Ironically the Chinese are probably legitimately refugees purely because the CCP is refusing to receive them back, there is also the fact that they are fleeing communism in support of capitalism…..

Ironic that China is refusing deportees when their country is facing a population crisis

I am Cuban. I came to the US legally in 1967. My parents left their families and everything behind in order to give my sisters and me a better life in the freedom and democracy of the US. We flew out of Cuba the day after my 7th birthday. I was young but old enough to see the look on my mother’s face and my grandmother’s face to realize that they new they were never going to see each other again. We left a land ruled by an iron fisted dictator. It was the sacrifice of a lifetime for my parents to bring us kids here and now my sisters can’t understand why I don’t want to talk to them because they have voted for a man who wants to be a dictator, who disrespects women and took away their right to control their bodies(I have a college graduate daughter….what if someday she needs an abortion to save her life because the fetus did not develop right?), a man who is clearly a racist in every sense of the word, who only projects hate and division, but does everything he can for white billionaire men. This Mexican-American woman and my sisters disgust me. My sisters have betrayed my parents and the sacrifice they made.

I see lots of comments bashing these folks and I get it, sort of. Trump won by a landslide, and most of his supporters want mass deportation. I find that ironic insomuch as everyone here, other than Native Americans, are or are descendants of immigrants. Did they all come here legally? And for those whose ancestors did, how much easier was it way back then. Plenty of hypocrisy to go around.

The whole network African diaspora cannot be taken seriously. Even Africans in Africa bear a share of the responsibility; they were not innocent in the transatlantic slave trade but rather acted as accomplices by selling their people into slavery. Those African traitors have harboured resentment toward Haitians, likely because Haitian warriors put an end to the nonsensical enslavement propagated by both European and African participants. Ironically, Black Americans and others often overlook the lesson of unity taught by Haitian liberators. Haiti sacrificed greatly, aiming to protect humanity, yet the world turned its back, leaving Haiti to bear the consequences of Western exploitation and punishment itself. All Haiti has ever sought was to establish fair business relations, yet, understandably, Western countries may be reluctant. However, for Black people, Hispanics, Africans, and other marginalized groups—what is your excuse? The continued grievances about mistreatment under white supremacy ring hollow when we see a lack of solidarity among themselves. Perhaps, in that light, some would argue that the hardships from white supremacy are no less than deserved. Long live the Haitian revolution of 1804, a date of humanity’s liberation.

Trump looks at his followers as a means to an end. How ironic.

They don't talk to her because she a horrible person. How many white people make money from illegal immigrants working in their fields and stores. More jobs will be lost with Trump and his bf Elon. Ironic how they voted for the person who gets them laid off. So shall ye reap!
2024-11-11 0
Oh the iron y of that Mexica migrant saying she wants to take “our” country back! Jeez these people!
2024-11-09 0
The sad reality is that if Trump follows through with his plan, he will only be deporting those people on the list he already has; that is, the list of people who came here legally. Ironic!
2024-11-08 0
It's ironic and sad because the first Cuban lady and her family will probably be deported. Commandment Stephen Miller and Trump will follow the Project 2025 plan which calls for denaturalizing and deporting any citizens not born in the US. I guess she didn't take the time to read that.
2024-11-08 0
It's a racist agenda. Ironic, most of the whites here are Jewish decent. Hitler hated Jews. These racist voters are incredibly uneducated.
2024-11-08 0
I see many of you are still struggling to understand how Trump won. It’s many fold, but I can some it up rather concisely.\n\nYour entire mantra was “Vote for us so we can have our way and do what I want or democracy dies”\n\nWhich is so ironic that the thing you think will happen is what that statement represents. \n\nAdd on that, you attacked your political opponent for 8 years with lies, rhetoric (which included degrading remarks about the general populace) and a weak economy and weak foreign policy with a severe influx of illegal immigration. \n\nYou did this to yourselves

Ironically, if Democrats weren’t so eager for Latin Americans to enter our country Harris might not have lost so bad on Tuesday lol.

the white guy saying that is ironic..

So ignorant to leave your country in fear of a dictator and you elect another one in your new country. It’s so ironic.

I understand the criminal portion but, I find it ironic when they say criminals considering the current state of affairs. smh

it's not only what he WILL do, it's all the things he DID do that he will now get away with that really makes this election a spectacular failure. The voters basically exonerated him for PAST offenses like Jan 6, the classified docs, etc. that he will never face accountability for now. Voters also told him it's ok to pardon the insurrectionists. All for the price of eggs, which ironically will increase now after all the tariffs.

Ironic the guy wpuld be reciting the pledge, considering it has the words one nation! Trump has divided this country.

Kind of ironic that people get angry at the immigrants while these wealthy nations have been built upon plundering the resources of these nation where the immigrants come from. This conflict will continue until the people of the world achieve economic equality in the truest sense. I can’t wait.

This is an everyday reality: even the comments under this video prove that racism is being normalized. Being a non white immigrant in Canada for decades - I have not seen white Canadians so openly racist. Yes they were gaslighting minorities before but only in the last couple of years I faced racism so open and brutal . Let me tell you something grandma : when you end up in residential care because your kids put you there , it’s that Philippina nurse that will take care of you, your healthcare will be supported by the paychecks of those Indian people because your generation did not produce enough people to sustain your rapidly growing aging cohort. I am sorry that towards the end of your life you hold so much hatred in your heart - it can’t be good for your health or your final judgement day. Ironic, but your grandkids could merry one of us non-white people and your great grand kids could have an accent or brown skin colour. I am saddened by all what I am witnessing. But hopeful that humanity will prevail.

It's ironic when immigrants, who were once newcomers themselves, develop anti-immigrant sentiments and blame immigrants for causing problems. It just doesn't make sense, especially coming from a country like Canada, which is known for its sensible and inclusive approach.

Colonizers saying that ! How ironic

Oh, Brampton’s over 80% non-white, and now it’s a 'mass immigration crisis,' is it? Interesting. I wonder how the Indigenous people felt when waves the Europeans came over and started making themselves at home. You know, back when mass immigration also happened, except the native population didn’t exactly get a warm welcome either—more like the opposite.\n\nI mean, isn’t it ironic? A country built on immigration now complaining about… immigration. It’s almost like history has a sense of humor. But hey, at least now we have the internet so everyone can share their thoughts on 'who belongs' in a land that wasn’t really theirs to begin with. Funny how that works, right?\n\nOh yes, Canadian culture and values—those timeless, ancient traditions that go all the way back to… the last couple of centuries? I mean, forgive me, but when exactly did Canada, a country that came into existence through colonization, suddenly develop this pure, distinct culture that’s now under 'threat'?\n\nLet’s talk about Canadian values—like diversity, inclusion, and… oh wait, that’s only good until people from different backgrounds actually show up. Then it’s suddenly a 'crisis.' Classic.\n\nAnd what exactly are we preserving here? Maple syrup and hockey? Because, newsflash, multiculturalism is Canadian culture now. It’s the same 'values' that were conveniently forgotten when Indigenous communities were being erased. But sure, let’s act like a few more immigrants are going to dismantle the grand, rich, centuries-old tapestry of... Tim Hortons and politeness.\n\nHonestly, if the presence of more people of color is that threatening to 'Canadian values,' maybe those values were never that strong to begin with.

You know you're down bad when your own ppl won't help you ?. Isn't it ironic that this was the problem of the jews in early 1900s when nobody wanted to take them in smfh

I was in Taiwan recently. Ironically the Taiwanese mostly all dream of coming to Canada or the States, thinking it's like it was in 1991. Some Chinese people (in Thailand) from China see Taiwan as a beacon of hope for Chinese democracy. \nI think the sad truth is NONE of the developed countries in the West have very good long-term prospects. \nAnd it's obvious that Bill Gates, Soros, their bosses, and their puppet politicians are following a plan. Covid was a battle in the war of the 1% against the rest of us.

That's very interesting. I've lived in South Korea for the past 35 years and, in many ways, have enjoyed a privileged life here. After the COVID outbreak, II quit my job and traveled all around the world, including 1yr staying in Toronto. During that period, I experienced firsthand the inflation and social challenges Canada was facing. After much thought, I came to the same realization as you—I need to leave my home country. Ironically, I’m about to move to the very place you're leaving.???I admire your courage in embracing this new challenge and hope you find a place you'll truly love. I’d like to share a humble opinion I’ve thought during my travels and followed news from everywhere. The surging housing price, cost of living, homelessness, social unrest, and immigration concerns are global issues, particularly in so-called developed countries. I believe these aren't just problems unique to Canada but part of a wider systemic issue. Every society is attempting to tackle these problems in its own way. There's no perfect haven, so it’s crucial to consider whether a society's approach to solving these issues aligns with your own values. This is especially important for those of us looking for a new place to call home. By the way, I'm really curious to see where you'll settle down. keep posting on that. Cheers to you.??

It shouldn’t be a sharp reduction. It should be a complete stop! although I do find it a little ironic that we take the land from the Indians (natives) and a different kind of Indian takes the land from us, so I really doubt the natives are doing anything but laughing right now and maybe crying over population increase and rights being ignored due to population growth. All I have to say is be careful driving in the correct lane because in our city so many accidents with drivers driving on the left side and having a head on collision. Fun times ?

It’s ironic what the Turkish man is saying about the country not being foreign language friendly. Most people find Turkey very impatient with others not knowing the language

Your video pin had 2 indians and 1 black person, i would respect it more if you just gave the countries of these students and spouses so we don't play these dog whistle games. I refuse to believe students from the Caribbean are making up these numbers so lets be clear and stop playing skin games. I hope youd feel as angered if they came from your country...can tell youre not Canadian through n through. How ironic!

Filthy , smelly , rude , dishonest , cheap , violent , simply odd and awkward . I went to the Bay department store in Ottawa to buy a bottle of perfume , the Indian sales lady smelled so horrible and looked so gross and disheveled ( ironic ) that I had to leave her a note concerning her personal hygiene while on her period ?and gave up the idea of buying anything at all . God’s truth !

In your opening you were telling the Australian story too of paradise fumbled in the last decade or two, until you got to the homeless encampments, public opioid epidemic and laxness on crime, which hasn't gotten such a move-on here as yet. But there's no doubt that Western governments in general have refused to grapple with the rising problems of the 21st Century and done their best to import the troubles of the world. Thing is, whenever I see the news from other countries it's no better and usually worse so maybe, ironically, that small town in Saskatchewan will look better than you gave it credit for once your travels are done.

The scene reminds me how natives felt when European settlers come and grab their lands and their resources. Now same immegrants doesn't want to take any more immegrants. That's quite ironic. Apart from anti - immigrants Canadians should also focuse on who already immegrated and involved in crimes. Then only you and your children could live peaceful life.

It's ironic because Liberals always complain about how Conservatives only want to make their friends rich, etc, but who is this policy of the Liberals benefiting if not large companies? It's definitely not helping Canadians or front line workers. Also, why did it take them 8-9 YEARS to figure this out? You just realized this now!?

It's ironic that while some Canadian people are suffering from the changes brought by immigrants today, Indigenous communities are still suffering from the changes that colonizers imposed on them long ago such as land rights, environmental concerns, health and social inequities, violence against Indigenous women, the legacy of residential schools, slow progress on reconciliation, and cultural revitalization.

I'm puzzled by the constant negativity and sense of entitlement I've encountered. As an immigrant from the EU, I've lived in Germany for six years and have only experienced racism once, at a club entrance. Ironically, I faced more racism in my own country during elementary school. In contrast, I've never encountered any discrimination in my job, studies, or social interactions here. Germans from various backgrounds, including dorms, sports teams, and university, have welcomed me to their gatherings. I'm a person of color and speak imperfect German, yet I've been treated with kindness and respect.\n\nGermany has offered me free education and incredible opportunities in industry and research. While I'm not wealthy, my quality of life is significantly better than it was in my home country, with plenty of room for improvement. I'm grateful for these opportunities and willing to contribute to the community. My advice is simple: be thankful for what you have, try your best, and if you're not a good fit, consider moving elsewhere and express your gratitude. It's that straightforward.
