But guess what, all roads lead back to Trump. Zelensky is now amenable to the minerals deal and Europe still wants the U.S. approval of the peace plan. It's like the entire world doesn't know history and how diplomacy works at turbulent times like this.

So let's punish people in a country that has been destroyed even more to force them into a deal with Russia ?? that would require Ukraine to give up territory absolutely not! Ukraine must remain in tact and return to its former glory ?? the United States of America ?? can no longer be trusted especially if they attacked their closest allies and insulted us continually did WW1 and WW2 mean absolutely nothing to the U.S.?? when Iran ?? took American hostages Canadians ?? worked tirelessly to devise a plan to get them back to the U.S. and succeeded in doing Just that the Canadians brought back the Americans safely. USA desperately needed planes diverted on 9/11, our airspace was shut down, Canada was right there for us, to take on massive unknown risk not knowing if planes had bombs; Canada entered WWII, years prior to the US, barley spoken of yet they stood tall without hesitation to fight for freedom and for QEII's funeral it was the Royal Canadian mounted police who were first in procession, a massive honor bestowed by the Queen, and much more. Canada has known for decades that we have put too many eggs in one basket - selling our resources primarily to the USA. We've had tariffs before and worked with them. Yet we still keep selling to the USA. This time is different. In conjunction with the tariffs, we have an American administration that is flat out insulting Canada. Saying we wouldn't exist economically if it wasn't for the USA. It's at a time when the USA won't promise not to use military force to annex land (Greenland) from a decades old ally. A time when clearly Putin is calling in his chips for whatever he has over Donald Trump. Canadians have had enough. We are directing our governments, provincial and federal, to finally, finally break from the north-south trade links. We need to establish stronger east-west trade links. The resources we have are wanted by many countries if the USA does not want them. It does mean much work within Canada. We need to get our AB-BC pipeline finished as well as the new sea terminal so we can ship our crude oil and natural gas to Japan and if need be, to China. We finally need to get out pipeline to the Atlantic coast finished so we can supply the UK and EU with our products. We need to double our rail capacity for shipping potash, uranium, rare minerals to Asia or Europe. Just as Trump hopes for a golden age of American companies coming home and building new plants in the USA, this will be a golden decade for Canada to create transportation corridors to get our resources to other buyers. America will have to look elsewhere for his raw materials. And we all know what that is - RUSSIA. They've already offered their rare minerals and crude oil. This is all clearly a well thought out scenario from the people working behind Trump to dismiss America's allies and trading partners - have us turn against the USA - as the excuse to open the door to Russian imports into the USA.

I’m am Ukrainian Canadian and over the last few days I see how the new US government’s policy ruining everything we all believe in so dearly: democracy, friendship, helping shoulder to those who needs support against the bloody dictators, and firing thousands of people without cause who provided cybersecurity, guarded fairness of your elections… all being flashed down the toilet. And I watch it being replaced with bulling those who is bleeding, stabbing the friends and neighbors, singing praise to the war criminals charged for crimes against humanity with unlawful deportation and transfer of 20,000 Ukrainian children into russia. Children?! And I want to ask you a question: will you be a silent bystander watching the world plummet into the hatred, redivisions of borders and the rule of heartless convicted “deal makers”? Too little too late Trudeau! Why is Canada still short 2,000 border guards? Why are no railway containers still not checked? Why is still only 1% of shipping containers checked? Why did you leave the borders wide open for nine years, allowing illegal drugs and immigrants to cross over? How many more illegal drug labs are still running in Canada that we don't know about? How much fentanyl is crossing the border into the US from Canada that wasn't caught (only 1% was caught)?

Well, from a European perspective, Trump is making the US if not an enemy (yet, anyway), surely not an ally or a friend, as you used to be.\nLots of European contracts will be lost - European countries will rely more on each other and Canada, Australia and other countries that we know we can still trust.\nAnd European consumers will move from American products and companies, especially anything Musk related, because people are really bothered and upset here, how easily an erratic madman can take a democratic country into an oppressive, destructive country.\nWe have no issues with the American people, apart from that you voluntarily brought this upon yourselves (and us), although it was screamingly obvious already in 2016.\nAnd you did it twice...

The only thing I think I'd disagree with here is Trudeau calling Trump a smart man. I know he's trying to appeal to his vanity, but it still feels icky.

I think I know why he's doing this. He doesn't like our Prime Minister. It's unfortunate. Don't believe it. But it's still true. And now we pay the price because of it.

We still haven't gotten a satisfactory answer why CNN carried the Trump rally when he got shot in the ear. Why was CNN there at all, they never showed up to any of his rallies... Did they know something?
