The only thing I can see is auto sales are slumping and maybe they can blame this on the tariff policy for massive restructuring. \n\nI kind of understand wanting to negotiate with Mexico because they probably buy less American goods than Americans buy Mexican goods (drugs excluding) but I’m guessing Canada is a better customer of American goods than Americans are of Canadian goods. Why would you want to upset a good partner, customer, and ally!? It’s Beyond my comprehension…. If Trump was really smart he’d convince some factories to actually invest in Mexico with cooperation from the Mexican government investing in efficient transportation from the manufacturing sectors to the American border and the coasts for distribution. This would likely really help their economy and change the whole dynamic of all the things Trump has issues with. Fix it at the source not try to treat the symptoms.

Guess what! they fear because they know their actions were illegal. I get some citizens who have certain backgrounds being nervous but fear? No as they are already in the system and safe. Do you think American importers will continue to import highly tariffed commodities like bananas and coffee?! I'm guessing your friend who gave birth for the cost of $3000 had no complications and good insurance, because from what I've read, the cost without insurance is between $30,000 and $50,000 which is insane to me. As for emerg wait times - I live in a small town in rural Alberta & have never had a problem. Recently had to go to emerg. Was triaged, saw Dr., had xrays & was given Rx. Was in and out in 30 minutes and of course I paid nothing out of pocket. I feel pretty lucky to live here.

can't give an opinion about living in USA, because I never stayed for long (only for vacations or short visits), but as a visitor, I used to go once or twice a week in the 90's (I used to live 5 minutes drive from the border), as a visitor, I was always welcomed and made friends very easily. Of course, being only a visitor, I didn't have to experience day to day life or any major problems. About police presence, I guess it depends where you go in USA, I'm from Montreal & we also have a very visible police presence (guess it's common in bigger cities). Didn't have any problems with police in USA, like everywhere, if you comply, you'll have good relationship with policemen. If you try to play or disrespect them, you're in for some trouble--no different here in Canada.

A lot of Indians treat white people really badly. Especially when there is money involved. It’s now extremely common that people here hate dealing with Indians as customers of their business and will go as far as avoid it altogether. They will often relentlessly try to negotiate services, lie and say anything to get get their way, pester businesses until they cave to their demands and even leave bad reviews which they say they will change if you give them a good deal. None of this is the way things are done in Canada and that needs to be respected. Something kind of funny, I’ve heard many people say that Indians will often say they will refer tons of friends and family to a business if you give them an unreasonable discount (which they never do once they’ve gotten what they want), but what they don’t realize is that referring a bunch more Indians to them is the last thing that business wants. And really, some of the discounts they want on things are just ridiculous. When I was selling my car a few years ago, I had it listed for $55,000 and I got bombarded by Indians offering $20,000-$25,000 and every lie under the sun of why that’s all it was worth, other people are saying yes to offers like that for the same car, dealerships are selling them for that much and so on. Like come on. And I guess while I’m at it, I hate to say but it’s a common thing here to walk into a gas station and the smell of body odour just hits you like a brick. I’ve stopped going to 3 different stations because of it. I’m sure there’s some pungent white people out there but damn. This is on a whole other level. It literally fills the entire building.

wow this is just an opinion video of sorts, but guess i'm proud to live in montreal. i own the last army surplus store here. 1423 st laurent. i love montreal as a city, the food is second to none for all of north america. um, weather is full winter during dec to feb. i also live near magog in the eastern townships which is beautiful.\ni've been to pei, love it there, great beaches and very quiet. never been to BC, and living here, i would never visit the middle of canada, just flat and boring and drugs are a big problem and homelessness. cabot trail in ( i did it on bicycle) is fabulous. quebec city, amazing.\ni'm a proud canadian and surely there are far worse countries in the world to live in. but when i retire full time , it will leave for a warmer climate (snow bird) in the winter. not florida, too busy and not nearly as nice as the Caribbean, i go to Curacao 1 month every winter. perfect weather and being dutch has great food and is safe island and beaches are second to none........

Canada wants immigrants so they can pay them cheap for meanial jobs that nobody wants to do. Period. All your efforts spent getting a degree in something will be worth nothing here. Period. Even if you consider yourself super smart with an IQ above average and think you can defy the system, think better: yes you can go to school here and get your degree recognized, but is gonna take a lot of time and money, you'll probably have to work two jobs under shitty weather and pay the rent for an apartment not bigger than a shoebox, not to mention the college fees. Is it worth it? After 15 years spent here first as an immigrant and now as a citizen, I still have to understand what makes Canada so appealing to people. A tariff from Mexico to the US, will skyrocket the price of millions of products such as tomatoes, avocados, strawberries, onions, garlic, ginger, bananas, pineapples, mushrooms, potatoes, and more fruits, vegetables, tortillas, and more products that are products from Mexico. I'm a US citizen living in Honduras. I'm sorry, because this is unrelated, but I want to let people know..... Today I was condemned to fight cancer alone. When my cancer was discovered for the first time, it was because I had seizures. Because of this, I can't drive. Because I can't drive, I can't get a decent job in The US. For a spousal visa, you need to have a certain amount of money. I don't have it. No matter that we have it together - being the citizen, that responsibility is solely on me. A humanitarian visa is $730, and only good for one use. We can't afford that. We went for a tourist visa, with a emergency appointment. They approved the emergency appointment, then promptly denied my husband's visa, without even asking him WHY he wanted to go to The US. Fighting cancer alone is exhausting. Why is that not a good enough reason for my husband to go to The US with me? Only for my appointments. Why is that not good enough? I guess he'll meet my family at my funeral, but not before.

My main concerners are human decency and the chance that a legal immigrant will get caught up in the mix.\n\nFirstly, i am concerned we will return to the concentration camps of the 1900s and the people in them wont have adequate supplies and support ehile they wait to be deported.\n\nSecondly my concern is for those on a green card or other form of legal immigration getting caught up in the mix and not being let go. If you have come here and submitted the proper paperwork to be here then you should be allowed to stay until your paperwork has been processed.
