We have maintained a high level standard of living, when by all rights we should not have it. Many want to blame government, but one part of the problem is an over reliance as an exporter of raw natural resources and a reliance on generally a single market (USA) for our goods. But in the matter of illegal immigrants, how are the victimized countries supposed to know their backgrounds? How can one be sure if they are not hardcore criminals, terrorists, spies, or even trained soldiers of enemy countries? In such uncertainty, how can the invaded countries be sure that an incident or incidents of such a large magnitude might not take place that, in comparison, the incident of 9/11 would look like the small incident of bursting firecrackers?But on one election promise, the president is, unfortunately, taking a complete U-turn that those students who do the master's and other higher studies should be retained and provided legal status to stay in the country as their contributions are needed to give the country the perpetual cutting edge in the highly competitive world and keep the country's status as number one. These scholars are feeling cheated that by spending huge amounts of money and contributing to the research and development during the studies, they have not only been taken for a ride but also become the main target of the deportation campaign as their status is available with the government. On the other hand, millions of undocumented workers are comparatively safe, as tracing and deporting them is not an easily achievable task. Besides, millions of foreign citizens are given entry into the country on flimsy grounds, and many of them do not even ever go to elementary school. I think even God would not be able to make out what the fuck this country has become on this issue. Almost the same is the situation with most of the EU countries, the UK, Australia, and Canada.

Im Canadian with a lot of health issues. Many trips to the ER, the longest I have had to wait, was about 15 mins. And if it was real serious, I was seen by a doctor immediately. I hear people complain about wait time, but the problem we have is that many people take advantage of the ER instead of making an apt with their family Dr. So if it's not an emergency and you go to the E.R. you will wait.

My issue is the invasion will never completely stop. They will try anything to get back in here. There are so many millions of people who want to come here and they will never stop trying. Deport and they just come back later. Dangerous criminals will always find money to facilitate getting back here. \nWe may need to take a large area of an unpopulated western state and turn it into a prison (and nice neighborhoods for all the employees needed to run everything) for anyone who enters illegally. If they are caught here illegally, they will spend the rest of their lives in that prison.\nMany would self-deport and never try to return.

Im not so sure of the info coming across. Ive seen staggering numbers of immigrants coming north from the US into Quebec and Ontario for a number of years. Quebec had to set up shelters and programs to accommodate how many were coming up into Canada. Watching the RCMP helping them come into Canada, taking their luggage and guiding them Those officers should be charged with being an accomplice to a crime.. that would stop the police from helping bring them in... Maybe it changed and now they are going south?.. but getting to Canada isnt as simple as coming up through warmer weather countries and going south in Winter would be a major issue through snow and weather. Not so sold on the numbers coming from Canada going south though.

If you are in America and you are a citizen enjoying all that America has to offer and you hate our federal immigration law and you hate police doing their jobs and you hate whatever wrong America has done in the past, I challenge you to leave and go find that perfect county that can offer you all that America can and will live up to your ideals of perfection not just now but through everything they have done in the past. Please find that perfect country that has never oppressed anyone and doesn't oppress anyone now and see if you can f off to that place and I am positive they will be happy to give you other people's wealth to make your stay wonderful and if they don't, hit the streets protesting and get them to change if you can stay out of jail. We took in well over 5 million immigrants (documented and undocumented) over the past 3 years. Like New York, many of our cities are overwhelmed with this influx. We don't even have the resources to track down expired visas, overstays, or asylum cases. Last year our government admitted there was a problem and decided to start taking action. The biggest issue is people claim to be tourists with no intent of leaving. The Canada US border is far stronger than our international one.

I am born and raised in NYC. In Queens many businesses are now suffering with lack of staff and the owners or their family members are now doing the work they’ve been paying immigrants that don’t have their paperwork together to do. It is sad so many people trying to start over and get treated poorly! As a community member it is also annoying having to wait much longer for food or the quality of atmosphere lacking now etc I know something needed to be done in regards to the immigration issue but at the same time it sucks to realize just how many people were being taken advantage of in ALL the local businesses smh. I sincerely don't understand why people have an issue with people who came here illegally getting deported. It's not at all racially motivated or discrimination. Whether they are serious criminals or just entered illegally - it is not right for them to be here, or be provided services paid for by tax paying Americans. As an educated American citizen, If I want to move to UK or European countries I have to jump through many hoops, prove I have my own money to support myself, and possibly meet a language requirement. Why is it that we just accommodate anyone who wants entry to USA? It baffles me. I have friends all upset about deportations and it's ridiculous. I can't understand why we bother to have any laws if we don't enforce them? I have 2 family members who immigrated here LEGALLY. That's the only way it should be allowed and we should up the requirements to gain entry as well.

Its equivalent to5 k / month . \n\nSo thier dollar isn't worth much , for their parents to have that much money to send a 15 year old to study hs in a foreign country is a luxury only a selected few can dream of\n\nAlso none of them worked and work permit wasn't allowed. I have no issue or problem with the roundup & deportation of illegals who are criminals but treating all illegals in this manner is inhumane & unconscionable. Many illegals have lived & worked in the US for years paying taxes, are unable to file tax returns and unlikely to collect social security if & when they reach that age. What the country needs is immigration overhaul & reform.

Many students leaving Canada came without proper research, seeking only white-collar jobs but ending up at Tim Hortons. Nursing, constrution jobs, rulal jobs, has no issues here, and there’s no need to go back. Still, many Indian parents only want to say their child is an engineer or doctor, not a nurse or construction worker—despite these jobs being well-paid and in demand. Canada is more than just Toronto, Vancouver, and Calgary—there are entire provinces most international students don’t even know exist. Move there early, not at the last minute! I've been to the states many times! My opinion is that Americans focus on wallets more than social issues! Americans care more about their own circumstances than working together to help the whole of the population. No one likes to pay more taxes but they are a nessesary evil to be able to pay for health care, public security, and so on! So sure Americans don't pay as much for some things but pay more for things that they shouldn't pay! I am in USA for many years. I don't see any issue. Only illegals and those milking H1 system are affected.

There is in fact no actual housing shortage in the USA whatsoever. The problem is that that wealthy individuals have strong incentives to park excess capital in real estate and landlords have strong incentives to maintain asset values through cash flow potential (appraised through $/sq.ft rent revenues). What ends up happening in both cases is that you end up with lots of empty houses sitting collecting dust artificially gaining value due to scarcity, and with rentals, you end up with perpetually inflated rents and vacancy rates that are as high as a landlord can tolerate just to maintain the appearance of value to the lenders. Often these owners will borrow more money and use an apartment that might be 40% vacant as the collateral for the lender and go buy another building and so on. What people don't penalize is the fact that that 40% vacant building with 60% rented out at above fair value gets treated on the balance sheet to the bank as if its 90% rented out from an asset value perspective thereby setting the asset price artificially high. Simple legislation of the tax code can fix this issue and unlock lots of sidelined housing. All we have to do is progressively tax 2nd 3rd 4th ect. homes higher and higher rates that essentially cancel out the asset gains, and do something similar for vacant units in a apartment building. \nIts just at the core a case of the rich hoarding something that has been made artificially rare. On top of all of this, because of how valuable properties have become, there are now many interests that capitalize on the entire process of building new housing that make it ever more expensive. Our taxes are funding numerous regulators that stymie new development, while the developers have to then hire numerous attorneys and planners to pitch a project and litigate it through the cities to get approvals. This can take over 10 years in a major city. All this contributes to the ridiculous costs of building these days.

In many situations, an independent duty corpsman on a Navy Frigate, Destoyer, Curiser while on deployment isn't equipped to be able to successfully handle the medical issues both physically and mentally that could arise because a confused individual wants to live in a fantasy world.

There is nothing about not having trans in military not having value. The Navy trans as a woman is not a woman so when did he/she transition, Before or after. She can look female but he is a he with all the advantages of muscle mass. Since he actually passed the physical stuff indicates the maleness prior to transition. I’d like to see the requirements if mental fitness before the transition and after. Beside getting breasts did he go all the way with removing male organs? If not then it’s more a dress up issue. Being in the military is probably not really a good place for trans. Is he now a lesbian as acting a woman? So many questions with few answers.

They don’t think they have to wait their turn! This is what open borders do. They lead to a serious crisis and entitlement. I don’t think I have the right to do that anywhere else. Not to mention we don’t have enough to take care of what we have right now. LA doesn’t have enough water to sustain what they have but they think it’s a great idea to open California and let as many in. What you’re going to do is crumble this country. One nation can only sustain so much. The president of Columbia didn’t want his own people back. That should tell you something. Yet American media is telling us these people are vital to our economy. If they’re so vital and followed by dollar signs, why doesn’t Columbia want their own people?? Aren’t they needed to build the economy there? Wake up people. This is a serious issue. We can’t save the whole world, we simply don’t have the means. If we stay this route what will happen is we will end up in the same spot that Mexico is. You have to teach them to build properly not bring it all here. That isn’t a fix all. Once we have enough gang members, drug cartels and murders from all the other countries, we’ll become those countries, while they’ll have it good because they purged all their criminals to us. They don’t want them back, yet we’re begging them to bring their problems to us! It’s time to take this serious and worry about our own.

This is a much easier fix than what’s being portrayed. We need to make the ability to become a temporary citizen easier than it is. Background checks, usable skills, and political or criminal affiliation. If it’s not possible to access, so is your entry. I support my president and my nation completely and yet I still understand that the deplorable conditions of these broken nations is something I too would want to escape from. By making it so impossible to legally enter, we’re funding the criminals who will do so illegally. \n And can we talk openly about the real issue as well? It’s time for the U.S to clean house too. Government officials taking bribes from the Cartels and making it harder for us to put safety measures in place. We have to stop being in business with these criminal elements. I get it, the money’s being used to fund our military initiatives that tax dollars can’t, like in the 80’s with Contra, but how many U.S lives have to be lost to secure a foreign policy???

Additionally, if anything is not going their way, they complain about racism and why Canadians don’t understand their culture. Yet, they have no interest in learning about and adapting to Canadian culture. Many brought with them the ways of dealing with people and doing business that are often very shady and Canadians are forced to adapt to them. I support immigration as it adds to the diversity of our culture. However, when 80% of the permanent residence VISA were issued to Indians last year, that’s not diversity. We don’t want to become India 2.0.

May God help them find a way in South America. The USA has many issues that we need to address to progress our government systems. This is a distraction from a much greater problem in this nation because China is far advanced economically. It’s a whole new world over there whiles this country is pledge with the effects or racism and classism. Eventually there will be no middle class. It will be the Elites and the poor no room or opportunity for nothing in between. Racism must stop in order to combat classism. Immigration entitlement is a direct result of the efforts to oppress black Americans by moving them in order to keep us out along with every other major issue America is facing currently. Racism will be the demise of this country. The amount of energy and resources used for anti black racism has pretty much bankrupted this country. Just think about all of the black inventors, intellectuals, and dreamers killed or suppressed whom could have been more of an economical difference in this country to help make it a beautiful place…. Crazy work
