Ashamed American here. Please Canada, please don't forget that at least half of us Americans hate this stunning crap every bit as much as you do. We support you, Canada ...not Trump and his cohorts.

The speech of Mr Trudeau, the way Canadians have shown solidarity for one another, today it all puts my country, The US, to shame. I am ashamed of what my government is doing and I am disgusted with the people doing it. In Mr Trump’s first term, as eclipsed as they were by the many many many actions and attitudes he imposed on us that embarrassed and hurt us as a country, there was the rare occasional decision I could at least understand even if I did not support it. Since taking office literally not one thing he has done has made sense to me as an American. I can only say how sorry I am for what the country I love is being used to do to you all, especially our closest allies and friends and in particular the people of Canada today. I grew up in Commerce Twp Michigan. I visited Canada regularly and, even as crime from Detroit poured across the border into Canada, Canadians always treated us with respect and welcome. I never imagined that would stop but now I find it hard to imagine how it might continue and it breaks my heart.

We are ashamed of trump

I’m so ashamed to say I’m an American under the criminal Trump Administration. Luckily, Trump won’t be around much longer.

Just to let you know, a great deal of us don’t want this either. We are trapped in a growing nightmare that is a terrifying orange clown and his psychotic South African sidekick-they are backed by nefarious groups with deep pockets who have been plotting for years and were ready on day 1 when Frump took office. They are vile and evil but very organized. We are with you! ?We are embarrassed, ashamed, and appalled at how the bully in office is treating our allies, and will do everything in our power to make this stop. The state of our world does not need more Putins and Trumps-there are more of us than them. We can overcome if we are prepared to dig our heels in and fight for what we know is right. Whenever I become disheartened I remind myself of the Ukrainian people who have been at war, fighting mostly alone for years, and somehow holding their own. They deserve more. You deserve more. The American people deserve more. Together we will overcome this scourge!?????

Trump has made me ASHAMED to be an American… not proud.

I can't make sense of the way that Trump and his lapdogs are acting. Trump is not my president and he doesn't speak for me. This is going to kill our friendships and Trump would rather be friends with Putin than Canada and Ukraine. I am so ashamed of these actions. It’s really annoying that CNN continues to babble on instead of letting Trudeau finish his press conference and then proceed with their responses. Our country is in the hands of a madman along with Musk and other cowardly Republicans who are in office. For all of those who voted for Trump, wait till energy and other costs rise, but it’s a shame we will all suffer as a result. Canada is our friend I am ashamed right now to call myself an American.

As a u.s citzen I'm appalled and ashamed of my president. As a Canadian I am embarrassed, ashamed and fearful! Everything that this idiot spews forth is just pure drama. All President Trump wanted was for Canada to take care of the drug problem that has killed so many. In the 9 years that this government has been in power he has done absolutely NOTHING to stop this catastrophe, in fact he has stood by and watched it get worse….enabling cartels to gain more power with a lax system of slap on the wrist laws. And his immigration department is asleep at the wheel.  \nI pray that some common sense enters the picture soon…

We all know it was never about DRUGS and Illegal immigrants anyone with a brain should know it was always about the MONEY, ITS ALWAYS ABOUT THE MONEY. Trump should of just told them honestly, no more FREE period instead of making these countries put resources at the border. Trump play a game to get 2 for 1 by making them secure the borders and making them pay tariffs all at the cost of the American people if Americans do stuffer. But I do again with the tariffs everyone should pay considering that all the factories run to these foreign countries for cheaper labor, and Americans are your biggest buyers. Any country who wants FREE should be ashamed of themselves. Maybe Canada should be free US and Canada had a good relationship. But Mexico and China NOT at all.
