All humans are racists internally whether they believe it or not!

I've encountered so many RACISTS white people in Canada, I've had a white Male called me the N word in the lcbo, white males walk to me and say what up N and I don't even know them, my job hired all white people before me and I've been their the longest. So YES racism in Canada is HUGEEEEEEEE believe that.

Does the word 'refugee' not have any meaning to anybody anymore? Pffft. It's like this in Europe. Let's be honest, most are economic migrants not refugees and I find it deeply insulting to see such powerful words abused and entirely watered down in meaning. It's like the gross abuse of words like 'phobic', 'fascist' and 'racist' etc. The more you fling them around as pejoratives that enforce or heighten some emotional angle in your rhetoric, as a dopey shorthand smear word, the greater the REAL damage. If you genuinely care about words and their meanings. There's nothing wrong with immigration whatsoever, the problem is illegal immigration and people who play the system. It angers everybody, especially other legit immigrants, interestingly enough. I laugh at these soft-headed, sheltered types believing all the sob stories they're fed, the images they first see and take entirely to heart. When you live 'in it' you can spot a load of old bollocks a mile away.

This happened in the US but I was working at Panera and two really nice ladies wearing burkas came to order some food and the old white guy cashiering refuses to cash them out because of what they are wearing. \n\nThat's straight up discrimination, I hope they didn't know why he wouldn't served them because that's horrible and he should feel ashamed. That was the first time I witnessed discrimination and I couldn't believe someone would do that, but I see it's common everywhere, the grass isn't always greener on the other side. I hope all these blatant racists get what's coming to them

And why is Canadian government taking so much refugees from Africa and middle east if they know that many Canadian are racists towards blacks and Asians, racists people are just ignorance and they don’t want to accept their denial of the racists. Example I didn’t know that there’s different between humans and we are all humans but not kind of aliens from somewhere, as human being we should have just live together and treat people like we treated ourselves rather than hating others because of their skin color. Am African man and here in Africa we don’t have such things as black or white but we are all humans and we all believe that all humans are equal and it doesn’t matter whether you’re white or black..

As a Pakeha [european decent] from New Zealand. This is my personal take on this . I think many of us may unknowingly be micro-aggressive towards people of colour without realising it. Which is possibly why we don't think we are racist. Many of us do believe sincerly that we are not part of it. Haha that computer test is invalid for me. At split second decision, I don't believe racism preference from that. Those decisions could be from numerous reasons the brain just jumps to. The human brain is complex. If you gave that test to a child who doesn't yet differentiate racism, are you still going to say that child is racists?

That woman is so extra. She is not in danger. And if Muslims feel some type of way about the west it’s because they are alienated by the way they are treated by racists and governments and law enforcement agencies in the west and are upset about the role western governments play in meddling to create instability and oppression in Muslim majority countries. That doesn’t mean we don’t also love and appreciate the lives and opportunities we have in the west. But our freedoms are not the same as white westerners. Also, I firmly believe it’s mostly a government issue. Most people, including white westerners are good people. lots of western prople live or work in middle east or other part of south-east asian muslim country. we've never been racist to them even after their past colonial horror history we've been nice to them. cause personally I believe none can bear his or her ancestors mistake.

According to the laws of America TRUMP had the authority to stop immigration from certain countries but the Canadian laws don't give TRUDEAU the power to unilaterally change immigration policy.\nTrudeau believed like OBAMA that the Liberal media and self censorship of the citizens (afraid to speak up and be branded as racists or even lose their jobs) who disagreed with him would allow him to do what he wants.

Before that can happen though we need to reign in our social welfare. The most racism I experienced in school was from teachers. Its the most profound kind of racism, because they are authority figures. The thing is when your fellow students display racism it doesn't have the same gravity as it does when your teacher does it because you know your teacher does know better but they truly believe it.In University, I actually had a teacher give a lesson that was so tinged with racism that it really broke me down, because what I've come to realize is that so many people think that being racist is saying actual racist words and don't understand that perpetuating stereotypes are the most prevalent forms of racism.  It is demoralizing because it feels like a losing battle when your teacher is perpetuating racially disparaging ideas to an entire class, and you think about how many people are going to be influenced by that idea and in turn perpetuate it. I realized that this teacher really insidiously believed what she was saying was true, but that it just wasn't politically correct to say it. The main principle of white privilege is that white people get to be individuals but people of colour get grouped together by the most base stereotype of their race.  I don't think Black-focused schools are the solution. I think more integrated schools with diverse populations of students and teachers are the solution.\n Then there are concrete issues of race, space and the law. For example when you come to realize that carding continues in Toronto, and that most residents do not care that young Black men are being harassed and treated like criminals by the police because it does not affect their community, it makes you wonder if people are only inclined to feel empathy for those who look like them.

Why would anyone believe what a racist news reporter lies about?

If a black family were to move next door to me I would have no problem with inviting them to my home and welcoming them to the community, that is the way that it would be in any Newfoundland community. Newfoundlanders were never racist and never will be. If you don't believe that, ask the residents of the burin peninsula community's that helped ALL od the war heros on the Truxton and Pollocks when their destroyers went ashore in St. Lawrence and Lawn, Nfld.during the second world war

My experience in Canada has been largely positive, with only minimal racial difficulties.  As a teenager, I do recall some kids making blatantly racist comments, when I was the only minority in the room; but they were silly girls, popular and full of themselves, and most of the students who heard did not laugh with them. We all knew it was wrong.  Another time I was told, by an agent, that a potential employer claimed she would not hire me because of my race.  I did not hear these words firsthand, though, so it was impossible for me to verify the truth. In the end, I let the matter alone. Other people,  I realize, have endured severe injustices; such have not been my experience, but this does not subtract from their reality.  Indeed, racism does exist, and shall remain as long as there are imbeciles wallowing in the mire of ignorance, people who cling to an absurd sense of superiority for lack of something more meaningful to hold.  As well--and it must be said!--quite likely, we all have, at some point, entertained discriminatory thoughts. 'Tis not a 'black and white' problem but a human one, and we must be mindful of it beginning with ourselves.  Canada, then, with its many inhabitants and complex history, will never be the exception. We can't expect perfection among people, here or anywhere else in the world.  Even so,  I believe there are enough fellow Canadians who strive to treat people as individuals and are happy to make friends across cultures.  My life has been and continues to be a testament to that!  Whatever our troubles, we still retain a proud heritage of diversity and progressive ethnic harmony.  We do try, and for this reason I love my country.  I am deeply patriotic and immensely proud to be part of it!  

As for multiculturalism, is a political word and means what ever politicians want it to at the time. I believe in humanity, I grew up in Manchester and lived their until my forties. Now having lived all over the world I can honestly say that all people are pretty much the same. We all want the same things and most people are decent. The racists I have come across are always pretty thick and usually being manipulated by some group leader who just like religious leaders. just want power. .
