Here in middle east, One of our helper in my work place is indian, i feel pity on him cuz his company taking advantage of him. He cant read, and write or even understand English, they hire him as cleaner sometimes hes coming to work without shoes or sometimes no food for lunch. Working 14hrs a day, salary is less and most of the time salart is late for months. My question is why?? Why do u need to go abroad with this situation.

My question to you is, if an International student is spending 7000 cad each semester and completing a 2 yr program with total fee paid 28000 to 35000 CAD excluding the exorbitant rent like 1500 per month and grocery and personal tax, would definitely wish to get back some of the money they invested here in Canadian land, am i right? Would you be thinking the same way if you invest in India? Secondly, none of the employers are offering any white collar job or office job to these students unless otherwise they have Permanent Residency status here in Canada: the only way to get “PR” is to work for some pizza store or tim hortons- its not by choice, only jobs you have here in Canada for any students and now construction field too. So kindly don’t judge any international student from any part of the world on their skills. All we need is a way out by Planning our future. I recently worked in a fast food restaurant owned by a foreign national, to begin with there was about a half and half mix between the foreign students and Canadians, it was well run, nice place to work and we pretty much got along, suddenly the owner started advertising for help only in his own language newspaper, as the usual turnover took place all the new hires were of his nationality, students who were limited to 20 hours per week wound up working more hours than the full time workers which in my books left me wondering how much studying they were getting in, Covid hit, I asked the boss if he was going to sign up for getting us paid instead of laying us off, he said he wasn't eligible for that program and laid us off, after he laid us off he applied for and got on the program, suddenly names the Canadian supervisor had never seen working for us appeared on the payroll and mysteriously when we got back to normal and got called back they never did appear in our restaurant. I'm not a racist, have always loved working with other nationalities, but rules are there for a reason and need to be enforced, a lot of folks are taking advantage of our lax enforcement. If you want to work in Canada you should apply for the permit before you come, if you come as a student you need to be a student, if you come as a refugee you should declare that status before you get on a plane. When we have people living on the streets and in cars because housing is not affordable we need to question how many folks we are bringing in.

As much as it is a Canadian issue, India and its ultra-nationalistic media need to ponder this. With all this GDP narrative of Indias being bigger than than many of the developed nations and how India is being projected as the next superpower, what is the need for legal and illegal migrants to take such a step. What is the pressure for such a large number of people to take such a risk, when most, if not all, will be deported back to India. I have the same question to China as well. Their state controlled media is naming and shaming US, Canada snd some European nations, while their migrants legal/illegal are pouring into US through Mexico. This is a fact that over 100 Chinese illegals were deported in a large charted flight back to whereever they came from as recent as last week of June 2024. Indian students come to study not living in Canada. Young Canadian need jobs, housing, and security for Canadians first. I grew up in Vancouver, Richmond and South Surrey/White Rock. I have white, asian and indian friends. I have the same group of employees for my business. The issue is the new immigrants are not vetted the same way they used to be. Its not that its Indians, Chinese, etc, etc, its about who they are letting in specifically. The standards changed when the Liberals took power again in 2016. Nothing against Indians other than the standard of who we let in. We are letting in the lower grade of individuals than what we did before. My IT guys, who are Indian, agree. They say the government lowered the standard. So I understand why Canadians feel they way they do. Especially the ones born and raised here. I'm 31, was born here, and I often feel the same way everyone else does. The only problem that I see is that the issues that are in Canada are also in every other Western country. I'm concerned with the future, but I also know that throughout every generation, there are ups and downs. I'm willing to stick it out. I live outside of Toronto,I love the lack of natural disasters and access to water, and I still feel very safe. Although crime is up, it is nothing compared to the U.S. \n\nI'm actually living quite comfortably. Although my costs have gone up, I have made smart decisions in my life that allow me to live well. I own my own house, don't have car or credit card debt, and I only need to earn 40k a year to cover all of my bills. I don't know, but I am trying to be happy with what I have instead of what I could have had by being born 30 years too late. The thing is homelessness is a fact that is coming from the most broken families. And here cannabis legal. I could see most white peoples don’t want to go to work, even there is enough work for them. And as a country to grow, they need youngsters for the workforce, but unfortunately Canadians people don’t have enough kids to support the country. So many divorce can ruin the life too. So the students coming here in Canada, how they get visa, Government don’t know that. Why is this even a question that needs to be asked? Even if you ignore the cultural, social integration issues, it's a simple numbers game. Too many people with an infrastructure that cannot support this sudden influx. Immigrants were not betrayed, they were not forced to come to a new country. I am a Serbian and Canadian living in Canada for the last 24 years. I love \nthis country I respect this country but my God is so much different than it used to be or it is me. This summer I went with my kids and wife to 6 different countries in Europe Eastern Europe and Central and have seen 2 alcoholic then I come to Canada I see thousands of drug addicts on the street. everything is overpriced ppl do not enjoy in here. When I came in 2000 Serbian economy was low due to the war now it is better and Canadian economy is worse so the gap is very small. you need to make 6000$ to live just ok and I do live well but there is always but. I call it a pressure cooker, I wish all Canadian travel abroad a bit just to realize that they were lied too and that there's a lot of bs. I can give you an example: Condo in Belgrade same size property tax is 200$ per year condo in Qc Gatineau 2500$ plus condo fees 400$ per month basically 7000$ wasted for what? no dr wholes on the street broken system. It will be for sale. I agree paying taxes on my house where I live but for rental property when you deduct all the expenses you invested so much money without any profit. the one that works and the one that scams the system make the same amount of money and we live approx the same. something is wrong there. for those who say i the coments that a country needs to be monoethnic to be safe one question remains. How do legal migrants who go to work there make the country unsafe? I'm portuguese, we have many people from different ethnicities, and we are the 4th safest country in the world. You don't need to be monoethnic to be safe. In our case it would be historically innacurate with all the portuguese speaking countries around the world that have adopted most traces of the portuguese culture. I'm not taking a side, but British Columbia needs 52,000 construction workers to meet the high demand for housing. The government plans to bring in 52% of these workers from outside Canada. For those questioning the need for more immigrants, look at the numbers: Canada would struggle without immigrants to support its economy. We just need better visa regulations to ensure only skilled workers are allowed in.

India has 1.5 billion people and is heading for 1.7 billion they could emigrate 500 million and still be over crowded. USA has a cap for visas from India and people fight against it. Nothing against people from India but if you flood a country with one culture it has major impacts. How many people should Canada have 30 million , 50 million , 100 million , it is a question that needs an answer.
