Picking a trade war with Canada, Mexico, China and major economics is a very bad idea. It will not bring anybody to the negotiation table to get a better deal. It will drive them away from US partnership and they form alliances, new trade routes and partnerships, de-dollarization, etc. Just think why does a country needs USD when they cannot trade with US. BRICS have overtaken G7 in the overall GDP. So, In the end, US will be left alone with limited trading partners. Canadian here. There's a lot of people in Canada that don't like Trudeau for a lot of reasons, but with the recent events I think the majority of the country has come to tolorate him a little while longer until we get a new Prime Minister. Trumps actions have only united the Canadian people.

He's living in a fairytale world fighting an unwinnable war. I think the US is right to pull the plug on financial aid to try to pressure Zelensky to negotiate to end the war. Unfortunately, to end the war Ukraine will likely have to concede the land they lost. But the reality is Putin will never give that land back. But it's better than more people dying everyday.
