Most of this issue is caused by north Indians who find it hard to assimilate especially the Sikhs. And the issue was caused by the canadian government who prioritized quantity over quality. As an indian immigrant there are times I feel disgusted by their behavior. Due to this behavior the nicer Indians who hold up canadian values are getting the same discrimination. Me myself is a catholic indian who had to leave the country because of the religious bullshit caused by north Indians. We were not even allowed to have a peaceful Christmas in India. As I moved to Canada I faced more racism from north Indians as I eat beef and pork and dont speak hindi. It breaks my heart everytime when I get discriminated from people thinking that i am a punjabi. I just want to live a normal life and follow my faith. Its sad that they dont let us live peacefully in india and in Canada.

You should see the state of the GTA at this point, it's ridiculous. I grew up there, in the span of just 30 years it's like a night and day difference in demographics. We went from a high-trust society that could leave our doors unlocked during the day to the exact opposite. You can't walk around at night in some areas anymore, there is just so much violence now. Especially from gangs or wannabe fake gansters.

We have the same driving issues coming into Springfield, Missouri. I see it all the time, especially on the northern part of town. People bring their bad driving habits to the United States and pretend that the traffic laws don't apply to them. For some reason, many countries ignore road safety and because of that, they bring it to other countries who do take it seriously and ruin everything.

As an Indian who's been in Canada for 20+ years, I don't want it to turn into India. Deportation is needed, especially illegals and criminals.

I went to Canada on holiday about 4 years ago and i definitely noticed this but i would argue that it makes the place feel culturally diverse and there were alot of south east asians aswell especially in Toronto

What you have to understand are that the indians that came here 10+ years ago or the ones born here are completely different than the new ones especially these fake "international students". The ones that moved here before had the social capital, finances and resources to move. The new ones, their family bring them over or they use student visas bc they dont have the wealth. I know what you're thinking 😁 See for the last couple centuries industrialized nations all over the world have been importing people like potatoes. And there is a very good reason for that. See over the last couple hundred years you have made many advances in technology medicine and law enforcement. Your people however aren't having fifteen children anymore and your population is therefore receding. You then have to import people i.e. drain all the brains from around the world. Immigrants are also more eager to come if things back home aren't good especially when the world is bombing your pants off. Also things like rampant corruption that make it extremely difficult to live an honest life. They're also having children upon children because technology doesn't yet exist and so god told them to. 🦫 We are finite beings in an infinite universe. Also, you cannot stop immigration.

How about we decided to end homelessness especially in London Ontario? Would that be too much to ask instead of sending money to Ukraine?

MORATORIUM for immigration is needed for at least 10 years 2026-2036, all those on expired visas need to leave or sent home by force. We cannot accept and integrate more immigrants, especially from CERTAIN countries.

Employers — including major banks and other leading organizations — have hired temporary workers without properly verifying their status or detecting fake documentation. Canada needs a clear hiring principle: priority should be given to Canadian citizens and Permanent Residents first, and only when no qualified applicants exist should other categories be considered. LMIA approvals should be paused to prevent misuse and ensure fairness for those who have followed the legal pathway. Strengthening verification processes and enforcing employer accountability would help restore integrity and fairness in both the immigration and employment systems. Many of these immigrants have sacrificed their assets and life savings in their home countries, embraced Canada as their new motherland, and now find themselves suffering with no realistic path to return — making fairness and accountability in the system even more essential.

As an American, I am ignorant about Canada and its immigration policy, and so wonder how much stated in this video are lies due to racism, and how much is true? For example, the Indians who come to the US are vetted, are educated, and work hard. Since the 90s, most of the Indians who come to the US are not Punjabi Sikhs, nor are they Muslim. Punjabis came earlier, but since the tech boom, most who come are Hindus usually from Southern India. About 20% are also Christian. These Hindu and Christian Indians from Southern India are model minorities. Think of these kids who do well in the Spelling Bee. No crime, no trash, just educated hard working folks. Especially here where I am in San Jose, CA. So are these Canadians lying, or are the type of Indians who go to Canada worse? Those with fake diploomas or Sikhs claiming refugee status due to their religion and not being safe in Hindu India? Something is amiss bc how can these Indian immigrants be so different? If Canada is not vettung their immigrants why not? I also know that a coworker of mine who is from Southern India, his niece recently secured a visa to Canada and she is a Radiation Oncologist, an occupation Canada is in need of. So assumed lie the US, Canada is letting in needed skilled workers.

It isn’t nearly enough. It would be better to secure our borders so people can’t just walk across. It isn’t rocket science. We do not have the responsibility to take in every person who crosses our border especially when their first step on western land was the US.

Personally as an Indian, I really feel bad about it. Unfortunately, we DO go to other countries for a chance at better life and dignity, but a lot us Indians then start to feel privileged and entitled and do not adapt to the culture of the country they are in, and force their own cultures and individual beliefs. This sucks, especially as a young guy who dreams of living in other countries, while respecting their cultures and planning to adapt to them. Even in India too, we don't really pay much taxes since we know its gonna go into corruption anyway, so the Immigrant residents in Brampton may have carried forward that practice as their habit. This gets a lot of us good folks, generalized for no reason too, Although, I do understand the anti-Indian sentiments foreigners have towards us, but again.. not every Indian are like that, since it has also been pointed out by few others. The problem is immigration back in day was a luxury in India so only riches made it outside and they were rich compared to others after independence because they were more pro british and served them. So it was easy for them to immigrate and assimilate into your culture. Now you see many poor people also immigrating because immigration became more accessible, its just like the touchscreen phones, before only rich people had them, but later and now everyone has it. Plus your overly liberal and the stupid point system lets anyone enter the country if they meet a specific criteria, they barely check their english, background, crime record, etc. Also, living in India is a survival, or a nightmare for short. Especially for the poor people in the up north, and so they go to these shady agents who claim that they can send him or her to Canada, UK, Australia where ever they want in exchange for some money. Sometimes these agents turnout to be scams and sometimes not, then these students apply to some fake university that has no campus in Canada and select a course thats easy. Then once approved they come to canada, don’t go to university and make some other indian friends who say they have contacts with some job providers and through that the students get their jobs at the fast food joints and shopping malls. The mindset with which these students come to Canada is that I want to get a simple job as soon as I land in Canada and through that job I can get a PR. They never go to assimilate or discover the culture, they come because the country looks nice, has resources, and will provide them with a good salary so that they send some money back home to their parents as compared to low paying jobs in India, which too are super competitive. They still like the indian way of life, the culture, the food, the attire, just not in India. Thats why you’ll never see these students eating at anything other than a Indian Punjabi Restaurant or a fast food joint, they will never make white friends, they will never try to change the way they speak and look at Canadians, they will never try to change their driving habits. In conclusion, more poor people and students migrating, paired with their mindset of “I want everything to be Indian just not in India but in a place that looks better” paired with their low interest in actually learning and working better jobs is what makes them a bad immigrant group. But thats not to say that all are like that its only some and mostly Punjabis/ other North Indians that have this mindset. The reason why the Indian group in USA is much better and successful is because they are mostly of south indian descent. Those people are far more educated, actually respect the law of the land. And fun fact: The stereotypical Indian Accent originated from USA mainly and reason why many indians say that they don’t speak in that accent is because that particular stereotypical accent is present in Indian people who come from the states of Andra Pradesh and Telegana, which is is where most of the Indians in USA are actually from. They can protest as much as they want. The reality is that way too many of them come here to go on welfare + get a social housing + aaaaaaaaaaallllllllllllll the free services: free school, free healthcare, surgeries, special schools for handicapped kids. The list of free stuff they receive doesn't end. Good deal good deal! That's great for them but terrible for us. All the social housing that we build and pay for are almost exclusively made for immigrants (especially Arabs and Haitians). We Canadians are a nice bunch of suckers. The good old "Let's go to Canada to go on welfare and get social housing" must end.

I believe it was a temporary program introduced during the pandemic. This whole segment doesn’t delve enough into the background to be sure of exactly who this is going to effect and how. That’s just bad journalism. I’d like to know because I cross the path of many immigrants and care about them. If the federal government’s economic plans work out, there could be more demand for workers in the coming year, especially in and around Montreal - I also pay attention to announcements of companies setting up or expanding here - and this might be another example of the CAQ shooting themselves in the foot again. They seem oblivious that an election is coming next fall.

Good. Canada does not have enough jobs for its own. All those people unemployed & on social assistance can now take those jobs given to foreigners - especially with minimum wage being so high now. Employers need to employ people within, not outside the country!!!! All these jobs held by foreigners are draining Canada of $$$ because they are not putting their earnings back into the economy, they are sending it back home. Whereas, Canadians invest right back into our own economy. We buy & invest in Canada.

I can tell you that there is something significant that this country is not addressing: "fake degrees" coming out of India, especially in the field of Health Sciences and Engineering. I'm a recruiter at one of the largest recruiting agencies in Ontario (Toronto), but I've been noticing something unusual about the degrees coming out of India. This is something that the government needs to address. I guarantee you, if they can do a thorough investigation, something may come out, "something not good".

This is happening at varying scales in many cities all over the US as well. Growing up in the 90s and 00s in suburban Minneapolis, we had a very small population of Indians. About ten years ago, they built a large all new subdivision near my hometown that is now 90% Indian. Target Corporate is to blame for the initial push, as they opened an office in India and then had many of them relocating to the Minneapolis office. A recent trip to Dallas, every Uber I took was an Indian or Middle eastern driver. California, especially the Bay Area has an enormous Indian community as well.

I am from India came to Canada legally (gone through 7 months of processing and waiting , submitted countless documents , photos , chat history to prove relation status and professional experience, literally submitted all my life story) to obtain PR and come to Canada just to realize that people without any of these come from different parts of the world especially India bypassing the system and living better life working cash jobs and doing random stuff. When i went to take driving license first time, An Indian origin guy rejected my application saying that my Indian License wasn't looking original enough , where I have seen people who couldn't even speak basic English were applying to get license to drive trucks. It is sad to see how many of our people are bringing a lot of 'Indianness' to this country and live like it is their own turf. I have met many young and middle aged individuals who call themselves students who doesn't even have a clue of what they are studying. It is unbelievable how people of certain status live their life partying and enjoying breaking all sort of rules , dropping out of college etc. when people who are here legally and many Canadians struggling to pay rent / mortgages / insurances etc. Don't even want to talk about job security , its a joke. Let’s take it one lie at a time. First the video opens saying over 850k inhabitants, within a minute or two all of a sudden the population is now 750k. Meanwhile the actual population is 650k. Brampton has not been a city of 18k or 28 k as many for at least 60 years. In 1980 the population of Brampton was over 200k, so very far above the supposed 28k. Slightly over 150k are from India or of Indian ancestry, so not a majority. A little under a third of Brampton inhabitants are immigrants. Again not a majority. Homeless shelters are usually found in churches, especially ones with homeless centers in them like the one visited by the video crew. 4 bigots in the streets is what was interviewed to present a bigoted view of a city. Immigrants are a good thing and Sikhs are especially kind people, but there needs to be checks and balances which Canada has failed miserably at.
