Step 1: Study at a legitimate school if you come here to study. 60-70% of the Indians, especially those from Punjab and Haryana study at these scam colleges attending bogus diplomas, often lured by agencies in India. How do you expect to get a good paying job with that diploma? Plus almost all these students barely speak any English. So you get automatically cornered to low-paying jobs at restaurants, fast food chains, etc. Working in the Canadian corporate world requires you to have the right skills and a good handle with English, which almost all these diploma graduates lack. I have not seen a single Indian student who graduated from UBC, McGill, McMaster, UVic, UofA, UWaterloo, etc struggle to find a job or get PR, and they almost always land good paying jobs.\n\nCanada has entered a correction phase. In the next 2-3 years, you will see a lot of these diploma students forced to leave the country.

Fake student and fake college

Twenty thousand Indian students went to Canada on student visa but never reported to college just went missing. The most corrupted students among all other nations and the main culprits are Punjabi and Gujrati speaking students. How well paid jobs question arise, the students went for study on student visa,so how they can hope for getting jobs on student visa. Only a fool and brainless idiots working as journalist can say this.

Every student who comes to USA for M.S. graduate studenfrom India pay only 1semister fee to colleges but they apply for 2 year tuition in Indian banks \n\nWhat is happening is colleges collect 1 semester fee and after 1st semester.\n\n students work part time at restaurants, gas stations, Motels grocery stoes. Mostly at non chain stores. \n\nLegally they are suppose to work on campus but they work off campus and earn and then pay for college. And some send to India they their friends illegally.\n\nThey travel up to 50 miles around to work. \n\nThese students work for cash and work for $7 to $8 per hour or even less.\n\nStore proprietors / owners tell these students if anyone comes for raid they will tell that they are working on voluntary basis and taking salary. So like this millions of students work illegally.\n\nAfter student comes out of college during OPT and stem OPTA they continue to work and approach consulting companies to generate payroll / trainee for no r a son just to give them status. \n\nDuring OPT these employers collect money to pay taxes and generate payroll and keep them to put them to work and maintain their status.\n\nThis does not stop here.\nH1-B workers who come from India on lottery 80% do not have clent jobs but they use back door and show that they have jobs and continue to pay taxes to show on paper that they are still working with a hope that they get jobs in future. And do part time work at restaurants, grocery store etc..\n\nStudents also stay in apartments in groups of 5 to 6 in 2 bed room unit and share and save money actual apartment lease is on only 2 people remaining people stay illegal.\n\nLandlord cooperation is there. \n\nthis situation is causing so much trouble to American citizens. Most Americans do not get a job even if they get paid low wages due to these unauthorized workers.\n\nCreate a department to report every local illegal student workers or H1-Bs or OPTs to ICE and disqualify them and cancel their visas.

Many degrees and diplomas either need to cut their superfluous fat, integrate cheaper online courses alongside their in school ones or find new ways to prepare students to the market to justify their existence. So many programs that have been cut have been proven to be fluff designed specifically to acquire PR or to make quick money. When Ontario finally reinvests money into Universities and Colleges it should focus on programs that will actually benefit both the student and the nation.

Great news. As most of them are sham students. They don't even attend proper colleges.

Many people think that because they think that they are cleaver enough to circumvent visa interviews, falsify documents required to impress foreign embassy staff, get visa on false pretenses because they have money, connections in domestic government or someone overseas to curry favor them, then no wonder your visa application would be rejected and fees forfeited or you would be turned down entry to your dream country on arrival and deported back to your home country. People even dare to charter a flight to Maxico with a plan to cross the border and into USA, like a flash mob, without a visa. Well you don’t have entitlement for that, just like you don’t like Bangladeshi, Pakistani and Rohingya crossing your borders by any means.\nHow many Indian agents have befooled fellow Indians who want to go and work in UAE, Behrin, Muscat, Qatar, Oman, Jordan and Saudi Arabia but landed on one of the beaches of India or have their Passport taken away to make them work like a slave in servitude by their fellow Indian contractors? Canada recently stated that there were 20000 Indians on student visa who did not show up at college, London from 8/1/25 even if you are in transit going somewhere else you need a visa which is difficult to get Germany and America are in the process of deporting thousands of Indians . Many Indian people go to Canada on student visas and never report to the college. They end up as illegals in the USA and Canada. They come from one specific region of India. This hurts the Indian passport ranking.

Ohh, and guess what? a whopping 20,000 of them are Indians. These folks were reported as non-compliant with their student visas, ditching the whole 'studying' part of the deal. Instead, some are busy with doing illegal jobs, while others have allegedly slipped across the border into the US illegally. But sure instead of earning the respect, let's kee p demanding for it...

Palki why not do some due diligence…research before wasting five minutes and 20 seconds on defending a position. The largest number of overstayers in the UK are Indians….not Burkina Fasosns or Cubans. West London has about 15000 students…who speak so poor English that one fails to understand how they understand lessons in English! They work as waiters at the wedding venues and fast food outlets. \nI found them doing the same in Sydney. They are 18 year old….if they attend any college…it is not a university..but community colleges! What higher education are they going to get there that wasn’t available in India. They don’t have funds to eat two meals a day and end up in Temples and Gurudwara everyday. They fill containers for the next meal too. I tell you in New Delhi there is special section of the city that dedicated to students going overseas. They make fake documents and fake college degrees and fake passports and fake visas. You just go and pay the guy ₹5000 and your process to come to Canada.

These students came for an education. You accepted the terms of that student visa and should thereby adhere to those terms. Many countries do offer jobs to international students who excel in their studies if there are available positions in that field that Canadians can not fill. It is Indian recruiters who have sold the residency idea both in India and Canada. It is these recruters that teach them how to defraud our systems and take your money. If you think about it, how many successful companies hire people with strip mall college certificates in high paying jobs.\n\nWho they should be protesting against are their recruiters who sold them this illusion, not our government. There are processes for residency, not privileges.

Once I just searched on google masters degree from foreign country, i literally got 100s of adds for months about Canadian, australian, german and US universities, So if i will take admission in those unis after paying whole saving of my family i atleast want to have rights to work in that country otherwise why would i leave my country as i still have middle class life here. And also it's the responsiblity of any unis in the world that if anyone comes to your country for than they should atleast have right to work for the same number of yr as he spent in his course so that he can earn back same amout which he paid for the tuition fees, suppose if i does my Master's from US for which i have to pay atlest 80-100k including living cost and to earn back that same amount of money in the india from best paying companies will take atleast 7-8yrs it's just about getting same amount of money back in account and to make saving of that much money will atleast take 20yrs then tell me why should some go for education in foreign countires if he doesn't get chance to earn that back, College fees are usually decided on PPP terms of the freshers job in that country that why atleast giving chance for work for the same amount of time of the total course time is a good thing otherwise just stop sending adds, just stop scamming indians, and just close your billion dollor economy which works on fees of indian student. Even many african specially nigerian they qualifies to work in india if they did any of his degree from india.

Many Indians also face challenges with proficiency in the English language.\n\nUnfortunately, Canada’s relatively lenient immigration policies have allowed a significant number of unskilled individuals from India to settle there. Many of these individuals have been reluctant to embrace Canadian culture. Corruption may have played a role as well, with some local Canadian colleges and universities admitting students who lacked merit. Given the extreme levels of corruption in India, this is not surprising.\n\nThe root issue lies in the Canadian government’s lack of strictness and vigilance when formulating immigration rules and policies. Many Indians, frustrated with the current government and financial hardships, seek to leave the country in hopes of a better life in the West. While educated individuals follow proper processes, the uneducated often resort to questionable means. In Canada’s case, this negligence on the part of both governments has had unfortunate consequences.\n\nI hope stricter policies and more accountability lead to better outcomes in the future.

The problem is not international students themselves; the problem lies with students who cheat the system to become international students.\n\nSecondly, no international students are promised permanent residency (PR). There is a pathway to PR, and the government should ensure it is followed. However, if a student's study or work permit expires, they must leave as they declared when applying for the permit. Canada understands that individuals from developing nations may not want to return home, and that is understandable. But the proper process must be followed.\n\nI agree that the Canadian government has made mistakes. However, international students also took advantage of the system, which I can understand. The government should never have allowed international students to obtain work permits so easily. They should have been required to complete their studies, secure a job offer, and only then apply for a work permit. This would be the point at which their PR process could begin.\n\nWhat the government did instead was detrimental to Canadians. By allowing international students to get work permits immediately, bring their spouses, and provide work permits to them as well, they created challenges. Students should focus on studying first, graduating, and then finding a job—just as it used to be.\n\nThe government should create regulations requiring all publicly funded colleges and universities to cap the fees charged to international students. These institutions should only be allowed to charge a maximum of 15% to 25% above the fees for local students. Charging exorbitant amounts was essentially a form of robbery, exploiting international students with the false hope of permanent residency (PR), which is never guaranteed.

Indian College Students get your Diploma and go home. College student visa is not your PR. We don’t need you here!!!

Canadian budget in 2023 was around 450 billion and they received Indian student 12 billion directly from Indian students. So Canada has taken a good step so that the erosion from India can be limited. The Canadian immigration did not know about the fake Indian college document until 2023 …..the fake documents were from 2018 ..meaning the did not realize the documents were fake until 5 yrs later ..when the students 2018 graduated in 2023 and were applying for permanent residence is when the immigration..noticed the college documents were fake …

The true problem is the greed of colleges - bringing the wrong kind of international students. Remember - the same India supplies the brightest brains to the USA. Like myself - thousands of high skill STEM field Indians are finding Canada to be the North American ghetto. We had high paying jobs and comfortable life in India - we moved for better value of our taxes and overall high quality of life but we are finding ourselves surrounded by same chaos and much worse healthcare. Many like me pay 100s of thousands in taxes every year in Canada and yet find ourselves on flights to India to seek quick healthcare. Pls bring in healthcare workers and students - not the high schoolers seeking to live on Tim Horton and uber jobs for life.

Colleges should not be dependent on immigrant students to survive. What about educating Canadian kids?

I am Canadian . I graduated from centennial college my student loan 30000$. I could not found any job because every where over dumps emigrants this LIBERAL GOVERNMENT .this is make me sick. We don’t have much jobs here. Unemployment rate percentage going up again.

Vancouver resident here - I live a couple blocks away from a college, and can confirm that the student populace not only exploded but is almost exclusively Indian and it wasn’t gradual. \n\nPersonally, this seems to be the most egregious of it because aside from the sheer numbers, they don’t seem to be making the area any less safe or being a nuisance. And at those numbers, they patronize nearby businesses, helping the local economy. Can’t complain about that.\n\nHome prices have been out of control for decades, and so have hospital wait times - these are Canadian problems for which the Indians are merely a recent contributor (if at all). \n\nThe issues Canadians are facing from the influx of Indian seeking education and/or PR’s are under the jurisdiction of Canada’s Trudeau government - a group that is facing deep criticism amongst Canadians. They are now trying to placate us by walking back over the Indians they welcomed here in the first place. \n\nAnd that action subsequently (though not intentionally) gives justification for Canada’s most deplorable citizens to place blame on said Indians and discriminate freely. \n\nHaving said that, the main issue Vancouver locals have that is that (once again due to the Trudeau government) we seem to have imported a violent form of Indian politics that cause blood to be spilled on our streets - I don’t know the details between the sides, just want that sh!t shut down. I would love to see the Canadian and Indian governments cooperate to remove violent activists from our streets.

Let's get real here, these international students do not contribute significantly at all to Canada's economy. They are a drain on food banks that locals need for survival. They are a drain on our economy because 90% of them are sending most of their paycheques back to family in India. They are taking jobs away from young Canadians trying to enter the job market while Canada's unemployment rate is high right across the country. The schools mostly are fraudulent diploma mills that are not providing any real world job skills that are useful to Canada or Canadians and 90% of Indian international students who enroll in these colleges do not even attend. They come only to work for dollars and send money back to India. Meanwhile the cost of living is extremely high due to the housing shortage caused by excessive Indian International students. It should be very clear now, Canada and Canadians want all these Indians to leave Canada and return to India as stated in the temporary resident visa. If not they will be cut off and deported also incurring a 5 to 10 year ban from Canada.

The colleges are a major part of the problem. Way too easy to get accepted into a college in Canada. Some of the students dont even know how to use a computer. The colleges only care about collecting those high tuition fees.
