I don't hate the immigrants themselves, but the way our country handles immigration. I'll be the first to admit it's getting harder to keep those two things separate. What compounds that hate is since I've been looking at moving out of this country... it's disheartening that most countries (rightfully so) make you have to be able to both assimilate and afford to fend for yourself to get a immigrants visa. It's not about race or culture. It's just too much is too much. Too much for our health care system. Too much for our economy to handle. Too many jobs are now scarce. Get rid of international students from this particular country. They have no right to stay. Stop giving licenses to unqualified people that can't read, write, speak or even understand English. What can anyone take away that America doesn't have right now. 70% of the population is damn near homeless and the avg job pays 14$ a hr. We already can't afford food way before trump got elected if our president thinks this is best then trust him\nWe want to much quick solutions. Let me share this with people that may not know much about the history our country.\n\nIf you want to understand just how pissed off Canadians are with the US right now, here is one lil detail. Quebec, a province that has LONG grappled with wanting to secede from Canada is now proudly waving the flag in defiance of Trump's nonsense. \n\n\nLet that sink in.

If we are going to be an authoritarian, antidemocratic, fascist dictatorship, we have to shed our old friends who would get all judgy about the the human rights abuses. So, step one, destroy relationships with friends. Step two, buddy up to Putin and other dictatorships who will be glad to trade and associate with us even if we do run concentration camps or whatever.\nOr Trump is sucking Putin's butt again for mysterious reasons. He likes it so much, like a drug addict, he is willing to lose everything . If it were just a matter of his individual tastes, I don't get it, but none of my business. Except by dragging the whole country down for his kink, it is out business. So, I think we should cut Trump lose to go to Russia and run around on his knees chasing Putin as much as he likes. Meanwhile, we need a president and I can only say F-no to Vance and I don't know how many other dictator butt goblins in the line of succession, so, since Trudeau is going to be looking for work, lets make and exception and hire him for president. I'd much rather have one with a pro-Canada bias than one one who seems to think he is Putin's Elon Musk.

So much respect for you, sir. Showing what a real leader is supposed to act like. be like. My one great country has been taken over by right wing extremists. Put into power by my fellow Americans who have just lost their way. Bought into all the hate that he has brought. This American has always thought of Canada as a major friend. And will continue to do so. This American stands with Canada I stand with Ukraine I stand against Putin and always will.

Trudeau did the right thing, here. As a result of Trump's casual threats against their Country, Canada will become more self-sufficient, moving forward. And they are likely backchanneling & fast-tracking the ability to become nuclear capable, as well. And I don't blame them one bit.

Have any of you Canadians looked into what Canada imports vs exports .......... remeber all those new green deal garbage is out the window here in the USA, so lumber is going back up , mining , etc . Just because our countries are next to each other doesn't make us neighbors......... your country has allowed trahs polices to over ride your citizen rights, you've filled your country with migrants , you support crazy sick policies allowing sexual perversion to be put before public saftey . If your countries economy is so effected by this maybe you need this , got a little to relaxed riding tr he coat tails of being next to America. And don't take it personal , this isn't about you as a country but more about American calling out americna companies who build factories only your side , get great deals for taxes and then import the products back to American at a premium retail price and then profit off the American people while offering nothing back .........the end goal is to either make thise companies pay more to get products over the boarder , or bring the factories back here and employee americans .........and last I check the Canadian government doesn't own or produce any products so the things that will be imported to usa will be the ones with a cost rise to the companies that are producing them ........ them............

I cannot see any sanity, logic, or forward looking, with putting tariffs on our allies. It is hurtful to everyday Americans. Who benefits from this? The wealthy, like t-rump, and his cronies. Meanwhile the traitorious Supreme Court works on bending the law to suit t-rumps bidding. We are early in this presidency. If you think inflation was a very serious concern of t-rump or the repubies, why doesn't he fix it right now? What he is doing is causing inflation to skyrocket with no end in sight. Those of you wealthy who think t-rump is right are a leach who feeds off of taking from those who have little to nothing. If t-rump wanted to he could fix it on day one like he said. He has no idea what he is doing - laying off thousands of federal workers. He wants to bring jobs to America by becoming a traitor to our very faces with putin. you repubes are all traitors to what the Flag stands for. Those jobs won't come in the next 4 years. If there are no manufacturing plants in the U.S. we will have to build them. How long will it take to build these factories and tool them up to accept workers? None of what the repubes agenda is set about bringing jobs to America - the way I see it, we are losing jobs now. The factories won't be ready for years.
