The New Zealand Government has looked at problems with certain countries that have an issue with fake documentation, multi identity documentation, failure to attend educational Institutions as a foreign student, false partnership and marriage application. Also the vulnerable class 4 and 5 Accredited Employers Work Visa holders that have been scammed by employers or agents that do not pay wages, provide set hours, lie about providing accommodation etc.. A large percentage of these problems arise from inside these communities. That is for example a Chinese or Indian businesses owner that is a New Zealand Permanent Resident or Citizen sponsoring a Worker from either country and exploiting them.

H-1B is not a specialty occupation visa. It is a cheap labour visa for most of the US companies. It benefits only two groups. 1. Employers / Primary Vendors - Most of the Employers who are Indian GC/ American citizens who runs their LLC companies for 20-40 percent commission 2. Lawyers - who support these loopholes. This system needs to prioritize foreign students who are in top 10 % schools in the world and pay scale

If a person comes to America legally on a student or marriage visa, their parents have to pay everything to bring them here, and those individuals cannot receive government assistance for five years. However, if someone comes here illegally, they are given free housing, cars, money, healthcare, food stamps, and other benefits. We, Indians, put ourselves down.\n\nThey are;\n1) Out of 100 Indiands traveled abroad either for tourism or business, only 50 returns home, and the rest try to find jobs to live there.\n\n2) Many Indians forge documents or produce fake documents to get visas.\n\n3) Where the Indians go, they bring pan and pan parag items and spit sll over the place, especially the North Indians. I tell you in New Delhi there is special section of the city that dedicated to students going overseas. They make fake documents and fake college degrees and fake passports and fake visas. You just go and pay the guy ₹5000 and your process to come to Canada.

These students came for an education. You accepted the terms of that student visa and should thereby adhere to those terms. Many countries do offer jobs to international students who excel in their studies if there are available positions in that field that Canadians can not fill. It is Indian recruiters who have sold the residency idea both in India and Canada. It is these recruters that teach them how to defraud our systems and take your money. Once I just searched on google masters degree from foreign country, i literally got 100s of adds for months about Canadian, australian, german and US universities, So if i will take admission in those unis after paying whole saving of my family i atleast want to have rights to work in that country otherwise why would i leave my country as i still have middle class life here. You have been spot on about the situation in Canada, except for one thing. The Canadian government pays employers to employ foreign workers and foreign students. As a tenth generation Canadian( more up the native side ) I really resent being told by kalistanies that it's their land and all white people need to go back to Europe. They are very bold and obnoxious. Canadians are also edged out of spots in legitimate post secondary schools, because they make foreign students pay more. So they take them first. This is very racist to both Canadians and foreign students. First nobody should have to pay more than anyone else for the same service or goods. That's racist to foreign students. And the fact that they are taking foreigners first is racist to Canadians. The schools should be taking students by merit. You are right. Canada has fallen. The true problem is the greed of colleges - bringing the wrong kind of international students. Remember - the same India supplies the brightest brains to the USA. Like myself - thousands of high skill STEM field Indians are finding Canada to be the North American ghetto. We had high paying jobs and comfortable life in India - we moved for better value of our taxes and overall high quality of life but we are finding ourselves surrounded by same chaos and much worse healthcare. Girls, I came here as an international student, I make about 150K year, I pay aournd 45% of my salary in taxes and 2500 in rent, that is unfair. My job comes from the U.S. and now I have to face impossible PR process. Canada needs reforms for sure, but think twice, this is not the only country a highly skilled immigrant can go, the world is big, stop blaming international students for everything, we came here following the rules, and we did not write those rules. To be honest, I am seriously thinking about moving somewhere else including home. I have a nice house, pool and warm weather back home.

The problem of Canada is not migration or international students. International students bring millions of dollars to the country. They pay fees 3 times higher than local students. The problem is the economy, provinces, municipalities, private sector and professional newcomers are unable to build houses, apartments and provide services for more than 1 million of newcomers per year. The economy is completely closed to international companies, engineers, doctors. There are big monopolies who regulate and rule the market in association with a WOKE socialist government. There are 2 reasons behind bringing in so many international students. \n1. Greed of universities and colleges so they can charge them an exorbitant amount of fees and make billions. But Canadian universities saw how much money universities in the US are making so they asked the federal government to change the policy to enable them to charge international students several times the regular tuition (whereas in countries like France, international students actually pay less than citizens). So now Canadian universities rely too much on international students to operate and it becomes an exploitative relationship even before students step foot on the campus. The new PGWP eligibility is awful because students can make contributions in every field. It might (and that's a big if) address the pressing problems, but it won't help Canada grow.\n\nI thought the new language requirement was interesting. Some Canadians who immigrated decades ago when the bar was really low still speak English poorly and now they are saying people can’t come to Canada because their language skills are not sufficient. I support post secondary schools charging more to immigrants and foreign students. My university that I’m currently at charges a $2500 registration fee to international students. I a Canadian born citizen do not pay anything to register. I only pay for my classes. My university is also made up of mostly foreign students by charging foreign students more. It allows Canadians to be charged less so yes, I support schools charging more to foreign students.

What they are not telling taxpayers is that post-secondary school Administrators all gave themselves massive raises - like an extra 100k a year in some cases off the backs of international students paying fees and the government let them do it.

The locals just feel that the benefits they enjoy today are indeed the contributions they have made to society (including paying taxes) over the years.
