There’s nothing Canada can do when they have a surplus of 150 billion with US so if US put terrace at 25% and can put Terrace at 25% then Trump put it at 100 who’s gonna feel the pinch everything that has American they have gas they have wood they have all the minerals of Canada has they don’t need Canada for anything. And you think that I’m proud of American. I’m actually Canadian but I’m a realist needs America America doesn’t need Canada.

wow this is just an opinion video of sorts, but guess i'm proud to live in montreal. i own the last army surplus store here. 1423 st laurent. i love montreal as a city, the food is second to none for all of north america. um, weather is full winter during dec to feb. i also live near magog in the eastern townships which is beautiful.\ni've been to pei, love it there, great beaches and very quiet. never been to BC, and living here, i would never visit the middle of canada, just flat and boring and drugs are a big problem and homelessness. cabot trail in ( i did it on bicycle) is fabulous. quebec city, amazing.\ni'm a proud canadian and surely there are far worse countries in the world to live in. but when i retire full time , it will leave for a warmer climate (snow bird) in the winter. not florida, too busy and not nearly as nice as the Caribbean, i go to Curacao 1 month every winter. perfect weather and being dutch has great food and is safe island and beaches are second to none........

This is my first time watching your content. It saddens me that you've come to feel as you do. I'm 72 YO and had the good fortune to be born among people who had survived a world war. They knew bullshit when they heard it. I served in the Canadian Army 1968-74. Like you, I've been a lot of places, and seen a lot of things. I do casual work at McMaster and interact with a lot of people. It feels like somebody else's country. Everyone seems so ignorant of our history. Worse, my Jewish friends no longer feel safe here. The Canada that I served so proudly as a soldier no longer exists. We could liquidate and leave, but these colours don't run.

Sorry to hear you’re leaving Canada….I haven’t been watching your vids lately but will catch up. As someone born and raised in Toronto, I love being in Canada. I’m proud to be Canadian. Unfortunately, I am sad to say that we have been going so downhill ever since Trudeau and his gang of idiots came in AND the pandemic. It’s not really easy to maintain your finances here anymore, so many people are struggling in this country. You can’t really afford anything today, it’s so sad. I’m unhappy with what has been happening to our country and the state we’re in. As you said, problems have arisen and continue to plague this country, from crime, cost of living, homeless crisis and quality of life.\n\nIf other of my fellow Canadians are leaving this “great” country, that’s their choice. But I am staying here and going to deal with its problems. I love this country with all my heart, and I don’t think I would move anywhere to a different country. Yes anyone that moves out of here is your choice but….there’s no other great country in the world than here. I’m staying here and I think that’s a good thing. I’m a proud Canadian citizen almost 50 years. I started to work at the next day I arrived to Canada.Despite my University degrees I did the job as janitor,shirt order cook,waitress,etc. till I found and learn a new profession in exciting photography business. I stopped working when I lost my eyes vision. Why the people who came from Middle East are mostly preferred being on Government benefits? They don’t wish to assimilate and accept our values!They covered their faces by hijabs and used all privileges as housings (all new affordable apartments and townhouses belong to them),free medical services and benefits -given to Muslim immigrants. Why it’s happened? I’m not a racist,and not against Muslims religious but I’m against that such a welcomed generosity of our Government.

Not so acurate information. During the college time students can work only 20h/week. Unless it has changed. \n\nAlso, it’s IMPOSSIBLE to get permanent residency before graduation because you need Canadian experience (full time) for at least 1 year in specialized areas. \n\nOnly if you successfully complete your program you get the full time work visa per 3y. In this time it’s going to be possible TO APPLY for permanent residence. \n\nBut not only that. Canadian experience give you extra points in the immigration program, but also a Bachelor’s degree, or a master degree, work experience in your back country, English level, and age. \n\nI don’t know for certain countries if the rules are different, but as long as I know, it’s the same for everybody. \n\nWhen I came as an international student, I had to prove the college was paid, also show I had enough money to support myself for 1y without work. Also, the program at college that costs $4000/semester for a Canadian student, it costs $8-10.000 for an international student. \n\nMy work visa (during college) allowed me 20h per week working only. \n\nTo get my study visa approved I had to show intermediate English, money, work experience, Bachelor’s degree (I have also a master’s), and explain why I wanted to study in Canada and why that program was related to my current career. \n\nTalking about jobs; I have worked as a housekeeper in a hospital (on weekends). After I graduated I became supervisor. \n\nSome people complain about students and immigrants getting the jobs, but what I’ve seen was a lot of people complaining EVERY DAY about their jobs, about their lives, etc…but doing absolutely nothing to change it.\n\nI got here as a student, I became immigrant, I worked as a cleaner, I graduated at college.after 2y working full time I got the permanent residence, and I was back to school. \nI got a Master’s degree at McMaster University, and now I am a manager in a big hospital. \nImmigrants taking the jobs??? I don’t believe so. I did to deserve it. \n\nSo, don’t put everybody on the same basket. There are bad people I know, but also there are people willing to grow and make the country grow as well. \n\nLast, but not least, I don’t think the COUNTRY has more people that they can handle. I think the big cities have. Government should look into that. Everybody wants to come to Vancouver, Toronto and Calgary. My issue is people immigrate here and bring there customs here but refuse to assimilate to our original customs we could all live together and get along but they left there countries to come here for a better life so to say so leave your crap and enjoy our customs and freedoms you were coming here for stop destroying my way of life to bring your customs here force mine out and reap our benefits I used to be okay with it but as time passes I’m becoming more intolerant to this I want the society back that I lived in as a child it was great now my kids live in a country that they can’t be proud of it’s a joke I’m counting the days till there is a uprising of Canadians that are fed up and will take this matter into their own hands and straighten things out probably will be ugly but you back a calm individual into a corner they got one way out and that’s viscous and aggressive

My dad came to this country in the 80s; I was born here. I had a lovely childhood in the 90s and 2000s. My parents bought a house in suburban Toronto with just a high school education. They sent us to public school, which was perfectly good. I was looking forward to buying my own house, etc. I loved this country. Even back then, people were reticent about being too nationalistic. But I was PROUD to be Canadian even though my parents were not born here. I thought of myself as Canadian, I sang O Canada proudly, I celebrated Remembrance Day in a solemn way even as a child, and I would have died for the country if we had been at war. \n\nWell, not anymore. I don't recognize this country after years of Trudeau. I can never buy a house here, the cost of groceries is burdening me, and the younger people in my family can't even find part time jobs as students. People are increasingly rude, crime has me on edge, it's congested. Freedom of speech, which was taken for granted when I was very young, is dwindling away. Churches have been burnt, Trudeau has incited hatred against people who disagree with him. I'm actually moving to the USA to work there, so that will ease a lot of these issues. (I know it's not perfect down there, but having spent a lot of time there, I can see many things are better). But I'm sad. I'm sad for my family that still lives here. I'm sad that the country I once loved is gone.

I know Canada has lots of problems I’m a third generation Ukrainian Canadian and I have travelled to many countries around the world and this country will always be home. I also am proud to have a Canadian passport lets me travel the world and how so many people all over the world love Canadians. We are well respected all over the world ??

Canada is no longer great. As a third generation Canadian, I was always so proud of my citizenship and thought I was lucky to have been born in the best country in the world. Well, I no longer feel that way. This country is turning into a third world shithole. I want to leave sooo bad but where would I go? I'm 59 but If I were younger I would leave. Canada is in crisis due to immigrants so I don’t understand why you keep coming. Of course Canadian people will not welcome you, our kids can’t get jobs because all jobs are filled with Indian students who agree to work for less ruing our work system. We have Indian people crapping on our beaches because they don’t know how to use a bathroom. Complete different mindset and culture. We are a clean country and welcoming but millions of people at once is too much. I’m pretty sure India would feel the same way if Canadians would do that to you. Were losing our own identity and culture. We have immigrants coming here treating our country like garbage. Protesting non-Canadian values and disrupting our life’s. Even going so far as to defecate on our beaches or trashing our parks. It’s depressing. What do we do at this point? I’m getting emotional just typing this stupid YouTube comment. I’m not proud to be Canadian anymore. I dont hate these people but I feel the tension rising. We’re not welcoming anymore.

As an Indian who was born and raised in Canada (immigrant parents from 1994), one of my favourite things about being a Canadian has been finding my own path as a citizen. I still love my culture but if I wanted to be in India, I would have just chose to move back. My parents came here to give me a better life and opportunity. I have fully embraced that. It frustrates me to no end when I see other Indians come here and disrespect the country that is giving them freedom. Canada isn’t your personal frat party to act like a public disturbance. I have proudly adjusted to Canadian culture and I associate with it more than I do India, and I always will. My parents didn’t give everything up and move here just for me to pretend I’m in India. \nI hate that I get lumped in with this mess sometimes.

Western Canadian here. Moved away from the coast last year because of the ideological capture and literally watching the community dissolve and collapse in front of my eyes. Overwhelming drug abuse and a lack of policing or care for the general population. \n\nThe state of this country is sad. Yesterday was Canada Day, our July 4th. Virtually no flags or positive sentiment. What do we have to be proud of?\n\nI want to be clear here, I don’t blame the the immigrant populations for coming here, I blame the people that allowed them to come with ZERO plan for how to ensure they’re taken care of while not negatively impacting native Canadians.\n\nThe government created this problem, they can fix it but choose not to and instead turn us all against each other when we should be pointing the finger at the powers that be.\n\nBut I’m sure for this opinion they’ll show up at my place later for wrong think so it’s been swell everyone.\n\nGood luck out there in this absolute clown show. Until we get lobbying and money out of politics internationally we’re fucking doomed.

My wife and I moved to Canada about a decade ago from post-Soviet states, where we both grew up with not much more than our smarts and a strong work ethic. When we arrived, adapting/integrating Canadian values, especially work ethics, was a big deal for us. Those first few years were tough, we really had to hustle to improve our lives. Now, a decade later, we're both in pretty solid tech and science jobs. Our child had the incredible privilege of being born in Canada, and that fills me with immense joy.\n\nIt wasn't just our own grit that got us where we are now; we owe a lot to the incredibly welcoming Canadians we met along the way. I'm thankful every day for the awesome, kind-hearted folks we've met. Canadians are truly some of the best people around, and despite lots and lots of issues, Canada is one of the greatest countries in the world. I know this because I've lived and worked across many countries on many continents . We, Canadians, need to keep working to make it even better. I'm proud to be a Canadian immigrant. They should tighten regulations regarding study permits and issue visas only to genuine students who want to grow in this beautiful country, rather than those planning to work at pizza shops for the rest of their lives. We also need to crack down on the aggressive sales practices of immigration consultants in developing nations like India. Let's not forget the big culprits behind this: the admissions officers of the colleges, who fully endorse these practices to meet their revenue targets by any means possible, all under the watchful eyes of the government and IRCC.\n\nI've witnessed this firsthand. I openly challenge those consultants and Canadian college admission officers to be upfront with prospective and future students and tell them in person, before accepting their applications, that a study permit does not guarantee permanent residency in Canada. Explain the rules behind that and see what happens next—people will stop coming to Canada altogether. Consultants and colleges need to be honest with their prospective students and not just include those important facts in a fine print under a bunch of paperwork. \n\nAnd my god, the programs most colleges sell—useless diplomas that are of no use in their home countries either. They won't even get a job as a busboy using those useless diplomas and certificates back home....\n\nI'd love to talk with you if you like, Harrison, as I'm a former international student and now a proud Canadian citizen.

I’m proud to be an American?? and not a Canadian??

I graduated in 2009 in Ottawa in Mechanical Engineering, 70% of my graduating year now live abroad including myself. Better jobs, higher pay, more opportunities, higher tech, lower cost of living, cheaper cars, better weather.\nI lost my intention to go back about 2 years ago after the government did such a poor job of handling c*vid. Although I'm a proud Canadian, I dont call it home anymore.

We are wealthy, have amazing land mass, a high standard of living, with many many many races and ethnicities.... I just love this place. Sure, governments are often lazy and stupid. Starting in 2001 it took me 5 years and a long series of bureaucratic hoops to jump through to get Canadian citizenship. I’m originally from the UK and had a PhD in neuroscience and was doing post-doctoral research. I’ve since had a long teaching career in colleges and am proud to have given something back to my adopted country. It now seems that Canada allows almost anyone entrance, with little rational objective or consideration for the Canadian workforce or culture.

The worst mistake during the pandemic lockdown in Canada was the government shoveling out free money and people reinvesting it back into their real estate. So you have billions of Canadians locked out of their jobs big shovel taxpayer money and they all just started renovating their homes. To the point where sheets of plywood were you couldn't find them and they went up 100 times and price. Solo's hundreds of billions of dollars that the government's going to take back and taxes from us all draw the cost of housing through the roof. Instead of at the time redirecting half of those two it was 500 billion take a half of that investment in putting it into infrastructure technology innovation for industries. Our education systems from kindergarten through to postsecondary education and spending it on the Canadians that were here. We've turned our post-secondary institutions in Canada into diploma Mills where you know your VA and your you know postgraduate degrees or you know they're worthless. However the government and the education system grew into a very profitable industry grinding out worthless degree after worthless degree for foreign students who thought when they got these degrees with 50% of Canadians have. People have to realize that post-secondary education is a big business so they're going to sell you a dream that's going to cost you a lot of money what I suggest is when YouTubers want to do something on Canada do some proper research let people know that we really do have quality post-secondary education system but you have to look at when you graduate those jobs going to be there to pay that large salary does White collar jobs are disappearing almost gone I purchase an app for my company with small company about 10 employees this inexpensive app alone has taken my office staff from 7: to 2: I have a 10 Red seal tradesman tradeswomen these 10 highly skilled trades people earn between 125 and 145,000 a year in gross salary and I need five more of these highly skilled people and I can't find them cuz everybody's running in to get a useless postgraduate degree. I do find it slightly offensive that a lot of new immigrants new Canadians immigrate to Canada to purely exploit it for its wealth Canada should be looked at as a place to come put your hard work in the struggles the ups and downs? and look at it as your home instead of you know a piggy bank but people are going to leave and there's a long line up to get in I've seen in my 40 year career you know three major reps and three major downs. What's happening in Canada's economy and the economies around the world it's all the same the US economy's doing quite well and talked to last couple of weeks friends that have invested their and families have been there long-term at present the United States is building a war economy so there's money pouring into that effort it does have a booming you know Hi-Tech boom as well however the tech boom is offshore with American companies and it's taking place in a part of the world that no one would think it would take place so if your graduate in the tech industry go online do a little research you'll find out where it is the USA is building a huge chip factories I think they just poured in 70 or 80 billion dollars we're in a transitioning economy don't get discouraged put your head into it do your homework find out where these new jobs are coming from which jobs are not going to be here. Traditional White collar you know middle management upper management jobs they've been gone for years everyone's think of themselves as an independent contractor. Also if you're a millennial or was a gen z person there's going to be a massive transfer of wealth over the next 20 to 30 years as baby boomers simply die off and then you guys are going to inherit their money I live in any one of the g7 economies I just got to find your niece with your qualifications and get in there and innovate because there's not one g7 country that significantly doing better than anyone else another interesting part of the world is East Africa I'm retiring there in 5 years I've already done my homework I've already got partners I've already started to train up people there in East Africa Canada and those parts of the world they have East Africa's great basic infrastructure so now that they've got their first level base of infrastructure a second economy is built off at the service that basic infrastructure that basic infrastructure allows for that second layer a bigger layer of investment you know and that's where the real money is for mid-level investors and you know highly educated Young westerners have got 10 years into their respective careers and these are also very beautiful countries you know so you can if you got family in Canada family in Europe India Asia you know you can start building networks collaborate on projects you know in these you know emerging economies you know mid-level economies but that's you know a good 20-year grind to get good at your career and build your confidence to go into these places and get these things done also you know it's a great life adventure but never expect just because you have an advanced degree that the door even come knocking down your door to employ you if you're going to wait for the opportunity to come to you you're going to be waiting forever you got to take your advanced degrees get out there and hustle and work hard man Canada's doing fine about four or five years it's you know it's going to take off next level and it's going to boom for 40 years and it's never going to get any cheaper in g7 countries Amy's emerging economies his pockets around the world they're starting to come up to in the window to get into these emerging economies with your advanced degrees it's closing if you don't make it if you don't start looking at it in the next 5 years your degrees are going to be gone useless and if you do decide to put your career in these emerging economies like Asia South America Central America Africa do it for the right reasons not just for money we don't want to make the same mistakes as like the industrial Revolution where a few people get rich and the people in that country you know don't get anything have respect for these countries employ their people and you have to get into these places before all the big corporations get set up there cuz they're they're going there Canada's a great place as a great time free medical system and I urge anybody that's feeling down or depressed in Canada you know to go get some therapy join some clubs talk to people don't get down and mostly don't you know don't give up on yourself you guys made it through you know Elite post-secondary education system and if you can if you can do that I mean you can you can do anything a lot of hard work ahead truly best of luck to all you guys

People who are complaining again and again, just get fuck out of Canada and go to live somewhere else, we don’t need people who aren’t proud to be Canadians. “ we have shelter, food and healthcare. Canadians are proud of that.”…… what is this woman smoking? Canadian shelter is one of the most expensive in the world. Food is one of the most expensive in the world. Healthcare is useless in Canada it’s actually better in Africa. I’m Canadian and I left Canada 15 years ago never looked back. What a failure Canada is what is there to be proud of? In my opinion Canada should not be a G-7 country. Canada wants the immigrants so that they can scam them, Simple as that.

Canada is a joke now, trying so hard to be a 51st state. We've got all the crime and all the tent cities to compete with the very greatest American cities. Our tiny little towns now have homeless folks and I fear the day I become homeless.\n\nWe've lost our honour. We've sold out to corporations. We're intentionally pushing people out of their homes so the rich may get richer. And our Cuban PM, Justin Castro, is alright with it. He's also happy providing immigrants with subsidized housing while born-and-bred Canadians suffer. Heck, 'everyday young people' in their 20s can't even envision owning a home unless they come from a wealthy family or their parents die and leave the family home to them. They're better off buying an RV but even those cost what a house SHOULD cost.\n\nThis is not the Canada I was born in. It's a total effing disaster. The only saving grace for me is that I brought no children into this mess and I really hope to be dead before Xmas if I don't find a job. Being as I'm a coward and my doctor won't euthanize me (I asked), I figure a hunger strike is the was to go unless I can find a high enough cliff. There's nothing in Canada to be proud of or get excited about. Nothing. No future.

As a Canadian, born and raised, I am much more proud to be a Canadian than if I were to be a U.S. or U.K. citizen, given the way they are regarded in most of the word. I have travelled Europe extensively, Central America, as well as parts of SE Asia. \n\nCanada is indeed expensive and has become moreso because we too easily accept the rising prices, just so we can feel good being a Canadian. Tipping culture is ridiculous, even for bad service, many feel the need to tip 15% because of fear of being regarded as a cheapskate or avoiding offending the service provider. Companies should be paying their staff a better wage where 20%+ tips are not expected for every restaurant, cafe or delivery service. We're helping corporations make more profit by subsidizing their staffing expense. This isn't the case in most of the world. \n\nMy eyes were opened when I saw how you can live an equally good life at a third or less of the cost and I have grown open to the idea of living elsewhere once I have enough money to retire early (I'm talking around 55) and enjoy life without feeling cash-strapped. World class private medical care can be found for prices that are unbelievable and without the multiple appointments and wait times.\n\nI will always be a Canadian first, but there is room for a second citizenship or a backup plan should living in Canada become an impossible place to live or retire, unless you begin with a financial advantage. By no means am I poor, either. I got lucky with both real estate and stocks. Yet, I feel like I am working to just get by, while being taxed well beyond what I am getting in return.

I figured this was coming eventually. Canadians were known my entire life up until the last few years as jolly, mind your own business folks who didn’t mind a hockey fight but it’s really been a drastic cultural shift. I’m sure we see more of the degeneracy via social media which makes it seem bigger than it is and brings the psychos out of the woodwork but you’re right—you see more needles and prostitutes and drag shows and things targeting kids who should just be kids all the time. I haven’t considered leaving the US but I’ve moved counties and I’m preparing to do it again and get farther out from the city. It takes guts, especially if you’re going over an ocean. I’m proud of you guys for being brave enough to start over!

You forgot to mention Trudeau and his Liberals as being the most repugnant part of our Nation. As for racism, we didn't ask to lose our National identity with his immigration policies. How many other countries have to deal with Whites or Blacks moving, and then being 1/4 of your population... Safe to say, you'd take issue, too, especially when the people Trudeau let in expect us to assimilate to THEIR culture... It doesn't work that way. I'm a proud Canadian who is looking forward to Pierre Poilievre being elected as our next Prime Minister to end all of the things you mentioned in this video.

Im a proud Canadian, born and raised. But I'm NOT proud that the way things are becoming too damn expensive. The fact that even 2 income families are barely getting by speaks volumes.\n\nNot a terrible thing -- a blessing in disguise actually -- but it's now becoming the norm that adults are moving back in with their parents just to save up. But at least, even if you have a family of your own, the parents will have more time to spend with their grandchildren.

Ask the new immigrants if they want Canadian flag or any other flag. I'm an immigrant and proud to be a Canadian and the Canadian flag only. Canada gave me a home and a peaceful living.

Canadian immigration system is no longer the same. It is a new slavery system. No matter what education or licences you have, they will never recognize it. I m a new proud Canadian, have master's degree in education from America, still unable to get a teaching license. My doctor friend who came here as a PR is doing Uber. Other mechanical engineer friend doing construction. Don't come to Canada hopping to have a decent job to have a nice life.

I’m a Toronto born proud Canadian. And I DON’T agree with the immigration system. It’s stupid. Outright. Yes my parents are immigrants and I’m LUCKY to have been born here but it’s just a matter of no space and jobs suitable for the unaffordable housing crisis. It’s just a matter of people and space… That’s it. We aren’t animals that can comfortably live on farm land. We have massive condos here that are vacant because no one, especially not a millennial can afford it. Whatsoever. \n\nBut sure, I’ll probably be insensitive for saying that because it’s “racist”. When I really never cared to begin with. I love different cultures. I do. If anyone can vouch, it’s me. I can. I’ve seen how racist and cruel this world can be and I NEVER had a problem with people of different races growing up. Due to all of the stress, I can totally see and understand the concerns.

I’m a Canadian myself, and it’s very interesting to see your reaction to Canadian’s response to that question. I think what you said about being desensitizing is true, I think because the gun violence, the crazy politics, and the attacks on women’s and minority rights, these are things that have become so common in the US that American started to see these things as “normal”. And to a lot of Canadians, these are our core values. A lot of us are proud that we don’t have that (serious of) these issues here, so I am not surprised in any sense that majority if not all of those people in that subreddit said no.\n\nI used to travel to the US for a living, and I actually asked to change my job so I don’t have to do that anymore. I didn’t feel safe, I didn’t feel good when I travel there. You mentioned it’s depending on the cities, and you might be right, but I can tell you I have met A LOT of very crazy people during my years of travels, and they are all friend very different places: the east, the south, the west, big and small cities.

I’m a bit late to this discussion but I agree with the 99.9% of other responses. Although, I have enjoyed trips to beautiful areas of the US, & live close to the border where a day trip was a common occurrence. I now hesitate to even travel there as I do worry about gun violence, racism & honestly cannot understand the cult of followers who would even consider voting for an incompetent, narcissistic criminal to lead their country…. it’s mind blowing! You are desensitized regarding violence/school shootings… choose where you live? What’s the guarantee that this couldn’t happen anywhere in the US, even rural areas? On the topic of living in Canada, it’s beautiful with lots of country to see/enjoy from west coast to the east coast & we have healthcare, a government (although not perfect) elected by & working for the people. I’m proud to be Canadian, wouldn’t move for anything! We’re your neighbour but as it happens sometimes we just can’t believe what’s going on next door.
